Who: Everyone!
What: A dance. :|
When: October 31st-November 1st
Where: The hotel ballroom in LucetiLand.
Summary: Here is the post describing the event!
Rating: Uhhh anywhere from G-R.

At the door there stands a droid; he's wearing a very snazzy tux, and collecting the invitations. If you don't have an invitation, don't worry!

Just get the hell in that room. Thank you.

The ballroom is enormous, more than enough to accommodate you and your fellow captives. The lighting is overall somewhat dim to set the atmosphere; there are tables bunched together at one end of the room, and a rather large dance floor at the other (complete with lights, strobe and spotlight, and a DJ-droid in a sequined suit and sporting a hangman's noose around his neck). To the side, lengthy tables loaded with all sorts of partyriffic snacks and drinks. And of course, droids milling about in the same sharp suits the one at the door was clad in, all with little spooky variations to add festivity -an arrow through the head, Frankenstein bolts through the neck, vampire fangs, etc- as they seem to be setting chairs, cleaning up used plates and cups, and generally stopping anyone from sneaking out the windows or doors.

It can be noted, however, that the droids are terribly outnumbered.

You can join in the festivities; take a seat and wait for a friend or a date, have a snack or try to escape. Just make sure to make the night memorable.

Because there is something lurking outside...and if you leave to investigate, you might not come back.

"It was definitely worth the effort. I wish I could do that." Rydia smiled wistfully, then straightened. "I'm supposed to be Shiva, the Ice Queen. She's an Eidolon, a summonable being from back home. Though this design is from that of a friends' world. They have her there also, somehow."

"Well, it's very pretty!" Tonks smiled a little. "I figured I should do something with the wings, since I've got them already, you know. But I'm really not a fairy sort of person. So I just...improvised."

Rydia nodded approvingly. "All the better. It's fun to walk around and see what people have done on short notice. Or maybe they expected some kind of Halloween bash, anyway? Luna did say it was a tradition for many people...."

"You know Luna?" Tonks smiled, thinking of the strange, pale-eyed girl who was one of Harry's friends.

"She's a bit odd, but very nice. She's right that in our world, Halloween is a pretty big deal for most of us. I hadn't thought much about it, but even back home I usually just do something with what's immediately available to me, if I dress up at all."

Rydia smiled and nodded at mention of Luna. "My world doesn't have the holiday, but it seems like something that would be fun to do every so often. It's silly that the droids are forcing it on people; I'd think enough might have wanted to do it anyway, for a change of pace."

Tonks nodded her agreement. "I would've been here for a Halloween party, mandatory or not. It just makes it feel weird to know that we're not actually here of our own free will."

Rydia made a face briefly, then shrugged. "That does put a damper on things, I'll admit. If it was a more obnoxious requirement, I might try to fight it, but this 'vacation' has been pretty good. I'll actually miss it when it's over."

"Yeah." Tonks smiled a little. "It's been nice. Sort of a little honeymoon, almost. Remus and I didn't get one at home."
