Flower Viewing

Who: ...Lol man anyone ever. Everyone?
What: A very "special" Hanami as noted here
When: Most of Saturday afternoon going into Saturday evening
Where: Ammy's Hill
Summary: The haphazardly planned long-waited Hanami actually happens.
Rating: Bro

Today is the day of the Hanami - the flower viewing - as planned by the SOS-Brigade, and it couldn't be a better day! There might be a cold snap today, but sometime during the early afternoon (because Haruki willed it to be so and I got mod permission) the sun gets out more and the temperature shoots up into a nice spring day. This nice spring day will persist until the sun sets, at which point it will go back to being the cold day it was meant to be today.

So while the weather is nice, you might as well enjoy yourselves! As promised, the set up here is fantastic. On the top of the hill is one giant Sakura tree and four smaller ones along the side leading to the road serving as something akin to a natural (double) torii (you know those old Shinto gate things) leading up to the main tree. All five trees are in bloom, but while the four smaller ones have the pink flowers everyone is familiar with, the top one (the big one on the center of the hill) has darker pink, almost red ones for some reason.

One reason why it might be red is that (buried in the ground) at the base of the biggest tree is a (fake Made in China) human skeleton. It's buried pretty well and thus might not come out at all, but it's there. It is.

Anyway, aside from the flowers, there are other things too! There are three big mats with a large collection of chips, sake, and water in various bowls with cups and such for people. And then towards the center (manned by Haruki and one or three other Brigade members [feel free to assume you character is one of them if you want; it'll probably be in shifts]) is a big collection of burners, pots, pans, and everything you would need to produce dumplings on the spot. And they are making dumplings (usually pork of course) for people there.

As for decorations aside from the flowers themselves... there are various painted things and paintings which some people might recognize as Miyabi's work. There are also more than likely paper lanterns up which'll help once the shadows grow deeper in the early evening. I'm being vague in case Miyabi's player wants to post something specific.

Oh and off on the opposite side of the hill from the four flank-trees (for the kids) is a series of three somewhat normal sized trampolines (for the kids) to make up for the lack of Haruki's promised jump land or giant trampoline.

So that's the setting: ENJOY.

[Naturally, this is action script/commentspam/whatever you kids are calling it these days and naturally like any big meeting post thing is set for full threadjack mode]

[All the more reason for ninjasuki to show up there, seeing that face and presumably blue or green Shinen. With a wave and a-] Hey.

Oh, hello. [She waves back. She's thinking about her friend Vincent and the time they watched the cherry blossoms together.]

[Nice-] It's a pretty impressive sight here, isn't it?

[identity profile] waxvampire.livejournal.com 2010-03-29 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it is. Were these trees always here? I didn't notice them before...

[identity profile] antisilent.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 08:26 am (UTC)(link)
I think I've seen the big one before [The one at the top of the hill; the one with red pedals] But this this hill is a little out of the way of the main village.

That one? Sure is a strange color... [It wasn't another haunted one, was it?]

[identity profile] antisilent.livejournal.com 2010-04-01 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
It's certainly different. [He's wondering about it too, actually]

[identity profile] waxvampire.livejournal.com 2010-04-01 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[She chuckles.] But none of these trees are normal, I guess.

I heard a rumor these were grown by a goddess. [Or well more like Haruki's post claimed that, but he can improvise man]

[identity profile] waxvampire.livejournal.com 2010-04-01 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[She shudders. Goddesses are holy beings...] A goddess, huh?

[identity profile] antisilent.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
[Curious. That wasn't the color he was expecting. This felt almost like fear.]

That's what I heard, anyway.

[identity profile] waxvampire.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Gods and goddesses. I wonder if they're anything like I always imagined...

[Which would be arrogant, vengeful, and with a hatred of creatures like her.]

[identity profile] antisilent.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
[Curious, that sort of red Shinen isn't what you except out of people's perceptions of deities. To that though, he shrugs and then-] I believe few things end up being exactly what we except.

[identity profile] waxvampire.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
[She assumes that Atsuki has no idea that she's really a man, so hearing a comment like that makes her laugh.]

That's true enough.

[identity profile] antisilent.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Well he didn't before now, but seeing that bright little purple Shinen, well, he can't help but activate Σ on it, right?]

[identity profile] antisilent.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
[...Details on the man versus woman thing would be cool though. Either way he doesn't comment on it and instead-]

It makes things more interesting, even if some things can end up strange as a result.

[She was originally a male vampire named Guilt-na-Zan. The exorcist Kyoeisai Yotobari trapped her and Vincent in crosses. Interestingly, due to an altered memory she believes she was trapped after a long battle, but actually the two made a deal. 100 years later, Kyoeisai's descendant Kyoji Yotobari used the cross to place Guilt-na-Zan's soul into a female wax doll to force the vampire lord to be his servant.]

Yes, it certainly makes things interesting.

[identity profile] antisilent.livejournal.com 2010-04-04 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
[...Well. That's interesting. He only gets a part of that but it's still certain putting a new light on all this]

And, personally, I think that things tend to work out in the end.

[identity profile] waxvampire.livejournal.com 2010-04-04 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
[Now that he mentions it, things weren't so bad back at Kyoji's house...]

I think you might be right about that.

[identity profile] antisilent.livejournal.com 2010-04-04 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Glad to hear things have worked out for you. [After all, there was a brief flash of purple Shinen]

[identity profile] waxvampire.livejournal.com 2010-04-04 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
In a way. I'm trapped here. But even Luceti can be pretty nice.
