At the door there stands a droid; he's wearing a very snazzy tux, and collecting the invitations. If you don't have an invitation, don't worry!

Just get the hell in that room. Thank you.

The ballroom is enormous, more than enough to accommodate you and your fellow captives. The lighting is overall somewhat dim to set the atmosphere; there are tables bunched together at one end of the room, and a rather large dance floor at the other (complete with lights, strobe and spotlight, and a DJ-droid in a sequined suit and sporting a hangman's noose around his neck). To the side, lengthy tables loaded with all sorts of partyriffic snacks and drinks. And of course, droids milling about in the same sharp suits the one at the door was clad in, all with little spooky variations to add festivity -an arrow through the head, Frankenstein bolts through the neck, vampire fangs, etc- as they seem to be setting chairs, cleaning up used plates and cups, and generally stopping anyone from sneaking out the windows or doors.

It can be noted, however, that the droids are terribly outnumbered.

You can join in the festivities; take a seat and wait for a friend or a date, have a snack or try to escape. Just make sure to make the night memorable.

Because there is something lurking outside...and if you leave to investigate, you might not come back.

"TRICK OR TREAT!"

Miu yelled at the top of her lungs, standing on one of the chairs before casually hopping off of it and moving over to the snack counter, filling a plate with just about...everything. She was wearing her Santa outfit (http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo173/BlinkingRune/vlcsnap-2009-10-31-15h37m12s221.png) that she nabbed from the shops a few weeks back.

She set her food down before climbing back on the chair and yelling to the room. "MERRY CHRISTMAS."

Ammy wasn't sure what all of that meant, but her shouting draws the wolf over all the same. She recognized the outfit Miu wore as the present she was given by the little girl, but this was only for an instant. She was more interested in the food that she put down.

So, she attempted to sneak up and take some of the food from the plate.

While Ammy didn't understand her invitation, the droid had stuffed the piece of paper in the little pouch she had strapped to her back, which carried her tokens. Now, however, it was empty. Of course, Ammy had to join in on the festivities, so she has on a costume, too!

Only it isn't big and elaborate. No, all it is is a piece of cloth on her face to act as a mask. And there isn't even anything on it! It seems to be just a blank piece of tan cloth. But in her mouth is a paint brush with ink that never seems to dry. As someone gets closer to her, she'll offer the paintbrush to them, asking them to draw a face, a landscape, or whatever may suit their fancy. What will they draw? Even she won't know, not with her eyes covered by partially see-through fabric.

Terra pauses, staring at the offered paintbrush. "Um...are you sure? I'm not really that good at painting...." Or art in general. She had given it a try before, but could never really make the image in her mind match the one in her head.

She can somethings be spotted, bouncing around all over the place since she can always be seen holding at least one piece of candy in her hands. Though what is she doing right now? Going around to random people, trying to act like a fail!guy, just because she has nothing better to do.

Tidus is having a brief sulk over at a table at being forced into a costume of his dad. (http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-07/art/dff-jecht.jpg) ...it's not so bad, though. He'd just wanted something cooler, and hadn't had any tokens left over to buy one for himself, so he'd left it to chance.

Spotting Rikku, however, Tidus vaults to his feet -and over the table- and calls out to her, waving. "Heyyy!"

Fina had decided to pick out an outfit at one of the stands after one of the droids rushing around the theme park that day had not so gently forced it into the confused Silvite's hand before running off again.

It was a strange request, but it would have been rude to refuse the invitation, so she decided to attend the ball. The dress she had picked earlier that day seemed somewhat familiar (http://galleryarcadia.doublemole.com/hirescharacterart/viceanitafilla.png) when she first saw it, although it seemed to match the atmosphere this holiday seemed to display and she decided to wear it. After all, that was what the invitation requested.

Cupil hovered nearby, who was dressed up (http://galleryarcadia.doublemole.com/screenshotsea/cutscene/1104.jpg) by the quiet girl to reflect the holiday, but it seemed more interested munching on the various snacks than anything else going on in the party. She was looking forward to celebrating Halloween, although she did seem vaguely anxious at the moment.

