Event Log - Malnosso World

Who: Everybody!
What: A field trip for the entirety of Luceti!
When: October 27th, until the end of November 2nd
Where: The Happiest Place on the Moon, Malnosso World!
Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

[Nagato had been fairly reluctant at first to explore the place that everyone had been dumped in, but it hadn't taken long before he'd slowly gotten intrigued by... essentially everything. He'd never seen anything remotely like this place after all, since his original home had nothing like amusement parks.

It meant he could be found just about anywhere in the park...

Though admittedly there was a definite priority for him on finding people he knew. He had zero interest in running around by himself, after all.

Mostly.

However... if one approached at the right time, they would see Nagato having some... trouble... with his surroundings. After all, every time he saw the color red, he flinched.

Every. Single. Time.

It was really sapping the fun out of exploring.]

(OOC: Any and everyone is welcome to come poke him, whether you knew him or not before the field trip. He's currently frightened of the color red, so have fun with that!)

[At some point in the week while she wasn't in Casino Land winning everything in there, she'll find Nagato, and despite still not being fully healed in any sense of the word, she'll run (halfway) to kind of jump-hug him.

It's sort of reflex, at this point.

Once she realizes that... yeah, Nagato is not actually her dad and that... thing that those other Malnosso did, she'll slide down and smile a little awkwardly.]

Sorry, it's kinda reflex. Are you having fun?

[He registered who she was before she made contact, and thus caught her instead of dodging, so there was that speaking for her at the very least. Then, he swept his gaze over her, hunting for any red on her person... before relaxing when he didn't see any that wasn't a shade he couldn't ignore, giving her a genuine smile.]

No, it's fine. I'm just not used to getting such enthusiastic greetings from anyone. [He paused a moment, then grimaced.]

I would be, but I seem to have developed a new phobia.

And you? I haven't seen you, and I have been looking.

I had a little visit with the Malnosso [With a gesture to herself in that- bandages and all] but I've been all right.

[Though she pauses and just has to ask:]

A phobia? What do you mean?

I had wondered about the injuries... I could feed some chakra into you to speed your recovery, if you like? I may not be a healer but I have that much ability at least.

[Then he paused for a moment.]

I seem to have found an aversion to my favorite color.

You could try! I'll bet Haru would be really grateful too, since he doesn't like me like this.

[To his... favourite colour...?]

That's weird... so doesn't your hair bother you?

[yes Elie point that out......]

[He'll just give a little twitch at the hair comment, thank you so much Elie... and then he'd find out that absolutely none of his abilities are working.]

It appears that I can't heal you any at the moment after all. I'm... failing to have access....

[Konan's observed that Nagato seems to be agitated, but she's having some trouble determining the source. The only thing she's noticed is that he's reacting adversely to his favourite colour, but she can't see why such a thing would make him flinch. Or maybe it's just a coincidence and he's as troubled as she is by having his abilities completely suppressed.

That's what's bothering her. She doesn't like being in a strange place without being able to use her chakra. Or without weapons. She may have been working on her hand to hand combat skills, but it's still not her forte. Concerned, she approaches.]

Nagato. Are you all right? You seem troubled by something.

[She'd add that he seemed troubled by seeing red, but maybe there's more to it than that. She'll let him explain.]

[He looked to her... then immediately flushed, reaching to take her hand in in his to hold onto it rather securely. It was mortifying, but he'd rather tell her and have her find a way to help him fix it than not say anything and suffer in silence.]

I... am having difficulties with colors.

[Konan moves in so that she's right beside him when he speaks. There's no reason to draw attention to Nagato's situation.

Is it colours other than red, too?

[That's the only one she's seen him visibly flinch from, but maybe there's others that are making him react and he's just having the most adverse one to red.]

[And watch him stare at you like you're the only thing in the whole world Konan, because he's kind of scared to look around anywhere else. He's even got a hat on and his wings as tight to his back as he can get them to keep from noticing them moving.]

...

No...

Just red....

[Konan gives his hand a light squeeze. She's known him long enough to know when he's actually scared, and it's been a long time since she's seen him this alarmed.]

We'll figure something out.

[Perhaps some blue tinted glasses might work, if they can find them around here...that would make the red coloured things appear purple.]

[He nodded, taking a deep breath and giving her a lopsided smile.]

It wouldn't be so bad but it's on everything....

Then we'll have to find something. In the meantime, you can focus on me. Or my hair, even.

[If red is bothering him, perhaps blue will calm him.]

[He flushed, but a smile touched his lips anyway.] I can think of nothing better to focus on.

[Maybe it's just her imagination coupled with what the part of her that remembers that fake life married to him wants to believe, but that flush seemed to come only at the suggestion that he focus on her rather than at his predicament. It pleases her more than she wants to let on.]

It may help until we find a longer term solution.

[She'll have to keep an eye out for tinted glasses. Especially with all the bright colours around here. Red is everywhere.]

[He ducked his head slightly, but didn't take his eyes off her.]

It does. I've always liked watching you, so this isn't exactly going to be hard. [The words were softly spoken, but sincere, and given his other options it really only ramped up the drive to not look away. He hadn't really ever... indulged... in just staring at her before though. It would be interesting.]

Tell me if you happen to spot something you believe would work.

[He's always liked watching her. She's not one to blush easily, but her cheeks flush a faint shade of pink at that. Konan doesn't know exactly what to say to that, so instead she focuses on the problem at hand.]

I was thinking tinted sunglasses. If we can find glasses that are blue or green or even purple, that might mediate the effect somewhat. Blue or green would be best. Red tones would appear either purple or brown.

[Who knew that colour theory would have a practical application outside of art or home decorating?]

That would be excellent, then again, I knew you would find something to take care of it, you've always been exceptionally good at that. [He smiled at her, tilting his head slightly.]

[She's a problem solver. Although there is a part of her that's spiritual and another part that's an idealistic dreamer, Konan is ultimately pragmatic. She'll leave being a visionary leader up to Nagato.]

Now it's just a matter of actually finding the glasses.

[In the meantime, she'll walk hand in hand with him so that he can focus on her hair rather than having to worry about bumping into people.]

[He has no issues with falling into step behind her, a little smile on his lips.]

You will. If nothing else, I can enjoy this place without giving myself conniptions this way.

[Admittedly, he won't be able to enjoy much until she actually finds the glasses. If nothing else, she supposes she could always ask some of the Malnosso World staff if they've seen such a thing without explaining why it would be needed. She doesn't trust them, for the most part, but they do seem keen on making everyone enjoy themselves. She could always say that Nagato's eyes were bothering him and leave it at that if asked for an explanation...]

Have you tried any cotton candy yet?

[She tried some earlier and it was actually quite good. Sweet, but tasty.]

No, I'm afraid I've been rather preoccupied by... everything. I haven't actually eaten since getting here in any fashion, come to think of it.

[Now you had him wondering when the last time he bothered with sweets even was... and he's drawing a blank on anything that actually counted. Whoops.]
