Flower Viewing

Who: ...Lol man anyone ever. Everyone?
What: A very "special" Hanami as noted here
When: Most of Saturday afternoon going into Saturday evening
Where: Ammy's Hill
Summary: The haphazardly planned long-waited Hanami actually happens.
Rating: Bro

Today is the day of the Hanami - the flower viewing - as planned by the SOS-Brigade, and it couldn't be a better day! There might be a cold snap today, but sometime during the early afternoon (because Haruki willed it to be so and I got mod permission) the sun gets out more and the temperature shoots up into a nice spring day. This nice spring day will persist until the sun sets, at which point it will go back to being the cold day it was meant to be today.

So while the weather is nice, you might as well enjoy yourselves! As promised, the set up here is fantastic. On the top of the hill is one giant Sakura tree and four smaller ones along the side leading to the road serving as something akin to a natural (double) torii (you know those old Shinto gate things) leading up to the main tree. All five trees are in bloom, but while the four smaller ones have the pink flowers everyone is familiar with, the top one (the big one on the center of the hill) has darker pink, almost red ones for some reason.

One reason why it might be red is that (buried in the ground) at the base of the biggest tree is a (fake Made in China) human skeleton. It's buried pretty well and thus might not come out at all, but it's there. It is.

Anyway, aside from the flowers, there are other things too! There are three big mats with a large collection of chips, sake, and water in various bowls with cups and such for people. And then towards the center (manned by Haruki and one or three other Brigade members [feel free to assume you character is one of them if you want; it'll probably be in shifts]) is a big collection of burners, pots, pans, and everything you would need to produce dumplings on the spot. And they are making dumplings (usually pork of course) for people there.

As for decorations aside from the flowers themselves... there are various painted things and paintings which some people might recognize as Miyabi's work. There are also more than likely paper lanterns up which'll help once the shadows grow deeper in the early evening. I'm being vague in case Miyabi's player wants to post something specific.

Oh and off on the opposite side of the hill from the four flank-trees (for the kids) is a series of three somewhat normal sized trampolines (for the kids) to make up for the lack of Haruki's promised jump land or giant trampoline.

So that's the setting: ENJOY.

[Naturally, this is action script/commentspam/whatever you kids are calling it these days and naturally like any big meeting post thing is set for full threadjack mode]

Well, I came alone anyway.

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
Was I supposed to bring a date?!

I just took you for the social type.

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Oh~ [She laughs a little, relieved] Well, I figured I could talk to people here. Maybe I should have invited Adell or No-ah or Terra though...
psychebubble: (and tails you lose)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-03-30 08:39 am (UTC)(link)
Frankly, it's hard to believe you can ever go anywhere alone.

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-04-01 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, back home Alfred followed me everywhere but here I've been trying to go out alone more!
psychebubble: (crawling in my hoodiiieeeee.)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-01 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
... You have a butler named Alfred?

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-04-01 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmhm. He's amazing... as a child he once saved me from a bear by defeating it with his bare hands!
psychebubble: (i said what what in the butt.)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-01 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Weird, you don't look like Batman.

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Should I look like him...? [Wait, who's Batman? She thinks she knows that, maybe]
psychebubble: (soubi is a rapist)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-02 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
... In retrospect, I think you're better this way after all.
psychebubble: (what am i supposed to do with this chikn)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-03 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Definitely not superhero-make.

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, of course not. Teppei or Silvie would be much better at that.
psychebubble: (no the drapes match go away)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-03 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Right...

... Has anyone ever told you that you're boring?

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
Um, I don't think so. [She considers that for a bit, tapping a finger on her lips] No, not boring....
psychebubble: (i said what what in the butt.)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-03 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I guess not to look at.

Airhead, then.

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 08:58 am (UTC)(link)
I've heard that before. [She nods at that, not to her face, but she's heard it once or twice before. She smiles all the same] I guess that means I'm like a cloud then!
psychebubble: (appendix... transplant?)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-03 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
Do you have any emotions other than your half-dazed happiness?

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 09:05 am (UTC)(link)
[She closes her eyes briefly, and then calmly-] Everyone can feel lots of things, so of course I so. I just think it's more fun for everyone to try to be happy.
psychebubble: (i said what what in the butt.)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-03 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but there's a difference between 'happy' and 'lobotomy patient'.

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 09:16 am (UTC)(link)
["What is a lobotomy" is written all over this face when she opens her eyes]
psychebubble: (and tails you lose)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-04-03 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
... A lobotomy is getting a chunk of your brain removed.
