On the 25th, Lucetians are ushered in to join an already growing army to repel the Cultists.

On the 26th, strange symptoms are reported. The first Runners appear and by nightfall, the hospital is lost.

On the 27th, the cultist horde is completely lost to the virus. They send no more reinforcements.

On the 28th, the situation is grim and an evacuation is called. But the battle is not over.

Notes: There will be two NPC threads. One for Specialist Davis and another for Carol.

[Aang makes his way to an alley downtown that Robin established as a meetup point to check-in with each other. He is visibly nervous and shaken by the encounters he's had so far. But Robin seems like he has experience with this kind of weird thing. Maybe he can help.]

[Robin has been starving for hours now. He's lost track of where he is, or what he was doing before -- none of it's as important as getting some decent food. He'd come here for some reason he couldn't be bothered to remember now. Don't care anymore. Too hungry.

At least he's found something to occupy him for the time being. There was something with wings that made noises when he bit into it. It had feathers but the feathers didn't taste as good as the squishy parts. Squishy like the squishy noise its parts make in his mouth. Squish squish squish swallow. The food stopped making noise a while ago, but it's still good enough to keep him huddled over it, tense and prepared to defend his meal from anything that might try to take it away.]

[Aang heard a blood-curdling noise, a mix of chewing and... squishiness. In the worst-sounding way possible.

He slowly turns in the direction of the noise, seeing a familiar cape and dark hair hunched over something out of his sight.]

[There's something else there. It's a something else that might potentially be warmer. An exceptionally greedy side of him dares to fantasize about having two things to eat all by himself.

Though he doesn't leave his conquest just yet, his head raises to focus on Aang. He's still chewing, openmouthed, blood and sinew carelessly dribbling down his chin.

Now might be a good time for Aang to start running.]

[It would, but Aang is frozen for a moment. Because he's looking at Robin's face, aghast.]

Robin?

[Robin perks up. That noise. That's the noise food makes.

And mow he's dropping the corpse in his arms and bounding closer to Aang, growling and rabid. This one's smaller than the one he was already eating, but anything was better as long as it was more.]

[He's breathing heavily, horrified. They got Robin. They got Robin and he's coming for me.

But after a second, he gains some control of himself. His legs feel leaden, still, unable to move. But he's able to thrust his hand out, almost instinctively and uses airbending to thrust forward with wind strong enough to hold another back.]

[The air powers catch Robin off-guard, and he stumbles back against the air pressure. But determination just makes the food taste better, so he'll dig his feet into the ground for traction, hunkering down low and primal as he struggles forward, slowed but undeterred.]

[He sees him struggling. He could probably walk his way through the wind soon. And he's still too afraid to run or try something that would hurt him. It's all too much for him.]

Please, Dick! Please listen! It's me, Aang!

[Normally, using that name will send Robin into a fury not unlike this zombie-style rage. But this time, there's no shift in demeanor, no indication that he's understood the words that were expressed at all.

Right now, he's focused on getting through this wind and taking a bite out of the one who caused it.]

[He has to focus or he won't be able to save himself. So he gulps, then stomps at the ground, while still producing air with his hands, kicking with earthbending to shift a piece of the ground forward, so hopefully Robin can be tripped up.]
