Summary: Ash has an idea. Mew plays along. Cilan does not.

[ So lately things have been pretty normal. Well, as normal as you would get around in Luceti. People arriving in Luceti, doing other things in Luceti. You know, that kind of thing.
Ash? He's been hanging around, training a bit, playing video games, and so on and so forth.
But today he's decided to do something a little different. First was finding Mew. Once that was accomplished it was asking Mew a favor of the following:
- Turn into this purple cat Pokemon called Purrloin.
- Go into Cilan's room
- If Cilan is in his room: to go next step. If Cilan is not in his room: wait until he walks into his room.
- See reaction
- ???
- Profit
Of course, Ash isn't a complete jerk. He has his good intentions for doing this. The question is will Cilan consider these good intentions. We'll find out in due time, right?

Too bad he has no idea of what kind of horror might be awaiting him today, though, but Cilan doesn't seem to anything amiss yet when he strolls into his room with his stack of books.]
Hm, which one to start with first--the flavor of mystery, or perhaps one of the other books with a scientific taste... [Look at him, so wrapped up in his own little world, unknowing of the terror that is to come...]

Ash moves a few paces back from the door before kneeling down and speaking in a hushed voice. ]
Okay, he's in there. Remember, just don't transform into anything else or else it won't work. We want to help him as much as we can.
[ A small 'Pika' from Pikachu agreeing with his trainer's words. Gotta do this right! ]
insert doom music
Purrloin!Mew begins to walk right in Cilan's room, the quiet cat walk. If Cilan still hasn't seen it yet, he's about to feel some furr rubbing on one leg and ankle. Look Cilan! Purrloins aren't bad at all!]

2/2 I wish I could say I was sorry but that would be a lie
Wh-wh-what--when did--ah! [He quickly picks up another book from the desk that he holds in front of him almost like a shield as he keeps his distance from it, staring at the Pokemon as if trying to confirm that yes, there is indeed a Purrloin there. Vaguely he notes the wings, but he's more concerned about the fact that it doesn't appear to be a hallucination and it was touching him just a second ago.
And now he's watching it veryyy carefully as if waiting for it to make a sudden or suspicious movement rather than trying to be buddies or anything like that, sorry to say. (At least he hasn't thought of throwing that book at it or something like that to get rid of it...)]

At least at first. But really, it depends on what happens. It's okay to be hard enough for Ash to not tell Cilan that the Purrloin isn't actually a Purrloin long enough so that Cilan could maybe get a little more used to Purrloins.
But... by the sound of that scream there it looks like it's going to be a long time. Ash wasn't expecting a shriek like that coming from Cilan. It really sounds like someone is getting murdered in there and if Ash didn't already know what was going on he would be very worried.
Which means he needs to put on a worried face. Okay. He can do that. Or try. Let's see how well his acting skills are when he waits for a second, then goes back down the hallway and crack open Cilan's door, not yet opening it. He doesn't have to intervene or pretend he ran down the hall to see what happened quite yet, right? ]

After Cilan somewhat calms down, that is... not running away, the Purrloin tilts it's head curiously at the poor scared human. Should it take a step? It drags one paw in front to see what will happen. See? Even Purrloin!Mew is being patient with you Cilan!]

Also the chuckles there don't help because that just makes Cilan frown more, and naturally he takes a step back when the Pokemon acts like it's about to take a step forward.]
Just...just stay right where you are! I'm onto your tricks, so you better not get any closer! [Wow, Cilan, it's just a cat, what possible trick do you think is gonna get played on you. (But seriously, where did it come from? Does it belong to a trainer here somewhere? ...No, that might not be so, since it has wings. So...it's a wild Purrloin? But then how did it get into the house...)]

Yes? Yes. Okay let's do this!
So opening the door he pokes his head in. ]
Cilan? What's goin' on in here?
yah. that's why pokemon discovered teleportation!
And when it hears that door opening, it looks at that direction to see Ash there. The Purrloin sits down where it's standing watching from Cilan to Ash, and back to Cilan again.]
teleporting purrloins sound like cilan's worst nightmare tbh
Can you help me get it to go somewhere else, please? As strange as this taste may be to suddenly have one of these Pokemon here, I'm not interested in having it here in my room, so... [Yeah, get over here and help us shoo it out or something.]

[ He looks at the Purrloin and smiles, kneeling down so he's more at its level. ]
Hey there, Purrloin? Do you wanna make friends with Cilan?
[ Pikachu says hello as well when Ash does. They're doing such a good job taking it out of the room already huh. ]

Ash, that's not what I was asking for help with... [Seriously how did "I don't want it in my room, help me get rid of it" translate as "We don't know how to be friends with it, please help us oh master of friendship."
(Why Cilan expected anything different is a mystery.)]

Eh? Well, wouldn't it be better if we got to know it? Maybe even play with it for a bit. It'll go home when it wants to, right? We shouldn't force it out.
[ With that Pikachu hops down from Ash's shoulder and hops over next to Purrloin before giving Cilan a 'Pika!' in encouragement. It won't be that bad just give it a try! ]
the purrloins are marching 1 by 1, hurra-hurra~
if by johto you mean "a place with no purrloins" then yes he is definitely going there
[--Cilan backs up further away again when the Purrloin starts walking towards him again, like an automatic reaction. (But eventually Cilan's gonna end up hitting a wall, right? Not that he's noticed yet...)]
...but I'm sorry, I don't think I can be friends with it. I don't trust those kind of Pokemon at all.

[ Bringing up that question again, of course. ]

Haven't I said before that I didn't like talking about this taste? [This is accompanied by him holding a hand up, the other still holding the book.] If you want to be friends with them, then do as you please. I, on the other hand, don't think that we would have a compatible bond with it.
[But Cilan, how do you know that if you don't at least try? It's not like you have much of a choice otherwise, since they're in the room and don't seem to have any intention of leaving soon.]

It seems he's forgotten about that book he had in his other hand that he was supposed to be using as a shield, 'cause instead he ends up toppling backwards and onto the floor. Oops.]

But for now, he blinks and massages the back of his head from where he's down on the ground--thankfully, it wasn't a hard fall, so he's alright. But then he freezes when he realizes that the Purrloin is sitting there, right on top of him.
...Oh, it is tempting to start screaming, but now he seems to be actually trying not to--after all, what if it starts scratching his face or something if he does? Can't have that...but he's too nervous to try to put his hands near it in order to push it off of him either, so he's just staring at it, shivering a little in fear.
This is like the most awkward staring contest in existence.]

...And yes, I did mean that literally, 'cause Cilan freezes up, teeth kind of gritting to keep from shrieking when the cat licks him and just OH GOD IT'S TASTING OUR FLESH before he just kind of collapses, like all the energy out of him is gone. If this was a cartoon there would probably be spirals for eyes like how some fainted Pokemon look.
