While perusing the costume racks, Buffy had come across something that was, admittedly, an oldie; however, it was also absolutely acceptable. No one here, after all, had been there to witness the last time she wore this outfit. Whether her motivations rested in her own desire to attend or a desire to complete the instructions on the invitation? That's not entirely evident. Although it wouldn't be hard to suspect that Buffy quite simply preferred to be where action was most likely to make an appearance.

Buffy stepped lightly into the ballroom and had to give her eyes a moment to adjust to the light. There were some people she could already recognize and others whose costumes she would have to look at more closely. But for the moment, Buffy made the bee-line for what every poor sap goes for while they wait for their date to arrive--the snack table.

The Slayer has her Red Riding Hood basket slung casually over one arm and a handful of pretzels to occupy her until the Captain arrives. Please, costumed folk of Luceti, feel free to come and pester, gawk at, or chat to the fairy-tale heroine.
