Event Log - A Very Harvest Moon Valentines Day

[As if Kari even needs an event to fuel a girl-crush on Ginia...]

[But anyway, here she is in HQ, scoping the place out on a Tuesday night. Because who needs to wait for a weekend when you've got nowhere to be in the morning, right? That and she's not actually much of a party person. It was awkward, especially if you had no one you knew to talk to.]

[Which is why it's a good thing she spots Ginia, because hey, she knows Ginia! And she'll just be casually walking up to the bar, sitting on a stool like she totally belongs there, and leaning over the counter.]

Hey, barkeep. I'd like one alcohol, please.

[Good luck trying to guess her age, she's a tiny, magical Japanese girl.]

[With the general age of everyone in the village, Ginia doesn't even worry about carding. Sure, it'd be a different case if there was a ten to twelve year old asking for a drink, but for everyone else, she'll keep an eye on them and go easy on the drinks.

Ginia smiles and gives a small nod, looking totally stylish behind the bar in a dark purple blouse and black pencil skirt. She takes out her phone and types out a quick message.]

Any preference for what you want? Beer, cocktails, shots?

[Wow, and here Kari was expecting to be given a hard time! Unfortunately, having no real experience in drinks outside of a few incidents in other worlds, she doesn't really know any off the top of her head. But...]

Hmmm, how about a sweet and fruity cocktail to suit someone who dresses as sparkly and pink as I do? Go on and surprise me!

[A sweet and fruity cocktail befitting a magical girl. Ginia considers the recipes she knows and what's available in the bar before settling on a drink.

She grabs the blender and adds in two scoops of vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, measures out Amaretto and Creme de Cacao, ice, a small squirt of strawberry syrup. She blends until the mixture is smooth, pours it into a glass, then tops off with a bit of whipped cream and a strawberry garnish.

Enjoy a strawberry shortcake, Kari.]

[Oh my gosh that looks like a strawberry milkshake. There are alcohols that look like strawberry milkshakes!? Clearly Kari should drink more often ~~except no she really shouldn't~~.]

Wow, now that's impressive! It's pink and everything! [And she'll just go ahead and eat that strawberry first -- something sweet just in case the drink isn't as sweet as it looks.]

[With the ice cream, fresh strawberries, and strawberry syrup alone, the drink would definitely be a sweet shake with a small edge of alcohol. A fitting drink for a magical girl.]

[After only a moment of hesitation, he takes a nice long sip -- pauses for a minute -- and then goes right back in for another.]

It's delicious! I didn't know you could make something this sweet with alcohol. [Either that or it's just the sort of drink that would give her diabetes before it'd get her drunk.]

It's all about knowing what things pair well with what and how much you put in.

[And to be fair, Ginia tends to go a bit easier on the alcohol when it comes to teens. She doesn't mind them drinking, but they need to find their footing first.]

Glad you like it. How have you been?

Oh, you know. Same old, same old. I've been working on some new techniques with my magic, but it's been kind of slow moving for awhile now. At least this place gives me all the time in the world to work on it, though.

[And more reasons to hone those skills, given what this place is and all.]

Mind if I ask what you've been working on?

[The wide range of abilities in Luceti still impresses Ginia and she's always curious what people can do. It's one part keeping a catalog of everyone's abilities and potential for danger, and one part pure interest. She grew up reading fantasy and science-fiction novels and some tiny giddy part of her is glad to be living out that fantastic life now.]

Of course! See, it's supposed to be some kind of upgrade for my uniform. Or at least, that's what I hope it's gonna be. I've got a few really cool spells I can already do, but I can't really control them yet.

[Not without burning her hands to a crisp, at least.]

Uniform? Is there a correlation between your powers and your uniform?

Well, yeah! I mean, it may not look like much, but this stuff here is actually my armor. And there are a few spells that won't really work without hurting me, unless I can find something to make my armor a bit tougher.

Or, you know, find a way to add a pair of gloves or something.

[Ah, armor, that makes a lot of sense.]

Head protection wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Oh, I've already got plenty of that! I mean, come on, look at these things!

[She reaches up and pushes one of her blonde curls in front, pulling on the end to straighten it out only for it to spring back into place like a tightly coiled spring.]

I bet if I got close enough, I could knock someone out by smacking them in the face with one of these.

Put some weights in the tips of the curls for some extra damage.

[Serious or joking, who can tell.]

[Kari laughs either way -- and a little obnoxiously since the drink, weak as it is, is starting to get to her. Just a little.]

I'd probably wind up with neck problems if I did that. I mean, this is already a lot of hair! It's heavier than it looks.

[She's young. Though Ginia will prepare a glass of ice water and set it on the counter next to her drink.]

I don't doubt that. Your hair is quite impressive. Very cute.
