Luceti Valley - The First Log

Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

3rd day

[ Part time job, you say? While Ikki certainly isn't out to buy any clothes - nearly all her things are made by her mother, a seamstress - she's well aware which shop he father's cousin works in. Ikki tends to classify Elie as a cousin of hers, too; it's less complicated than any other explanation, and Aunt Konan and Uncle Nagato are pretty much her favorite aunt and uncle.

Without any non-great uncles and aunts, she makes due.

So when she runs into the shop it's entirely to say hello to her cousin, and Ikki makes a beeline for the counter, nearly skipping. Today she's dressed in a yellow sundress, buttoned down the front, and her curls are held back with a matching yellow headband. ]

Eliiiiiiiiie! Today's the day, right?!

[ The dance is pretty much the thing she most wants in the world. It's so LAME that elementary school kids can't go, too...So she'll settle for grilling Elie for every detail before and after. ]

3rd day

[Before Ikki can get up to the counter, Elie will have come out and swooped Ikki up into a hug.]

Yeah, today's the day! I've got my dress at home, I'm mainly here to pick up some extra stuff I had the boss save for me. But with the way you're dressed, I could almost say you want me to smuggle you in with me. Am I right?

[ Best cousin! Ikki giggles madly. ]

Maaaaaybe. I wish I COULD go. Or that my school had one, too!

You'll get there eventually! I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a picture thing there, so I'll get a good picture to bring back to show off! Though if I could smuggle you in... I wonder what the best way would be?

[Yep, she's thinking. Elie's pretty sure she'd get caught, but it's the thought that counts!]
