The first step is the one you believe in

Who: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark, and everyone who has gathered there today.
What: A wedding and reception
When: Sept 14, All Day
Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting married finally officially finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.

After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.

Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?

In between keeping Pepper calm and Not Panicking, Natasha finds time to swing by the room Tony's been holed up in, poking her head in the door with a crooked smile as she finds the groom fidgeting within.

"Mr. Stark, the jet's all fueled and ready for a flight to Vegas. Would you like me to kidnap the bride for you?"

Tony glanced over his shoulder at her, surprise not-quite trumping his anxiousness. "Why should you get to do the fun part? I'd rather pin explaining us to everyone on you."

Natasha just grins as she steps into the room. "I'm allowed to have the fun part. I'm the Maid of Honor. Plus, you're not allowed to see her dress until she walks down the aisle," she reminded him, then tapped her chin thoughtfully. "We may have to blindfold you if you intend to make a quick getaway."

All teasing aside though, she gives him a fond look as she approaches. "Are you a nervous wreck yet?"

For all intents and purposes, he did look adequately nervous - and, well, he was, previously exchanged vows or no. "I don't think we're quite to 'wreck' stage - I mean, it'd be way too cliche of me to be getting cold feet on my wedding day. And we can't have that."

"Oh, we won't. Pepper's given me permission to shoot you if you look like you're about to abandon ship," she added teasingly. Well. Mostly teasingly. With Natasha, sometimes it was difficult to tell.

"But only in the kneecaps," she adds reassuringly a moment later. Just in case Tony started to fear for his life.

She gave in and grinned, laughter lurking in her eyes at that. "You're welcome." Her gaze softened a hint as she let her gaze wander over the picture he made. "You look wonderful, by the way. Pepper's still got you beat, but that's to be expected of the bride. She's breathtaking, of course. Are you ready for this?" There was genuine curiosity in her gaze as she surveyed him for a moment, a thoughtful consideration of him.

He might have been a little less certain of the answer, were he not already married to Pepper in his own heart. "Ready for my breath to be taken away? As long as I don't suffocate at my own wedding, I think we'll be good, yeah."

She studied him as he answered her, then inclined her head, satisfied in finding whatever she'd been looking for. "Good," she stated simply, giving him a strange little smile before leaning in and dropping a quick peck on his cheek.

"Congratulations, Tony. I couldn't be happier for you."
