Who: Sora and Kairi (and Axel if he wants to be a creeper)
What: Training!
When: After this petters out.
Where: Barracks
Summary: They get out of the house and go train... it's pretty simple, really
Rating: Sheesh, these two (or three)? PG at most.
Sora had rolled off his bed and grabbed his heavy jacket, gloves, and hat after shutting his journal, tossing it aside and heading out the door pretty quickly. He wasn't angry at Axel - maybe kind of annoyed a little, but not angry; Axel was just pretty good at being irritating. But he really did calm down quickly, and the really cold trip out to the barracks helped that along a lot, even when taken at a full sprint.
He wasn't sure where Kairi'd been when that whole conversation started up, so as he walked in the door and pulled off his hat, he was looking around for her. "Kairi? You here?"

"Oh good. And yeah, I know what you mean. Kind of makes you miss the islands, doesn't it?" It was like she had read his mind; either that, or she just really missed the warm weather too. Even though she had been in Luceti for almost a year according to the calendar, the snow was still rather strange to her just as it had been last winter.

"The gummi ship? You can't tell me that thing had a heater in it."

"...Yeah, I think it helps. I mean, that's a lot more together than it was last time we used the fake swords. It's not something you should count on, but anything helps, right?"
no subject
"Yeah, anything helps," she echoed, slowing down her swings. "What else do you think I should try with it?"

So Sora went over and stood in front of her, sword held in his usual ready position. "Okay, attack me, about at my ribs."
no subject
"Sora, are you sure this is a good idea?" She looked back and forth between the practice sword and the Keyblade. How exactly was he supposed to block with that?
no subject
He'd be fine! He was a lot faster than her, after all.

Heaving the Keyblade up a little higher, she put herself into an attacking stance before swinging the weapon at Sora's, hoping he was really ready to block it.
no subject
Yes, he'd gone around beating a lot of stuff in the head. Don't think about it too much, it'll just be weird.
Sora waited, waited - watching her torso, which was weirder and weirder the longer he did it - and was easily ready to move when she swung. His sword came up to block it, one arm protecting his face and shoulders, the other guarding his ribs with the sword in front. The Keyblade clanged into the sword and he called out, "Great! Hold it!"
He waited a moment just to make sure the Keyblade wasn't suddenly going to swing away, then he nodded to the sword with his head. "See how it's in front of me? You can't get to my body like that, so I'm pretty protected right now, and I can shove it away and attack you instead if I wanna."

As she held the Keyblade up against Sora's sword, she visibly relaxed upon realizing she hadn't hit him in the chest. She waited for further instructions as Sora explained what was going on.
"Gotcha," she replied, taking note of the sword's position. She then suddenly grinned. "But you wouldn't attack me, would you?"
no subject
And Sora grinned at that question, pulling his sword away from the Keyblade. "I could, but I'd always win, and where's the fun in that?" He was definitely teasing, and he propped the sword on one shoulder in a mode of complete self-confidence. "Gotta let you have a victory sometime, after all."
no subject
She lowered the Keyblade back down, merely smirking at that response. "You think so huh?" She stepped closer to him, just staring him down with that same small smirk. "How nice of you to allow me victories, oh great teacher Sora."
no subject
They still teased each other - it was awesome. And a whooole lot of fun.
no subject
"What's this about not having the guts?" She leaned against the Keyblade, poking him square in the chest. "I think you're the one who doesn't have the guts to fight me."
no subject
Sora was still grinning as he raised a hand to defend himself from her poking with his free hand, blocking hers as it came in for more. "Hey, I've got plenty of guts. I'd fight you, no problem!" And the grin widened. "I'd just win."
no subject
"Oh, I don't know about that," she teased him further, leaning in even closer. "I've been getting some lessons from a pretty good teacher." She didn't move again, just watching for his reaction. "I could easily kick your butt. Then what?"
no subject
His reaction? He didn't move, still grinning. "Yeah? That teacher tell you anything about when not to fight?" She was really close, and he was actually pretty close to laughing. They weren't typical, that was sure - they were a lot more fun that way.

But it was too much fun.
