Flower Viewing

Who: ...Lol man anyone ever. Everyone?
What: A very "special" Hanami as noted here
When: Most of Saturday afternoon going into Saturday evening
Where: Ammy's Hill
Summary: The haphazardly planned long-waited Hanami actually happens.
Rating: Bro

Today is the day of the Hanami - the flower viewing - as planned by the SOS-Brigade, and it couldn't be a better day! There might be a cold snap today, but sometime during the early afternoon (because Haruki willed it to be so and I got mod permission) the sun gets out more and the temperature shoots up into a nice spring day. This nice spring day will persist until the sun sets, at which point it will go back to being the cold day it was meant to be today.

So while the weather is nice, you might as well enjoy yourselves! As promised, the set up here is fantastic. On the top of the hill is one giant Sakura tree and four smaller ones along the side leading to the road serving as something akin to a natural (double) torii (you know those old Shinto gate things) leading up to the main tree. All five trees are in bloom, but while the four smaller ones have the pink flowers everyone is familiar with, the top one (the big one on the center of the hill) has darker pink, almost red ones for some reason.

One reason why it might be red is that (buried in the ground) at the base of the biggest tree is a (fake Made in China) human skeleton. It's buried pretty well and thus might not come out at all, but it's there. It is.

Anyway, aside from the flowers, there are other things too! There are three big mats with a large collection of chips, sake, and water in various bowls with cups and such for people. And then towards the center (manned by Haruki and one or three other Brigade members [feel free to assume you character is one of them if you want; it'll probably be in shifts]) is a big collection of burners, pots, pans, and everything you would need to produce dumplings on the spot. And they are making dumplings (usually pork of course) for people there.

As for decorations aside from the flowers themselves... there are various painted things and paintings which some people might recognize as Miyabi's work. There are also more than likely paper lanterns up which'll help once the shadows grow deeper in the early evening. I'm being vague in case Miyabi's player wants to post something specific.

Oh and off on the opposite side of the hill from the four flank-trees (for the kids) is a series of three somewhat normal sized trampolines (for the kids) to make up for the lack of Haruki's promised jump land or giant trampoline.

So that's the setting: ENJOY.

[Naturally, this is action script/commentspam/whatever you kids are calling it these days and naturally like any big meeting post thing is set for full threadjack mode]

[He'd be happy to see Labrador work, in that case, since it pretty much is magic.]

I bet he would! The bishop is a very kind person. He's always happy to share his flowers.

So--[he tips lightly on his feet, playing it cool]--what's a bishop?
fyulong: (man teito your church is pimpin)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-28 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Huh? [The thought of them not existing in other worlds hadn't really occurred to him.] Oh, ah- they're a high rank of priest on the church on my world!

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-03-28 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
[Aha! Religion, like the old ones. Maybe there was sorcery involved.] And he's okay with you being so...open about that?

[The only kind of church he knew of was the outlawed faith in magic.]
fyulong: (...'da fuck?)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-28 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
[And hearing that baffles Mikage more than ever.] Why wouldn't he be?

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-03-28 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[Quickly realizing that perhaps this bishop doesn't live in quite an oppressive world as he does, Merlin back-pedals.] Oh, no reason. N-nothing at all.
fyulong: (I don't want this.)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-28 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh dear, now he looks upset.] Is something wrong...?

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-03-29 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
No--just...[Merlin sighs.] I'm not used to this place.
fyulong: (porn you say!?)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-29 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, are you new? [Whether he is or not, Mikage belatedly sticks out a hand to shake.] I'm Mikage, by the way!

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-03-29 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
[Consider that hand shaken.] Merlin. I'm...Merlin. [He has developed a habit of giving away his name with trepidation.] And I've been here for a little while, but I guess it's taking longer to adjust than I first expected.
fyulong: ('a' for effort buddy.)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-29 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't been here that long myself, though it feels like it's been ages. Take your time! I don't think anybody expects you to be used to it right away.

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 12:15 pm (UTC)(link)
It wasn't so bad, until the--[uh what had people called it?]--electricity showed up.
fyulong: (buh?)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-30 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't like the electricity? [ffff BUT IT'S SO COOL, how could anyone not like it.]

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't quite figured out how it works, yet. But I look forward to learning.
fyulong: (and that's what it's all about.)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-30 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
You too, huh? Technology's really different from this where I'm from.

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Y-yeah, definitely. I'm still not convinced that this electricity isn't a form of magic.
fyulong: (ahaha you. you're so cute.)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-31 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
There's nothing wrong with calling it magic. It probably is, in a lot of ways!

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-03-31 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sure Arthur will call it magic, when he returns. He probably won't allow it in the house.

[He sounds disappointed, at that.]
fyulong: (eh what?)

[personal profile] fyulong 2010-03-31 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Why wouldn't anyone want it? Magic is great! And really useful, too!

[Mikage's a little disappointed, too. Who would dislike something so cool? :c]
