Summary: The happy couple needs some time alone to talk and...stuff.

True, Hikitsu arriving had been a great thing, but he did miss the fact that he pretty much had Takiko to himself (well, annoying now former housemate aside). It was still a bit strange to him to be around her and that they weren't being attacked by armies and assassins. Truly, he'd gone a whole month without some serious injury, that in and of itself was a feat. Still, it wasn't perfect here, but he was definitely going to do what he could to ensure she fell in love with him again.

So he realized, some time alone with little to no chance for interruptions, or chances for anyone to get hurt would do them a lot of good. And he wanted to surprise her, and he wanted to pick a place that just felt right.

He'd made the arrangements for them to have a nice romantic meal out by the lake, that would be a perfect setting. So first he set things up for a nice romantic picnic. He got some food from the restaurant, since his cooking would give away his plans right away. He also picked up a few things from the bakery, and of course set out a blanket for them.

Once things were ready, he went back to the house to find Takiko. He just hoped no one disturbed his preparations while he was bringing her here.

Strange, but almost a relief. Between being kidnapped, Hikitsu's arrival, her birthday and now Demyx leaving, it'd been a roller coaster of a month. Down time was good. And it was what she was enjoying now, sitting on the front step of the house with her hands clasped upon her knees. That was how he'd find her, and when she saw him coming, her face lit up.

It couldn't be helped. Lately, she'd come to realize that now as in the future, they were more than simply friends, or a priestess and her protector. her heart fluttered in her chest, and she smiled up at him. "Did you enjoy your walk?" she asked innocently, not at all aware of what he'd planned for them.