Spotting Fina by the snack table, Secret-Agent-Minato couldn't help but wander over. The costume didn't keep him from assuming his usual slouched posture after stopping beside her.

Rubi had recieved the message, but he had no intent of going. The Lucetiland thing had claimed a large portion of his forest, and he couldn't bring himself to care. He only wanted it gone.

Big mistake.

Rubi found himself being shoved into the party wearing a rather embarrassing and revealing caveman outfit (http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo173/BlinkingRune/ch2wildrock048.jpg). He immediately tried to find someplace to hide near the walls, since he figured the droids wouldn't be letting him leave soon. He'd watch for his chance, though.

Well hello there, fellow wallflower. How are you doing? Rubi wasn't the only one trying to slink away from this place. Dyne was currently residing in the further corner of the wall, arms crossed and generally looking displeased. It looks like you weren't the only one who got shoved into a questionable costume as he is now clothed in a more traditional red pirate outfit (http://www.comicbitsonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/treasure2.jpg).

It's nothing compared to yours though, and Dyne had to pause his reverie for a moment to stop and just...stare.

Initially, Gokudera really did have no intention of going to this ball. He's never been the kind to be in an enclosed space with hundreds of people crowded together and moving around--- even if that did make him sound like a certain prefect from his home world.
He had plans to mind his own business, tonight, maybe sneak in a cigarette while no one that knew he had quit was around.
He plans, however, were thoroughly trashed when he was carried off by the waist by some damn robot, forced into a pink maid dress (http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj111/StarEmbrace/125379468982-31393.png), and shoved into the ballroom of the hotel.
He's moved himself into a corner far away from any action, holding down the hem of his dress (although it reaches his knees). The sooner this night was over, the better.

Not that you can see this. The only indication is the height. ...Oh, and the SOS-Brigade insignia on the left pec.

The Heavy, finding himself invited to a party, had decided that this might be a good chance to play for the other team. No, not like that. His costume was... well, it was exactly the same as his normal outfit, but blue instead of red. He'd even made an effort to dye his wings blue, although it wasn't exceptionally successful. No Spy by any means, he still hoped that the disguise was enough to get some intel from those BLU bastards.

Currently, he's meandering around the snacks table, loudly and messily nomming on various delicious treats. He's also wielding his giant plushie Sasha/minigun. If anyone in blue wanders by, he'll probably greet you with a lot of camaraderie that may or may not be obviously false.

A Halloween Ball? That meant a party, and mandatory attendance or not, Sonic was not going to miss the opportunity.

Almost every year for Halloween, Sonic dresses as a vampire. Or something like it. Before it was only grab a black and red cape, put it on, and have done with it.

But this time, he put more effort into it since he had the chance, and ended up dressed like this (http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt61/tianzhu9/S-Thai59c.jpg). He wandered around the ballroom, looking for his friends, excited to see their costumes and wanting to see how they were doing.

What is that outfit you're wearing, Sonic? Ammy has never seen anything like that before. In fact, she hasn't seen a lot of what people are wearing.

But that doesn't really matter to her. It's still Sonic underneath that, even if it's hard to see underneath the mask (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/Kukki-chan/okamiblankslate.png). So, it doesn't take her long to catch up to him and hold out the paintbrush to him, offering him to draw a suitable face for her.

Unlike some, Rena was not forced to be anywhere. She gleefully skipped into the ballroom in her chosen costume, with one little blue hedgehog in tow, looking around brightly at the decorations the droids had put up.

Her costume of choice was a rather interesting one. Most who knew Rena were aware of her fondness for cute things. As such, they probably expected her to come in something adorable and feminine.

Those people were wrong.

Rather than go for something cute, Rena had strangely decided to opt for a a decidedly uncute and very sexy costume (http://07th-expansion.net/Graphic/Pic/Presents/003Km_Rena_DragAssault.JPG). Her demeanor, however, was as sweet as ever.

