DRAFT - The Battle of Vaskoth

On the 25th, Lucetians are ushered in to join an already growing army to repel the Cultists.

On the 26th, strange symptoms are reported. The first Runners appear and by nightfall, the hospital is lost.

On the 27th, the cultist horde is completely lost to the virus. They send no more reinforcements.

On the 28th, the situation is grim and an evacuation is called. But the battle is not over.

Notes: There will be two NPC threads. One for Specialist Davis and another for Carol.

[Silver has seen Moro stalk, chase down, and kill. It takes mere seconds for her to chase, leap, and pounce a deer.

What he has likely never seen? Moro on the battlefield. Even from a distance, she never stills, tearing through her opponents and throwing them aside as she charged through their ranks. Most blows never land on her. Other weapons leave some wounds, but they are minor and barely pierce her hide. Some arrows and spears stick out of her skin, not even irritating her or slowing her down. Not even exhaustion seems to strike her, and it's obvious her body does not bleed out enough from these mere scratches of wounds to stop her. She does not stand tall and proud, as most legendary Pokémon would. Instead, she is swift, low, and for as big as she is, quite surprising and stealthy. If only because she moved so swiftly and kept herself low that troops did not see her until she was well on top of them.

This posed quite true for allies, as well. From right behind Silver, an enormous rush of air and brush of fur speeds by, accompanied only by the screaming of the enemy troops as they're trampled under her paws or crushed in her bite. She pauses, for once, to see what state Silver was in.]

25th

[Silver's completely engrossed in what he's doing. He's silently grateful for Moro's assistance from behind, because it allows him to focus on something with the three of his Pokémon.

Feraligatr is the first of this three part combo; he sends out a giant wave of water from in front of him in the form of Surf. Then comes Sneasel, who freezes the entire wave of water over, trapping a considerable amount of washed out enemies in ice.

Then comes Murkrow with Steel Wing, who cleaves through the lot of them like a hot knife through butter. If only he knew that the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

He's doing just fine. He's not particularly pleased with the damage he's doing to these soldiers, but it doesn't stop him from enjoying the action, the adrenaline rush, the fighting.]

[Impressive! The ruthlessness appeals greatly to Moro. Still, she could stand to have some of these weapons pulled out of her flesh... she takes a moment of pause, briefly.]

Climb on.

[He won't even question it. He recalls Feraligatr and Murkrow. Sneasel hops on his shoulder and he jumps up good distance before hoisting himself over and on top of her. Jeez, she's big. But he's on.]

[biteoffherhead]

[Good, then pick off some of those embedded weapons. Maybe use a spear, yourself...

But hold on tight, because Moro takes off, running swiftly and powerfully towards another cluster of soldiers.]

[tsuntrader]

[Whoa whoa whoa-

welp. Thanks for the warning, Moro. It takes some adjustment, but it's not long before he's prying weapons out of her. Jeez, these really did nothing to her...]

[biteoffherhead]

[Pretty much! The muscles flinch, but it does nothing to elicit anything more than a growl amidst her roaring and snarling. And as she finally collides with the army, chaos erupts again, and she rips into them. Body parts flying, people getting bitten cleanly in half, or simply getting tossed aside as she thrashes about.

You've come along for the most primal carnage Moro could offer.]

[tsuntrader]

[...And upon watching these events pass, he's suddenly more and more glad that he's safely on top of here and avoiding the chaos than on the receiving end of it.

It's not the rampaging itself that throws him off. It's the view. It's the sounds. But he continues his job, being sure to have Sneasel hit some more long range targets with ice and aiming the weapons he's throwing down to do damage instead of being reused.]

[biteoffherhead]

[The screaming, the shouting, the squelch of flesh... on top of that, the reek of bodies that Silver would otherwise likely not know. Not like this.

It seems to last forever, but the attack lasts only 30 seconds or so before she leaps and moves on, running an arc around the battle as a whole to single out the weakest unit.]

[tsuntrader]

[Oh thank god that's- wait a minute.]

I was with someone. [So he needs to go back and get him, so he'll just be going now-]

[biteoffherhead]

Show me.

