Fare thee well, spring break.
Who: SCHOOL PEOPLE and all interested parties! Students, tutors, teachers, and anyone who wants to poke their head in.
What: SCHOOL.
When: SCHOOL... from Monday, April 15th to Thursday the 18th, 9:00-2:30 every day.
Where: SCHOOL.
Summary: SCHOOL re-opens following the impromptu break caused by the TERRACE draft.
Rating: A+
[With all teachers back on site and everyone returned from the draft with time for recovery, school is back in action. As warned, long overdue homework assignments are to be turned in on the first day back. Otherwise it's business as usual, though there may be a couple of new faces floating around class. New students will take a quick assessment test to help gauge their knowledge before joining in on classes. There, they can mingle with the rest of their classmates... as long as they aren't doing it in the middle of a lecture, of course.
One thing of note: the upcoming cultural fair! Discussion about it will begin in world sharing class. Students will be encouraged to think about what they want to do, as well as to spread the word among the Lucetifolk. Details in the appropriate world sharing thread below!]
((OOC: For the sake of efficiency, let's say an announcement regarding the date of the school's re-opening went up on the journal network the week before. If you haven't put your character on the school roster yet, please head over here and do so!
If you'd like to have your character doing things outside of the threads already set up, feel free to create new ones! Have fun and make friends.))

[Science!]
So V decides to make a game out of seeing how many of the Lifesavers she can pop into her mouth while no one's looking. Mmm! Cherry!
She's up to three, now.][Science!]
WOW WHAT LANGUAGE ARE THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN? It can't be English, right? Also this paper is just not colorful enough or filled up with as many diagrams as she usually requires and prefers. Or...any diagrams. Why are there no diagrams.
Ikki is sadly no better than her lab partner. Although she started out trying to beautify the instruction sheet, she shortly lost interest (partly because she still couldn't puzzle out what some of the instructions were asking) to peer over at Vanellope - HEY. ]
That's our seed candy! We're supposed to plant it!
[ ...She...thinks...? ]
[Science!]
Anyway, I've got no idea how to do this. These instructions are way too long and boring. It needs more pictures on how to do stuff!
[Science!]
[ Because inquiring minds might want candy trees of their own.. ]
There aren't ANY pictures! And I don't know what some of this is saying at all. ...Geeeeze, are we gonna get a bad grade?
[Science!]
A bad grade?! That's not fair! Maybe we gotta ask a teacher...
[Science!]
[Science!]
Professor!!
[Science!] is ordering a thing, I don't know
Is everything all right?
[Science!] LAYTON > IKKI > V
[ That's said super cheerfully, since...
...well, Ikki has no clue what she's doing. HELP. ]
[Science!]
This paper needs more pictures!
[Science!]
Sorry. I hoped these written instructions would be enough to go by. What are you having trouble with?
[Science!]
[ ...
She's forgotten what the real experiment is, if she ever really got that part. ]
Vee says planting our lightsaver won't work!
[Science!]
Yeah. Lifesavers won't grow into anything. So we dunno what they're for...?
[Science!]
Well... I would love to tell you, but I don't want to ruin the surprise. Why don't you try following the instructions step by step? You can ignore the science for now and revisit it when you need to explain the events of the experiment.
[Science!]
[ YOU LOST HER AT WORD ONE...
But she's skipping to the steps and...doesn't look any more enlightened, actually. ] Is "em el" like a teaspoon?
[Science!]
[Science!]
Meanwhile Vanellope pops another Lifesaver into her mouth while she reads through the instructions again. Hmm.
Oh, is she supposed to say something?]
Sooo we just keep putting sugar in the water?
[Science!]
Erm... yes, essentially. The "em el" stands for milliliters, a unit of volume. The numbers on your beaker are measured in the same units.
[Science!]
Okay, but where do we plant the seed? It said it was a seed!
