Party time! Excellent!
Who: Mac and anyone, really! If your character did not catch his recent entry, they may have also heard of the party by word of mouth or perhaps they are simply walking about Luceti and investigating what all the hubbub is about.
What: Mac's Birthday Party!
When: Earlier today~.
Where: Rec Center.
Summary: But I just- - it's Mac's 18th birthday.
Rating: I can't think of anything clever. But it shouldn't be a bloodbath. XD
Yo, yo! At last, Mac baby is no longer straddling the awkward line between adolescence and adulthood andhas finally grown his first and last chest hair is now a young man. Well technically, this occurred a few days ago, but a party makes it official, no?
This is the first time he has ever hosted such a gathering, and it likely shows in the lack of elaborate decorations and his uncertainty as to what to offer in the ways of entertainment. With the help of a few of his friends (let me know if you want your character to have lent a hand,) however, a respectable-looking table of foodstuffs has been arranged, at least, and without too much stress involved. Pizza, chips, cookies, assorted baked goods, something akin to chicken nuggets, and other finger-foods are laid out along with some fruit for Kazooie, and anyone who may prefer something a little healthier. One can expect pop, water, and juice in the ways of drinks. No alcohol for you (although this is not to say you cannot smuggle your own in. Looking at you, Guy.)
Throughout the party, Mac will be inquiring as to how people are doing, if they like the food, and otherwise smiling like a derp, trying not to think about how nice it would be if Doc had been here for this momentous occasion.
Later on, he'll grin sheepishly, clear his throat lightly, and make an impromptu speech:
"Hey guys... hi. Jus' wanna say it's nice t'see ya an' thank you all f'comin'. It, uh, it means a lot. Y'people here in Luceti been real good t'me." [He purses his lips and nods, instinctively breaking into a chuckle to hide the emotion creeping into his voice.] "Talkin' t'me in good times an' helpin' me out in the bad. I know that I can count on you guys, an' I wantchya to know that you can count on me, too. Some days I wake up really wishin' I was home, an' it can get real hard... but then, but then I talk t'one a' y'guys, an' it makes bein' here a lot more okay. If I'm gonna be stuck here for a while, least it's with you guys." [Another laugh, and a faint sniff.] "...Anyway, I hope y'have fun an' all. If we run outta pop or somethin', just let me know an' I'll run out and grab some stuff. Take it easy."
Now, mingle and be merry (and tag yourselves in if I forget)!

Beast will have helped out if Mac asked for it ^^
He also has a gift (however badly-wrapped) tucked under his unused arm, unsure where to put it until he's directed.]
Awesome! ;3
How's it goin', man? Yeah, there's them chips I was talkin' about.
[He plucks one from the heaping bowl and bites into it with a crunch.] This stuff don' ever get old.

[He takes another chip with a loud chomp.] Th-they really are good! The... [He picks up another one and looks at it.] Th-the red... is th-the ketchup?

They're friends, right? She thinks they're friends. Are they friends? Yeah. Friends.
In any case, she's trying to mingle with everyone else, occasionally straightening something that probably doesn't need it or taking a glance around just to see what everyone else is up to.]
Of course!
When he next catches her eye, he'll offer a smile and lazily raise his hand in greeting. If he happens to be standing nearby when this happens, he will certainly thank her again for her assistance. Hosting a party sure is hard work and he is sure he couldn't have pulled it off half as well without his buddies.]

So, how does it feel to be a grown u- uh, an adult?

What if he tells people about how awkward she was? What if he already has?! No one will ever take her seriously now! There has to be some way to do some kind of damage control. She forces a grin and attempts to give him a friendly, albeit stiff, wave.]

Anyway, the bored invalid also figures he owes Mac for all of the winnings that he'd garnered from that epic fight between the young boxer and Luffy.
So the pirate saunters in late -- probably after that speech sometime -- with a bottle of Crown Royal tucked under one arm.]
Birthdays. I love birthdays. Lots of free drinks and balloons and beautiful women. How old ARE you, lad?
no subject
Hey, cap'n. M'eighteen... guess I didn't make that real clear, huh.
[No fancy banner here - just heck of a lot of balloons.]

She's already contributed some nice, freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies, but she also has a couple of presents for Mac to drop off: a hand-drawn birthday card (of semi-dubious skill) and a clay pot with cuttings from one of her sprawling ivy plants. She would have given you something boxing-related, Mac, but she knows absolutely nothing about the sport. Whoops.
After she's gotten everything settled, Grune will wander about and talk to just about everyone--including, of course, the birthday boy!]

Yo, Miss Grune! [He catches up with her, a can of pop in hand and the other jammed into his pocket.] Thanks f'everythin' - really 'ppreciate it. ...Y'been a real big help.

[His gaze then falls on the gift - and he notes it has been carefully wrapped. He can appreciate such a detail when his own wrapping skills leave much to be desired.]

/ROLLS IN SO LATE... :'DD also Kazooie's probably too lazy to help /shot
Feel free to run into her at any point - playing party games, nomming all the food, generally being a nuisance, and - last but not least - playing a rather familiar tune - albeit in the weird buzzing hum of a kazoo-bugle fusion.
... Feel free to tell her she's being annoying. She can take it!]

It's a pretty nondescript object - tubular, bright blue and shiny metal. It doesn't look like it would really make any fancy sounds, but it operates on Cartoon Logic.]

Or pink.)You can catch her hanging around the food, or the games, or her friends! After the rude revelations of earlier in the month, this is definitely something she needs.]

Great t'see ya again, Pao-lin - an' thanks for the cookies. If y'need anythin', jus' lemme know an' I'll see what I can do.

I should be the one telling you that, shouldn't I?
