Who: Everyone!
What: A dance. :|
When: October 31st-November 1st
Where: The hotel ballroom in LucetiLand.
Summary: Here is the post describing the event!
Rating: Uhhh anywhere from G-R.

At the door there stands a droid; he's wearing a very snazzy tux, and collecting the invitations. If you don't have an invitation, don't worry!

Just get the hell in that room. Thank you.

The ballroom is enormous, more than enough to accommodate you and your fellow captives. The lighting is overall somewhat dim to set the atmosphere; there are tables bunched together at one end of the room, and a rather large dance floor at the other (complete with lights, strobe and spotlight, and a DJ-droid in a sequined suit and sporting a hangman's noose around his neck). To the side, lengthy tables loaded with all sorts of partyriffic snacks and drinks. And of course, droids milling about in the same sharp suits the one at the door was clad in, all with little spooky variations to add festivity -an arrow through the head, Frankenstein bolts through the neck, vampire fangs, etc- as they seem to be setting chairs, cleaning up used plates and cups, and generally stopping anyone from sneaking out the windows or doors.

It can be noted, however, that the droids are terribly outnumbered.

You can join in the festivities; take a seat and wait for a friend or a date, have a snack or try to escape. Just make sure to make the night memorable.

Because there is something lurking outside...and if you leave to investigate, you might not come back.

Xaldin lets out a sigh, nodding. Pesky little mechanical humans -- helpful, but not quite with the choices they give out.

"What would you have worn instead?" he asked, although III already guessed an answer of what Xigbar would have worn. The key to that, though: The Freeshooter would still have his hair tied, no matter what.

Was he correct?

"Something interesting," Xigbar answers with a shrug. "Past that I hadn't really figured it out."

While he's fine with costumes, he hadn't really gotten around to figuring anything particular to wear. What Braig wore was right out, and nothing else had thus far piqued his interest. Hence the droids taking matters into their own mechanical hands.

"Nothing that would result into turning your nose red with paint, I imagine." Why yes, he so went there. Although, he had a feeling Xigbar would have chosen something that literally screamed to the world, in his one-eyed point of view. Something interesting, indeed.

A droid passed by with a tray of drinks. Xaldin grabs the wine glass -- bubbly champagne. He needed that. III takes a sip of it.

"Naaaaah. Too boring." That and he had his pride. He made a fool of himself on a regular basis, yes. But in his own expert opinion that wasn't quite enough to stoop to the level that Xaldin had suggested.

"Although I think I got off a bit easier than you did."

[identity profile] aerojahack.livejournal.com 2009-11-02 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
He'd best not. It would disappoint III if he saw Xigbar in a clown's outfit, even though he can be even more amusing than a man with a large, red nose.

"At the very least, I'd have to say it's comfortable."

[identity profile] gravity-splode.livejournal.com 2009-11-02 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Luckily, Xaldin never will. The effort it would take anyone to actually get him into something so thoroughly demeaning would be more than even Xemnas could muster. Some things were never meant to be.

"Well, he wore it just fine."

[identity profile] aerojahack.livejournal.com 2009-11-02 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
"It was probably already comfortable from the start."

What do you mean he had a 'Oh no you didn't' moment -- he just gave out a slight grin, raising his glass to get another sip from the drink. Would you like some, II?

[identity profile] gravity-splode.livejournal.com 2009-11-02 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
Sure, why not. Just as long as it isn't from the same glass as Xaldin's been drinking from. There are some things that Xigbar's just not ready for.

"Oh, probably."

[identity profile] aerojahack.livejournal.com 2009-11-02 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course not. Here came a droid with a few glasses, even -- Xaldin puts his empty one on the silver tray.

"Have you decided to string along anyone with you tonight?" Translation: 'Who's your date?'

[identity profile] gravity-splode.livejournal.com 2009-11-02 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
How convenient, and Xigbar will be taking one of those glasses for himself. It's not a party with something to drink.

"Didn't get around to it. You?"

[identity profile] aerojahack.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
It's fun to use and abuse the freedom of writing and assumptions. He eyes the droid for the moment -- they look easy to break, but this is Luceti. Maybe someday.

"No one of interest to drag along -- no one interesting enough."

[identity profile] gravity-splode.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
"What a shame."

The tone of his voice didn't match his words at all, and he fully expected Xaldin to pick up on that. As for the droid... well, if Xigbar's around for that 'someday', he might just be inclined to help.

[identity profile] aerojahack.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
That he did. He chuckled at that -- infact, he joins in.

"A shame no one's caught your lone eye."

[identity profile] gravity-splode.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm a hard man to please," Xigbar answered with a shrug. This can - and probably should - be read as him figuring that he'll either find a pseudo-date over the course of the evening or ignore any attempts to pair him.

[identity profile] aerojahack.livejournal.com 2009-11-04 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
But of course Xaldin read that. A quote to explain it all -- 'He blames all the years of familiarity'.

"Men such as yourself are always hard to please."

[identity profile] gravity-splode.livejournal.com 2009-11-04 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Wouldn't have it any other way."

It means he can getting more eavesdroppingmingling without having to worry about what his 'date' might think.
