Happy Happy birthday!
Who: Close friends of Rei Hino's and one other guest
What: Birthday party surprise times!
When: April 17th
Where: Tsukino Shrine around 7pmish
Summary: Rei is getting a surprise birthday party!
Rating: PG
Helios had done all he could to make sure Rei was out long enough from the shrine to setup for what was indeed her birthday. With some help from her friends and close acquaintances Helios had decorated the shrine in some lights and lanterns for the occasion. It was nothing too outrageous because he knew Rei was a more subtle person, so the decorations are few but meaningful.
Birthdays are good for starting fresh, and spring is a time for letting go of the past and starting anew. The lanterns symbolize that but also help with the festivities. Even if its a small affair Helios puts a lot of hard work into it because of how helpful Rei has been these past few weeks. So to help ease out of the terrible feelings since the draft and to celebrate the birthday of a good friend Helios will invite whoever is close to the young woman.
((ooc; For the sake of not hurting my hands trying to juggle both a post and a log I'm just going to handwave Helios putting up the announcement over the journals to help set things up for Rei's party. If you're character is a close acquaintance/friend of Rei's they're more than welcome to stop by!))

She had initially been helping with redecorating the inside of the shrine when she eventually headed out of the building, her eyes on the look-out for anything else that potentially needed setting up. It was then when she saw Tsuzuki sweeping not far away from her.
Yes, that was a good idea as well, and even though it looked like he had it covered, she would still make sure whether she could provide any assistance.]
Do you need any help?

[Tsuzuki tentatively points to the nearby bag, a weak smile pulling at his mouth. There are more party decorations there.]
I'm Tsuzuki.

I am Ai Nanasaki. It is a pleasure to meet you.
[She bowed in Tsuzuki's direction as she said it, a habit she had difficulty shaking off.]

It's a pleasure to meet you, too.
[He rests his chin on his hands, on the top of the broom. The preparations is something he's having fun with, as well, which is why he is curious to see what she's choosing to pull out.]
It's really kind of you to help. Have you known Rei long?

...Ever since I was taken to this place about a month ago... She has been really helpful to me since I met her.
[And what she got out of the bag was a few small, subtle hanging decorations, most of them obviously Japanese in nature, with a few of them having small maneki neko attached to them. Japan's focus on lucky fortunes was going to be certainly tangible.]
It is no problem, I like doing it. [She gave an earnest soft smile as she said it.]

You're a new feather, then. Have you found a place to live yet?
[As she pulls out the small decorative cats, Tsuzuki can't help but come closer to help her put them up.]
Those are perfect!

Of course, on the first day... A whole month here homeless would have been quite depressing, not to mention pointless given how many apartments are free for the taking here...
[Ai then nodded Tsuzuki's way with a soft smile on her lips in response to his enthusiasm about her choice of decoration, her features showing her appreciation for his help putting them out.]
I like how they look a lot, and hopefully, they will bring Hino-san luck for the next year.
