Timey-Wimey Nonsense Part 1
Who: Everyone!
What: The Time Travel Trip 2014
When: HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO
Where: Luceti before it wascool Luceti
Summary: The residents are dragged into the past thanks to John's latest Shift. More information is here and here, and, ICly, here.
Rating: Varied
It's early morning in the quiet enclosure that will someday become Luceti. The sun is rising, birds are chirping in that annoyingly cheery way that makes you want to shoot them out of the trees, and the residents are beginning to wake up. Most of them are heading to work, either to farm, or to build, or to work the shops, or even just to prepare a nice breakfast for their families and neighbours. Everyone has something to do.
And then, out of nowhere, a couple hundred strangers show up in the middle of the woods.
At first there is confusion, and no shortage of caution, from the neighbours; newcomers are common enough, but usually they are announced beforehand, and never in such great numbers. The leaders of the town are called in to ask questions. The newcomers are free to explore, but any aggression will be met in kind; if need be, the Filial of the past will defend their homes. They're hoping it won't come to that, however. You're stuck with one another for a long time, after all.
Thankfully, there is one man who might be able to bring the natives and newcomers together: Tyr.
...And the other guy, maybe. We'll see.
((mingle and explore at will! further questions can be redirected to either of the posts linked above. NPCs will be available for plotty stuff soon.))

Glad to see you made it all right, Rei. This is...quite different.
[He was used to the modern conveniences, and he knew that she was too.]
no subject
It is, isn't it? Smaller, much more quaint. Not in a bad way, though.
no subject
[Cliff's tone was thoughtful in his reply.]
Though, I've gotta wonder what we're doing here. This all just seems like a set up for some problems we don't need to be dealing on top of whatever else he's got in mind for us.

[He sighed, leaning backward to stretch out his legs.]
Sheesh. I'm just glad we've got hot water.
no subject
[Certainly not with magic, with how drained she's feeling.]
And it's not so bad. It's not that different from the shrine, honestly.

[He grinned. If not for his experience on underdeveloped planets, he would be even less keen than he already was to rough it and make do with what they had.]
With a little planning and a little work, we can at least get a few more buildings up. It's just gonna take a lot of people pitching in and doing some hard work now for some relaxation later.
no subject
[Certainly not her with her small soft ones?]
You were asking for a project a while back...

I was, and that shed you found behind my apartment building is working out nice. Whoever the person was who used the thing, they really decked it out. Seems like it was almost gonna be some kinda bomb shelter, in a way. There's beds inside and stuff.
[But, mysterious prior Lucetians aside...]
We'll need to start with drawing up a few plans to see what we can get rolling, then work our way to making the actual buildings. It'll be getting the furniture that'll be the hard part...but, I think people can set up a few hammocks once we get the buildings set and deal with that for a while.

[She'll also help with magic however she can, once she reestablishes bonds with the spirits.]
no subject
Any help you can offer with all this will be much appreciated, I can guarantee you that.
[Though, Cliff had a hunch that it would be less with the plans and more with helping himself and others who were struggling with establishing bondd with those spirits. If that was their best bet, then why not take advantage of the available resources?]
no subject
[A shrug.]
And I'll do whatever I can, of course. Just...tell me when and what and if I can I will.
no subject
[He had no idea what all was going to be needed yet. There were too many unknowns.]
--Oh, that's right. Your Shrine's not here. Did you want help with setting up another here...like, a standalone....uh, thing?
[...athiest talking religion. He could visualize what he was talking about, but he didn't know the name.]
no subject
[Really, really she doesn't want to stay in the past.]
It's been a little over two years, and aside from drafts I've been there every single day. Some time to do other things might be good for me.
no subject
...It sounds like you're joining me in looking for a hobby then.

And one of those people you listed is definitely gonna be asking a few favors of you sometime soon. That does sound like a lot to keep you entertained.

[He leaned back and looked up at the sky.]
I'm hoping that whatever we've been brought here to do doesn't screw us up any when we get back to Luceti proper. I don't wanna lose the little things we've gotten outta this.
no subject
[She laughed and leaned back with him, fixing on a single cloud.]
I think John's probably on our side. He's been so before...
no subject
Guess all we've gotta do is trust him, huh?
