The first step is the one you believe in
Who: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark, and everyone who has gathered there today.
What: A wedding and reception
When: Sept 14, All Day
Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting marriedfinally officially finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.
After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.
Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?
{{ooc: Visual references and details can be found here. Link is very image heavy. There will be separate threads for before the ceremony, during, and the reception.
EDIT: Now with a sign up to catch the bouquet!}}

Tony
And, of course, maybe his nervousness was played up a bit considering everyone else would expect him to be nervous. He only had to keep up appearances for a little while longer, and then they'd be publicly married just as much as they were privately.
It was only a matter of time, now.

Her own tux was well-tailored, almost feminine in its lines, but she was unmistakeable as the Best (wo)Man. And she liked it that way, despite her cursory and mock protest when the suit first came up. In the end, the real goal was to be present and supportive and happy for the couple. As such, it was just about impossible for her not to be smiling.

"Considering all the time I spend in suits, I'd think I could handle tying a bowtie myself," he said as he stepped towards her. "But I guess you could get into the details of the suits in question, and - it's the sort of thing Pepper usually takes care of, anyway."
He actually hadn't planned on saying that last part.

In truth, it was something of a preference of hers. She was the sort of woman who -- behind closed doors and outside of he public's eye -- she fussed. Over hair and clothing and minor injuries. The people she cared for were rarely spared her invasive attention. Xander Harris had had his tie tied by the Slayer on his wedding day. And it seemed, for some reason, to be important to her that she provide the same service for Tony Stark.
Buffy caught the strip of fabric in her fingers and tilted her head. Smiled. "Excited? Giddy? Terrified?"

"How about all three? Is that an option? I'm deciding that's an option."

She wasn't happy with the first result, and so untied it to start all over again. "Did you ever ever think you'd be standing here? About to do this? Ever?"

But things changed. And so had he.

"Mr. Stark, the jet's all fueled and ready for a flight to Vegas. Would you like me to kidnap the bride for you?"

All teasing aside though, she gives him a fond look as she approaches. "Are you a nervous wreck yet?"

"But only in the kneecaps," she adds reassuringly a moment later. Just in case Tony started to fear for his life.

"Congratulations, Tony. I couldn't be happier for you."

Loki waves enthusiastically with one arm. The other one is holding a gross abomination that could come right out of a goddamn horror story. It is the cake pie. Or well, it has to pass as a pie.
"I have brought the present! And I have not used any strawberries!"
no subject
"I see. And - what else is in it, pray tell?"
no subject
[Loki pats the abomination with a certain sort of carefulness]
You wish to try a bite?

Sorry for the late, I've been on hiatus
Actual cake? This is an actual cake as well. Unless you are referring to the wedding cake.
Still, the wedding cake lacks the pie-aspect, you see?
[He leans in as if he is going to tell Tony a giant secret.]
According to Midgardian sources I must inform you that...the cake is a lie.