[She skids to a stop, pivoting and turning back around. Surprisingly agile, for her size!]

[tsuntrader]

[...Well, okay.] A little to the left. He has a black hat and coat and Pokémon like I do.

[biteoffherhead]

Shift your weight.

[To tell her where to go, because she's racing back and just waiting for the cues.




HEY INGO. A wolf descends within your area, crunching a soldier interfering with you. He... well, his bottom half and legs sort of land at your feet.

S'up.]

[Ingo was just minding his own business, you know, fighting with Archeops and Haxorus... he's never seen a giant-ass wolf before, nor had a bunch of bloody limbs thrown at his feet, so THIS IS A LOT OF FIRSTS AND GREAT ODIN'S MURKROW HE'S SERIOUSLY GOING TO HAVE A MAJOR HEART ATTACK OH MY GOD HE'S DONE F--


....Si--] --Silver?

Recall your Pokémon and hop on! [Hurry up Ingo don't think don't talk just get up here. Silver has his arms out to help pull him up.]

Do it now. Or I'll crush your skull.

[IF YOU NEEDED JUST A LITTLE MORE INCENTIVE...]

[YOU DIDN'T NEED TO TELL HIM TWICE, AND DEFINITELY NOT LIKE THAT. In case he wasn't going to be traumatized enough, you know...

He'll grab Silver's offered arms and get swung aboard, recalling his Pokemon as fast as he can. G--Goodness gracious, Silver, you have.... quite the variety of allies........]

[tsuntrader]

[...That was a little unnecessary, Mo- whatever.]

Hold onto me. [YOU ARE THE DAMSEL IN DISTRESS AND MORO IS HIS MIGHTY STEED no seriously he's just gotten more used to this than you and he can't have his family falling off of Moro, okay. Sneasel switches seats, now clinging onto Ingo instead of Moro. You better hold on tight, man.]

[biteoffherhead]

[And ZOOM off she goes, covering huge amounts of ground with her huge stride. Circle, circle, circle... okay charging. Moro charges in, tearing through the soldiers again, flinging gore everywhere.]

[I AM GAMEVERSE AND WHAT IS THIS

Seriously, though-- he'll tighten his hold around Silver without a second thought, and try not to stare too hard at this.... havoc. Oh, her white fur does nothing to hide the gore splattered upon it...

Ingo will use most of his focus not used to stay attached to keep from being sick.]

[I AM SPECIALVERSE AND WHAT IS THIS

Well, no, he's kind of used to it by the second round. ...Kind of. After a moment he tries to pull Ingo's head down- he can cover his eyes. He can try to block it out. It's okay. Silver will pull him back into reality when needed.

But Silver can't stop looking at it. It's a trainwreck. He can't pull away. It leaves a whole new gut wrenching impression of Moro that he didn't previously comprehend and is such a concentrated amount of ravaged and bloody violence that he can barely handle it.

He can barely handle it, but he needs to. He has to endure it. Not only that, but he has to focus on what's actually going on around them. -In fact, he shifts his weight a little to see if he can steer Moro into a better direction- one that gives her more leverage. He's testing his boundaries, his control. How much trust she has in her. If it's nothing, that's fine too. He can try to fend off weapons and pay attention.]

[biteoffherhead]

[The turn in Silver's weight is a cue that Moro follows, turning and racing to the next attack, knocking over hapless forces and landing on a new group. They stabbed with spears and slashed with swords, but it did little to nothing to the fearsome god.

Well, there's one particularly nasty stab in the neck by a spear, and the spear gets lodged there. Silver, you're doing stuff - hey Ingo why don't you pry that out of her throat for her?]

[Oh, god..... Oh, god. Well-- he shouldn't act like he's suffering, he's not the one with the spear in his neck... and yet, he prays he doesn't pass out. don't be a wimp ingo you have to do this

Okay. Okay, he can... oh god-- oh god okay he's got a hold of it AAAAH SHIT THERE IT GOES

[Oh good, he got it out. Silver's quick to yank that right out of Ingo's hands and use it to fend off a few incoming nearby weapons.]
