Who: Sora and Kairi (and Axel if he wants to be a creeper)
What: Training!
When: After this petters out.
Where: Barracks
Summary: They get out of the house and go train... it's pretty simple, really
Rating: Sheesh, these two (or three)? PG at most.
Sora had rolled off his bed and grabbed his heavy jacket, gloves, and hat after shutting his journal, tossing it aside and heading out the door pretty quickly. He wasn't angry at Axel - maybe kind of annoyed a little, but not angry; Axel was just pretty good at being irritating. But he really did calm down quickly, and the really cold trip out to the barracks helped that along a lot, even when taken at a full sprint.
He wasn't sure where Kairi'd been when that whole conversation started up, so as he walked in the door and pulled off his hat, he was looking around for her. "Kairi? You here?"

Heaving the Keyblade up a little higher, she put herself into an attacking stance before swinging the weapon at Sora's, hoping he was really ready to block it.
no subject
Yes, he'd gone around beating a lot of stuff in the head. Don't think about it too much, it'll just be weird.
Sora waited, waited - watching her torso, which was weirder and weirder the longer he did it - and was easily ready to move when she swung. His sword came up to block it, one arm protecting his face and shoulders, the other guarding his ribs with the sword in front. The Keyblade clanged into the sword and he called out, "Great! Hold it!"
He waited a moment just to make sure the Keyblade wasn't suddenly going to swing away, then he nodded to the sword with his head. "See how it's in front of me? You can't get to my body like that, so I'm pretty protected right now, and I can shove it away and attack you instead if I wanna."

As she held the Keyblade up against Sora's sword, she visibly relaxed upon realizing she hadn't hit him in the chest. She waited for further instructions as Sora explained what was going on.
"Gotcha," she replied, taking note of the sword's position. She then suddenly grinned. "But you wouldn't attack me, would you?"
no subject
And Sora grinned at that question, pulling his sword away from the Keyblade. "I could, but I'd always win, and where's the fun in that?" He was definitely teasing, and he propped the sword on one shoulder in a mode of complete self-confidence. "Gotta let you have a victory sometime, after all."
no subject
She lowered the Keyblade back down, merely smirking at that response. "You think so huh?" She stepped closer to him, just staring him down with that same small smirk. "How nice of you to allow me victories, oh great teacher Sora."
no subject
They still teased each other - it was awesome. And a whooole lot of fun.
no subject
"What's this about not having the guts?" She leaned against the Keyblade, poking him square in the chest. "I think you're the one who doesn't have the guts to fight me."
no subject
Sora was still grinning as he raised a hand to defend himself from her poking with his free hand, blocking hers as it came in for more. "Hey, I've got plenty of guts. I'd fight you, no problem!" And the grin widened. "I'd just win."
no subject
"Oh, I don't know about that," she teased him further, leaning in even closer. "I've been getting some lessons from a pretty good teacher." She didn't move again, just watching for his reaction. "I could easily kick your butt. Then what?"
no subject
His reaction? He didn't move, still grinning. "Yeah? That teacher tell you anything about when not to fight?" She was really close, and he was actually pretty close to laughing. They weren't typical, that was sure - they were a lot more fun that way.

But it was too much fun.

He wasn't moving... he wasn't gonna move... That was just her imagination that he was leaning in a little, still grinning and still starting to hold back a laugh.
no subject
She lifted an eyebrow in an almost-challenging manner, unable to contain the slight laugh that slipped past her lips. But still she didn't move, not quite anyway. Everything had to be a competition.
no subject
...Yeah, he was going to laugh. Sora's grin was widening, it was getting harder to keep it in, and- okay, yeah, it was impossible.
So in order to stop from laughing right in her face, and because he wanted to do it anyway, Sora finally leaned in to kiss her for real.
no subject
It wasn't as if kissing Sora were anything new; really, it was more the fact they never had the chance to without feeling awkward knowing Riku could walk in on them like that one time. At least, that's what her reasoning was. Right now it didn't matter though.
no subject
His arm holding up the sword came down at last to dangle by his side, but his left hand reached for hers to lock their fingers together. It still wasn't the Best Kiss Ever, bu it was theirs, and at least it wasn't nearly as awkward as their first kiss.
no subject
It was nice, really, just to be able to enjoy the display of affection without having to worry if somebody would walk in or whose feelings might get hurt. That was the last thing she wanted, but she did want some time with Sora to herself. That wasn't much to ask, right? She didn't think so.
no subject
But then something intruded on Sora's memory and his eyes opened, wide, before he pulled back. "Just a sec, okay?" The sword was dropped on the floor as he moved quickly to his jacket, crouching down to pull something out of a pocket. This was probably the best chance they'd have, and she'd definitely waited long enough.
A few moments later and Sora turned around again, walking back to her and holding out a small light blue box. "I know it's kind of later than we thought it'd be, but... Merry Christmas, Kairi."
no subject
When he returned with the box however, her eyes lit up in recognition. She remembered Sora had wanted to give her his present in private, but she couldn't really think of what would cause that. Taking the box, she carefully opened it...
...and just stared at the necklace that was coiled inside the box. She allowed herself a few minutes to really examine the link chain, the intricate silver pieces of the pendant that guarded a light blue stone. She wasn't sure what was more surprising to her, that it was a beautiful necklace, or that it came from Sora himself.
"...I love it," she said flat-out, looking up from the box finally. "Sora it's gorgeous."
no subject
"Go on, try it on," Sora urged when she kept staring. He grinned at her. "Don't you wanna know what it looks like?"
no subject
"Here," she said, first handing him the Keyblade she was still leaning on. Once she passed it off, she took it out of the box and swept her hair out of the way, clasping the necklace onto her neck.
"What do you think?"
no subject
Sora barely even took the Keyblade before he let it go and dissolve back into nothingness, slowly smiling at her as she put it on. "I think you're still a lot prettier."
no subject
She suddenly looked at him in surprise with the compliment, blinking a bit. "...was that supposed to be a line?" She tried to joke, but the flustered expression was a dead-giveaway that she really hadn't been expecting that.
