Who: Open to all! (Teachers, Students, the curious, newcomers welcome, anyone who might be at the battle dome around 1-3 pm, etc)
What: First Week(s)? of School and other catchall
When: September 17th-25thish (17, 18, 22-25 are class days; others can be used for clubs or tutoring or hanging out and the like if you want)
(Classes run from 9 AM-roughly 2:30 PM, and the log can include before and after-school activities)
Where: The school! (someday there'll be a cohesive layout for this)
Summary: The new year of school is finally underway, with testing, a look into classes, and general interaction for all involved.

[As mentioned here, it's the start of a fresh term!

For some sense of guidelines, the morning of the 17th (Wed!) will be filled with testing and review, for new students and returning students alike, until the lunch break. (And if anyone misses the initial testing, they can always take it at another time! Very handwaveable, that.)

Students can chat before they begin or after they finish, but they will be penalized for during. There will be baked goods and lemonade as a treat during the lunch period and after school. (If they need more time for the tests, they won't be allowed to leave the room with the others, though snacks will be made available for them as well.) Newer students can request a tour (if they hadn't received one already).

The playground is always open for after school or lunch break interactions.

The other classes - Art/Music, Magic, and World Sharing - will continue on as usual, and will be similar through the week. Magic will start off with questions about progress during the break for those pursuing interest in the spirits, and demonstrations, as well as a chance to compare the concept between worlds for the newer arrivals. World Sharing will allow students to show off locations in the battle dome, either ones previously viewed or new ones they want to introduce.

The other days will follow the usual schedule!

You're not limited to the headers! Just do what you want--these are just some suggestions as to what's going on, but they aren't the be-all-and-end-all of what can be played with! Chat with each other, set up things! And by all means play with the current ongoing shifts! It's meant to be for CR!]

[Oh man oh man. Who came up with the idea of having a test on the first day of school?

Sophie will look grumpy before the test, grumpy during the test, but fortunately her mood will improve greatly once it's done (and she has snacks in hand).]

How are you doing over there, Sophie?

[After helping the new arrivals, seeing how Sophie is settling back into the new term is definitely a priority of Raine's, especially after that last shift went down.]

I bet you were able to answer more than you thought you could before.

Yeah....

[That's true...but it still wasn't fun.]

Don't look so glum now. The hard part is over.

[That perks her up almost instantly. Yeah--yeah, that's right!]

Where are the snacks?

They're in the lunch room. Why don't we take a walk over there? [Because she knows better than to give a six year old full reign over a snack selection.]

[Raine is wise, especially with this six year old.]

[She nods, waiting for Sophie to join her at her side so she can lead her down to the lunch room.]

Did Fenimore or Grune pack a lunch for you today? If not, I'm sure we can find something you'd like.

Yeah. Fen did. [Smile.] G-Girl put cookies in it.

Good. It seems like you've got that covered, then. Though we'll see if anything else catches your eye.

Are there more cookies?

[wise_maiden]

I had a feeling you'd say that. [She laughs.] Well, how many cookies did Grune pack for you? We can see how many more you can get after we check that.

[Ninja math problems.]

Three? [She thinks?]

[wise_maiden]

[Hmmm. That already sounded like a lot.]

You can have up to five altogether, or you'll give yourself a tummy ache for sure. Six if you want to save some for after class.

So, if Grune already packed you three cookies, how many more does that mean you can have?

...Six?

[She missed the "more" part, oops.]

[wise_maiden]

[She shakes her head gently.] Try again. You already have three, after all.

[lostlegacy]

[Oh. That's what she's asking?

She quickly counts on her fingers, even if she doesn't really need to.]

Three. [Said with much more confidence this time.]

[wise_maiden]

Now you've got it. You'll just have to choose carefully.

[Oh man, only three? What if there are more than three kinds of cookies?

...Hang on.

Said as if she think she's being very clever:] Can I take some more for later?

[wise_maiden]

That's something we'll talk about later. [She full well knew that a child's definition of "later" didn't really mean "later".] Though if you want to swap one of the cookies you already have for something different, you can do that too.

[She frowns.]

What kinda cookies are there?

[Because Gee Girl does make pretty good cookies (when she doesn't forget and leave them in the oven too long). Maybe she doesn't want to trade.]

[wise_maiden]

There are many kinds... hmm. [And as luck would have it, they're entering the lunchroom.] It'll be easier just to show you.

[And she'll be able to see the trays, varying from chocolate chip, lemon, sugar, oatmeal, some of varying shape and possibly edibleness, but that depends on which tray she chooses from.]

[Well, they can rule out the oatmeal cookies right away. Only adults like oatmeal cookies. But huh, she's never seen that kind of cookie before.]

What's that? [She points at the lemon cookie.]