Sonic followed the young girl around the ballroom as they admired all the decorations and other bustling activity. He had been used to seeing droids working around the park and it was no surprise to see them at the festivities as well, although it was still a strange sight. Something else to write about in his composition for school, he thought.

"Hey, did you wanna grab a snack in the meantime, Rena? And did you have a good time at the park too this week?"

Terra could barely believe she was actually attending such an event, even as she entered. Social engagements such as this were completely alien to her, intimidating and intriguing in equal measure. The only things that managed to tip the scales in the direction of attending -as opposed to being forced- had been a fortunate find in terms of costume and the fact that she would not be alone.

The costume worn was about as dissimilar to her usual attire as could possibly be managed. Whereas Terra normally shied away from attention, the dress (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/evilhippygoddess/haydeeopera.jpg) in question was likely to draw it to her. Upon initial glance, the form-fitting dress seemed white, but was actually of an iridescent material, that shimmered as she moved. The many beads and crystals sewn into the dress also helped with that effect. Her long sleeves reached the hem of her dress, though made of such a light material that they seemed to flow. The same could be said of the rest of the dress; despite its length, the overall ensemble seemed to weigh Terra down very little, if at all.

Terra's pale green hair was largely left loose, though twisted up at two points, held in place with gold crescent moon clips. Her jewelry was simple, square earrings and a pendant. She also went light on makeup, but then her pale skin seemed to compliment the dress very well, glowing rather than appearing washed-out.

She glanced around upon entering, with equal amounts of curiosity and self-consciousness, hoping that she wouldn't screw up too badly during the one night were she actually decided to be social.

For Setzer, on the other hand, social engagements were not only normal but something he actually enjoyed. Not enough to keep him properly land-bound, but well worth the effort of attending all the same. This one even offered the opportunity to see what else people had decided to wear.

His own costume was simple, and much more monochromatic than what he usually wore - long black hooded coat, black gloves, black boots... everything black save for the silver chains attached to the hood. And for the moment, that hood was up, for no real reason other than he felt like it.

"Quite an outfit," he spoke up as he drew near to Terra. "It suits you well."

Raenef remembered last years Halloween, and also remembered that people were forced into costumes too. He feels a little more than awkward in it, and has decided to stand no where near the middle of the room, and pretty close to a wall...fidgeting, and messing with his costume every minute or so.

His hair is also down, which also makes him a little uncomfortable...he's starting to think he should just go home and sleep instead of this...

Luffy was just walking around looking at everyone's awesome costumes while eating food. Granted his costume (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm102/letjes/LuffyAfro.png) included boxing gloves, which made it a little more difficult to eat, but hell if he was gonna let that stop him. He noticed Raenef fumbling with his costume all the time and got curious as to why he needed to all the time. Have a Luffy looking over in your direction.

While perusing the costume racks, Buffy had come across something that was, admittedly, an oldie; however, it was also absolutely acceptable. No one here, after all, had been there to witness the last time she wore this outfit. Whether her motivations rested in her own desire to attend or a desire to complete the instructions on the invitation? That's not entirely evident. Although it wouldn't be hard to suspect that Buffy quite simply preferred to be where action was most likely to make an appearance.

Buffy stepped lightly into the ballroom and had to give her eyes a moment to adjust to the light. There were some people she could already recognize and others whose costumes she would have to look at more closely. But for the moment, Buffy made the bee-line for what every poor sap goes for while they wait for their date to arrive--the snack table.

The Slayer has her Red Riding Hood basket slung casually over one arm and a handful of pretzels to occupy her until the Captain arrives. Please, costumed folk of Luceti, feel free to come and pester, gawk at, or chat to the fairy-tale heroine.

When you get right down to it, there aren't a lot of costumes suited for someone of Lexaeus' rather impressive build. He hasn't let this stop him, however and has made the best of what little he could find that would fit. Gone is the usual coat of the Organization, or any of the shirts he might have been wearing under that.

