Katara's Earth-Gazebo Birthday Jamboree
Who: The Gaang, their assorted wacky friends and maybe even random passersby!
What: Katara's 18th birthday party!.
When: The evening of July 5th!
Where: A temporary earthbent gazebo near House 56!
Summary: It's Katara's birthday! Everyone come on over. Maybe things that aren't depressing will happen!

[Katara's usually been the one to turn away from the attention of birthday parties. But with all the heaviness of the last few months - and especially with Sokka's prolonged absence, he knew that the levity of this party could be just what they needed. So he did what he could to arrange it. That day, they encouraged Katara's wanderings away from home while they covertly prepared the party. Well, it's only covert in the sense that Katara wasn't in the general vicinity.
Working together, the earthbenders manage to erect a rocky gazebo near the house, blocking out the Sokka head statue that was already there (a tarp was thrown over it for good measure). And within the gazebo, some tables are set up. They've managed to enlist Rapunzel for catering duty, and the other members of the Gaang contribute in some areas where they have skill. There's also a birthday cake that Aang made with Rapunzel's help.
And for the final touch, just as the time seems to be approaching that Katara's return is expected, Aang takes to the skies with Ikki and Korra atop Appa. Together, they do some cloudbending to make the nearby clouds into different shapes - particularly Water Tribe symbols. They put the most effort into one matching the symbol on Katara's necklace.
A message is sent out over the journals, filtered from Katara, to invite a variety of friends to come over and hang out, even people who don't know them.]
