[He lowers his hand into the water again, seeing how his fingers started to feel itchy just from that long in the air.] ... Not that I want to be a ghost. I'm happy to be part of the living.

Some of it. [ She stretches, an annoyed expression flitting across her face for a moment. ] But I decided that balancing exploration with the annoyances of a human body wasn't worth the little excitement I was getting. So here I am now.

I can totally sympathize right now. It's why I'm here, actually. [Teddy leans his head back against the edge of the pool, mirroring her annoyed expression.] This is the only place where I feel kind of uncomfortable versus practically in agony outside of it. [He's probably exaggerating a little, but it's super annoying.]

[Teddy lets out a sigh at that, then turns his eyes away, the topic making him a little uncomfortable. It's still so soon after everything that happened, after all.]

... You know I'm a shape-shifter, right? I've had this power all my life. So now that I don't have it anymore, it's like... It feels like my skin is frozen all the time.

I don't know what it is about water. I guess it's because it can shape itself, too, if someone guides it along. But if I got that against me... it feels better.