He is, however, still wearing pants - and ones that look very much like the ones he would have worn under his coat normally.

Though he was accustomed to this sort of social setting, the majority of the attendees tonight were a bit on the young side, making him feel a little out of place.

The only problem Tonks ever had with Halloween was narrowing down exactly what she ought to look like. A woman who could look like anyone certainly had a wide range of costume possibilities.

She's completely delighted to have the opportunity to dress up, and it shows in her enthusiasm and manner.

Sonic noticed the angel walking around alone looking rather worried, and decided to approach her. It was a party, and he didn't want her to feel anxious on an occasion that was supposed to be fun.

Hotaru stays near the door, watching people mill around, feeling awkward. She wasn't used to big groups, and this, this was the entire population of Luceti, or Luceti Land.

Her outfit seems to be modeled off her Senshi uniform, and Tuxedo Mask's own clothes. The skirt's the same, as is the boots, though the top is looser, with a purple bow-tie instead of giant chest bow. She's even got a little white cape-purple on the inside- and domino mask to complete it. Look, it's Saturn Mask~

... A very uncomfortable Saturn Mask. She'd rather be at home guys. Or at least upstairs where she could be alone.

Kratos did not want to come. That much was noticeable by the fact that he stuck by the most shaded wall with his arms crossed over his chest. Still, it was considered a big step that he came at all, and an even bigger one that he came in costume.

Most of the outfits he was presented with were too flashy, too skimpy, too gaudy, too... embarrassing for a man like him. He'd never stoop so low as to wear most of those things. Ramirez never liked this sort of thing. Parties and dances were an unknown variable while growing up, and though Upper City gave him plenty of chances to attend the various social functions, he could never get used to the various unwritten rules and always ended up making some sort of social faux pas.

As such, he tried his best to stay away from the park when he had heard what was going on, but was unwittingly dragged back by the scruff of his neck by a few roaming droids, no doubt struggling the entire time. Not that it mattered, because he was shoved into a costume and forced to attend anyway.

As of now, he has currently pressed himself against a wall, generally looking extremely uncomfortable and tugging on the cuffs of his new costume. The emblem was familiar, at least.

Luna never had a problem with crowds, but ironically, she was much more accepted in the crowd here than at home. Probably because everyone was so weird to begin with that she didn't stand out very much. So when she spotted Ramirez against the wall, she made a beeline over to him to basically pop up right in front of him. So. Much. Irony tonight, and it wasn't just because of the games from the amusement park, or the shows it decided to reveal ("I've come to take something very dear..."). It was as if the universe wanted to play a game and see how long until the lancer snapped.

Xaldin has yet to in his entire non-existence.

Even though the blue, white and gold colors made III look as if ready for a dance, he didn't enjoy wearing it. Infact, there was the slightest frown on his face because of the fact he's wearing it. Fingers flicked the white cravat, as if to push it away.

He was wearing the Beast's ballroom outfit (http://i37.tinypic.com/12347de.jpg). Tsch. Even his hair was changed in a snap -- a low ponytail held by a blue ribbon.

He's not the only one whose hair's been changed. Xigbar's is also falling loose around his shoulder, while his outfit has been exchanged for something a great deal more formal. He doesn't seem to mind it nearly as much as Xaldin minds his though. Odd yes; inconvenient, no.

On a day where people are looking unlike themselves in general, Tia is looking particularly unrecognizable (http://th06.deviantart.net/fs19/300W/i/2007/276/9/2/The_Last_Naiad_by_Onanymous.jpg). Gone are the browns and blacks and reds of her usual outfit, replaced by a much paler outfit. Winter tones or the color of water, and the lower half of her outfit certainly to shimmer and move very much like water.

However, that's not the only change she's made. In keeping with the general appearance of her outfit, her skin has gone ice-pale and there's no trace of the markings generally to be found there either. Nor of her usual mess of hair - what she has now is white and perfectly straight, with fin-like ears poking out.

Her voice will remain unchanged, should anyone wish to speak to her.
