Who: OPEN to all!
What: Movies, movies, movies! And games and food too.
When: All day Saturday, June 7th (starts 11ish)
Where: Rec Center
Summary: Ginia throws a movie marathon at the rec center for entertainment and post-draft distractions.
Rating: PG-13 for some of the movies shown, but let's keep it around here or lower.

On Thursday, flyers were posted around the village with another notification of the movie marathon and the list of movies that will be shown:

The Sword in the Stone
Grease
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Moulin Rouge
The Princess Bride
Jurassic Park
Clue
Rocky Horror Picture Show

Come Saturday, the list can also be found outside the rec center. Inside the center, there are tables set up filled with food: fruit and veggie platters, cookies and cake from the bakery, sandwiches, packages of popcorn (with a microwave nearby), and an assortment of packaged candy. As food begins running low, runners will be sent to the stores to bring back more. There are also drinks - water, sodas, juices, tea, and coffee. Alcohol is bring your own, but Ginia also has a small table set aside with some gin, whisky, vodka, and mixers.

Besides what seating is already in the rec center, additional chairs, large cushions, and even two beanbag chairs have been brought in. For those who want to hang out but not watch movies, there's still pool, board games, and a few deck of cards.

Enjoy, relax, and try not to think about the draft.

[Eleanor hadn't seen many movies in her life, and the ones in Rapture had been...very different from what people watched in Luceti. Black and white, old, romantic or ridiculous, they'd just been...they'd never really held her attention on the few occasions she'd even been allowed to see them.]

[Which was part of the reason she was here, really. She needed to get out, get away, but also she was curious enough to pop over and see this 'Jurassic Park' at least.]

[It was just an added bonus that she saw Kurt there, in his disguise of course, and she offered him a faint, friendly wave.]

Oh, hey Eleanor! [He smirked as he was kicking back on the couch. He had a bowl of popcorn nearby as well as a sandwich. And he had just opened the sandwich and scattered popcorn onto it.] Take a seat, enjoy the show!

[All Eleanor had found was a soda and two cookies. After her initial gorging during her early time in Luceti, the years of never having enough to eat had apparently settled in as habit, and she was more of a grazer now.]

[She sank down onto the couch next to him, smoothing down her skirt.]

I have never seen any of these movies before.

[He puts together his odd frankenstein's sandwhich with a smirk, glancing towards her as she sits. Kurt straightens up somewhat in his seating position from the lazy slump he had started up in.]

You haven't? Man, you've really been missing out! But there's nothing like seeing Jurassic Park for the first tie.

Probably. I've missed out on a lot of things.

[Hmm.]

So what's it about, anyway?

[Kurt sets his sandwich aside from the moment and spreads his arms out dramatically.]

Dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs.

[Eleanor looks at him, then over where the movie is going to be soon, then back at him.]

Do you mean finding their bones?

[Kurt's grin grows more wicked as he watches her reaction.]

Something a little more alive than that! Bones don't make for an exciting movie, after all.

I...[The teen hesitates.] I suppose I'll see for myself soon enough.

[Yeah, she doesn't get it, Kurt.]

...Is it a cartoon?

[Kurt makes the sound of a 'wrong' buzzer.]

This is all live action, man! ...Plus some really special effects! You'll see. [He smirks as he glances towards the opening credits.] Oh man, I forgot Newman was in this one!

[Eleanor hesitates, seemingly wanting to ask another question, but then lets it pass as she turns back to the screen. Kurt obviously knows more about the movie than she does so...]

Newman?

I'm guessing you haven't seen Seinfeld. Basically, he's a funny guy. I'll show you when we see him.

I haven't seen much of anything, Kurt. [She doesn't sound upset as she says this, only amused.]

I hope you don't mind me asking a lot of questions because I rather think I'm going to.

Ask away! This is going to be priceless.

[Eleanor is quiet for the moment, though she winces when the man gets yanked into the cage.]
