Summary: Mass-interaction post in the city for the poor souls who've been drafted.
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R.

[With permission from the mods, I've gone ahead and put up this... post... for everyone who was interested in actually threading in the city. You can either prose or write in first-person; totally up to you. Actually threading a fight with the Third Party is also optional. Just keep in mind that if you do you'll have to be the one controlling the enemy's actions and whatnot. If you're not sure how to go about that, just remember the information they've provided us with. They're not very tough, but if you still need an idea with how they fight, just read up on this a bit. Please do remember that the enemies we're fighting are weaker compared to the ones previously fought, though. |D;

[More like it is Kain who dares resemble the demon since Yuber has had this armor for centuries now.

And that old trick again? Though he definitely did note the dragoon was able to accomplish a far greater leap than before. Still, if anything, that just made it easier to dodge because the demon had more time to figure out where the dragoon would land and also to use magic to bring him down even faster.

Kain had definitely better watch out for the numerous bolts of lightning headed in his direction now, and they would be far harder than normal to dodge because the demon isn't needing to do as much to aim his magic now. It is now very much going right towards the demon's target and those bolts look much brighter and more deadly than before.]

[Kain would accuse the demon of being like him anyway, because... that's what Kain does.

[And Kain is definitely a lot faster than usual now, with the power cap off, but he's unable to dodge the incoming lightning attack. He takes a leap backward to try and move aside anyway but ends up with a whole lot of zapping right at him. Like a Thundaga to the face. It's definitely going to slow him from this point on.]

[Grimacing and then glaring, Kain rushes forth to attempt stabbing at the demon in retaliation. He thrusts the spear wildly toward him.]

[Though it likely isn't visible with that helmet, the demon is smirking because killing the dragoon was going to be so easy if he kept with these predictable attacks.

Truly, just a simple step out of the way and he was out of the way of the lance. Then Yuber will turn towards Kain to attack with his two swords.]

[Kain's still determined that he will be killing the demon, it's just... going to be an insane challenge. But they managed to take down Zemus, didn't they? ...Of course that battle was fought with others along as well, but Kain pushes that to the back of his mind. He can do this.]

[Silently cursing Yuber, Kain struggles to fend off the swords. He clashes the spear against one of them, but the other sword deals a blow to an arm. He counters, jabbing the spear forth again.]

[And Yuber is just as determined to kill Kain. Except he's killed plenty, alone. He doesn't work well in groups, not even with the evil trio of Windy, Neclord and himself (though they did indeed make an evil trio).]]

[But to Yuber this was just a pathetic attempt. Of course, spears did have a disadvantage of being slow since they are larger weapons,. Yes, they can do a lot of damage, but they have to hit first, and considering Yuber's sheer skill at dodging things, that just isn't happening now. He's out of the way quickly and hitting Kain with both swords again.]

[Kain's not going to make this TOO easy of course, and he still has it in his ~~delusional~~ mind that he can still emerge victorious from this.]

[He makes a hateful expression and then again tries- only partially successfully- to block the swords. Kain's hit again, this one to the side. He's going more on the defensive for a bit now. But he's also gotten a bunch of battle items while in his room, too, and he takes out a Speed Drink to get a Haste effect on himself.]

[Another jump! He comes zooming in faster than the last one... though not nearly as accurately due to injuries still throwing him off.]

[Yuber is definitely smirking when his swords actually hit. The smell of blood is always so wonderful. Now at least he is slightly entertained by this.

And he's going to enjoy taunting Kain a bit by making it look like his newfound speed helped and won't get out of the way of that last jump until nearly the last second with a quick and convenient teleport.

And will reappear behind the dragoon to slash with his swords again.]

[Of course Kain gets overconfident at that point, lunging forcefully toward his target when- NOOOO! He stumbles way off balance as he stabs at empty air.]

[...Then screams silently as a sword deals him a really nasty blow to the back. He turns to face his enemy but it's clear this latest wound is giving him serious trouble. It's all he can to to stay on his feet. For the first time a sense of doubt creeps in.]

[But this is his Ultimate Challenge, damn it. His Mount Ordeals away from home. He can't afford to give up now...]

[Kain barely has time to get a potion out and take it, though it does little good, restoring just enough strength to keep upright. He then springs into a last effort, desperation-born style of fighting, repeatedly slicing and slashing the spear in Yuber's direction. He knows he has to try to end this quickly or else.]

[Yuber is caught slightly off guard by such a powerful attack coming so quickly, but he quickly recovers and teleports a distance away. Still, that did hurt and now he is wanting to just get this over with rather than playing around with this annoyance further.

He gives Kain enough time to finish off whatever that attack was so he doesn't risk being hit by it again. As it was, the demon was bleeding quite readily and would need to use one of the rune scrolls he had obtained via that strange button soon. But he's going to finish this before taking the time to heal.

He just hopes that the dragoon will be scared when he sees the copies appear from nowhere as he uses his Eight Devil Rune (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dtzkzBpMRk#t=3m13s). Hopefully unlike with uses within the barrier, this will hit and kill like it is supposed to.]

[It cost Kain a great deal of energy to go at the demon with so much ferocity, putting everything he has into attacking him. So it's no surprise that he's barely recovered after that. He grabs another potion to regain some strength...]

[Unfortunately that's when the copies emerge. Kain has seen this attack before and came away from it pretty beaten up, and that was back where their powers were reduced.]

[But he's Kain and a stubborn-ass, so he doesn't give up fighting even when the odds are overwhelmingly against him. All he can do is rely on instincts to try holding off some damage at this point. He does what he can to try blocking or evading any part of the attack but the demons are just a total blur of motion. It's insane what a difference it makes taking off the power cap.]

[When it's over, Kain is bleeding from various wounds, one wing ripped off completely and the other badly broken. He takes a single step forward and collapses. Clearly in agony, he struggles just to breathe.]

[Well, that definitely did a lot more this time and Yuber was definitely pleased.

Still, he isn't one to let his victims suffer for too long, so he is going to do the decent thing and just attempt to end Kain's agony now very quickly.

And he will do so by trying to rip off the second wing since that is supposed to lead to immediate death.]

[In those brief moments Kain tries to reach for his spear (because he is horribly single-minded), but he can't manage to move in any useful way. So he settles for glaring. GLARE Yuber, glareglareglare.]

[He suddenly wonders if he remembered to filter that message to Rydia, and thinks he should check right away after this---]

[Except not so much. It doesn't take a lot for that remaining wing to rip off, since it's already well torn up. Everything is over in an instant. Kain's struggles cease very suddenly, along with his breath.]
