[Krillin, unlike Vegeta, isn't quite so drained by the 6th day. A senzu bean on Day 3 had perked him up and gotten rid of any of the minor wounds he was dealing with. He'd have offered you half, Grumpy, but he hasn't seen you anywhere near his position since the draft started.

But now, here he is, holding an unconscious foot soldier in his hand and looking down at Vegeta while he pummels a hapless elite into a pulp. Dropping his victim, Krillin floats over and points to a building that seems to be swarming with cultists.]

Seems like that's some sort of command post for this part of the city. Think we should teach them a lesson?

[He's definitely not doing so hot himself, conserving as much energy as he can at this point. Looking over to the building, he still manages to laugh a bit evilly. Mass murder still gets his blood pumping, and the idea of destroying all of them inside is a delicious thought.]

I think we should do more than that. Let's go.

[He keeps to the ground, weaving in and out of destroyed debris as fast as he can, making his way toward the building.]

[Good to know that Vegeta's still as crazy and psychotic as ever, even if he had seen the guy hugging that woman. Man...what a weird person she had to be...]

Yeah. Let's show them just how rough we can be. No more of those cheap tricks this time.

[He's staying airborne, floating a few feet to Vegeta's right and keeping up thanks to being able to move in a straight line. His own energy reserves are just fine, thank you.]

[It's not long before they reach the building, and Vegeta has placed himself behind a wall that had been blown off another building, jutting out of the ground. Peeking out from behind it, he takes a look at what they've got guarding the building. Nothing too serious, a few soldiers is all. The rest seem to be inside. Guarding something, maybe.]

Let's clip their wings and get inside. If they give us too much trouble we can blow the building sky high.

[Krillin joins him, relying on the slightly taller guy for information. He does trust Vegeta not to lead him wrong. After all, he's one of the good guys, mostly.]

Oh yeah. I can feel them all out there, and they don't seem very strong.

[A pause as he checks his battered sword.]

Are there any of those weird dogs?

Have you been using any magic from the spirits back in the village? [Because that'll tell him if they'd attract any dogs, to start.] Other than that, no, I don't think so. I'd be able to smell them a mile away, filthy creatures.

I don't know any. Not...yet anyway.

[He was thinking about it. More now, too.]

And if there are no dogs, good. That'll make this even easier. You ready?

[He just glares at Krillin for the question. Is he ready. Please.]

Just don't get in the way.

[Leaping out from behind their hiding place, he wastes no time dispatching one of the guards at the front of the entrance, sword flashing as he takes the head right off of it. The other one reacts slowly, but is getting ready to assault Vegeta.]

[...and he's assaulting right into an energy blast!]

Haah!

[Krillin's beam takes him full in the chest and arcs upward, rocketing him into the sky and shredding his wings in the process. This late in the draft, it's more important to be efficient than merciful.]

[He just watches Krillin destroy that thing. He's impressed.]

My. I didn't know you had it in you.

[Krillin scowls.]

I don't want to. But we can't mess around with these guys. I...figured that out the hard way.

Good to know. Maybe you'll be useful after all. [He grins, and opens the door carefully to the building. The room is empty, thankfully, as he steps in.]

Yeah...sure...

[He follows, fists balled and ready for a fight. Except...surprisingly, there's no enemies.]

D'you think they're upstairs?

[He subtly sniffs the air.]

No. That stench is coming from down there. [He walks over to an open stairway, looking down it. It looks menacing. Just the way Vegeta likes it to scare people like Krillin.]

[Krillin follows and peers down it, shaking his head as he points to a sign overhead.]

That's the basement. Smells...like the streets did before the bodies burned. I'm not goin' down there.

[He gives Krillin a death glare.]

Quit complaining. You know as well as I that if we let them live now, they might do us in in the end. Now get down there.

[Need a friendly push? His hand is positioned to do just that...]

[Shaking his head, Krillin points straight up.]

No, seriously, I feel someone moving up there. This all feels like a setup, Vegeta...

[He listens carefully now, narrowing his eyes. The smell suggested that there were people in the basement, but now that's he's turned his attention to listening, he can hear what Krillin is getting at. There was someone up there. Probably waiting to corner them downstairs.]

...I think you're right. I say we blast the ceiling out from underneath them.

[Krillin looks up, following the lines of energy he's sensing and points.]

Right there. Yeah. Let's light a fire up their butt.

You don't have to tell me twice.

[He raises his hand to the ceiling, an orb of energy forming as he's still smirking quite deviously.]

I hope you like your chicken well done. Because there isn't going to be much left of them after this.

Good. I could use a bucket of extra crispy.

[Krillin cups his own hands, charging up an energy blast of his own. A Kamehameha might be a bit much, but there could be elites up there, he figures...]

[He lets his energy blast fly, (hopefully simultaneously with Krillin's), the ceiling disintegrating from above them, taking whatever is up there with it. He only chuckles quietly as it happens, pleased to see the destruction.

What he doesn't realize is what is about to fall on their heads and the trap that's about to be sprung on them. The cultists were ready for them and he didn't even know it.]

[It works, of course. The building is cored like an apple. But...there's an enemy Shifter up there, confining the beams to a pair of neat holes.

And...with the way free...down come the regular guys!]

...ah...man...

Blast it! [The trap has been sprung, and Vegeta sees that shifter up there. That's exactly what he doesn't need right now, unsheathing his sword. They surround the two fighters on all sides, bloodlust in their eyes. He tightens his grip on the handle.]

Not good...

[Krillin's eyes go wide and he gulps but draws his battered old weapon too.]

...great...way to spoil the party, stupid shifters.
