SPECIAL NOTE!! - Since this didn't come up before (but should have, my bad), there are actually a minimum of 400 Third Party soldiers in each area as opposed to in total. This means there are 1200 of them over all.

[Not feeling particularly social, Caesar heads straight to his room when he arrives. \o/ Of course, he probably won't be too picky if anyone wants to enter his room, whether to talk strategy, ask for advice ~~but why would you even~~, or just bug the guy telling everyone what to do.

But you know. Silverbergs.]

[Given that there was still some time to wander and explore before heading out, Sonic decided to stop by Caesar's room. He knocked on the door, not sure if Caesar was in or not.]

[There's a moment before Caesar decides how to handle this. Despite the meeting, he'd certainly been expecting people, but that wasn't the problem. Did he tell them to just come in, like the lazy person he is? Or does he answer the door?

Ah, what the heck. He'll answer the door. Despite not feeling too enthusiastic about this, he still seems friendly enough!]

Yo.

[Sonic gave Caesar a smile once the Silverberg opened the door.]

Hey, you're Caesar, right? I'm Sonic, by the way. Saw you at the meeting, just wanted to intro myself again to you! [Assuming here that they decided at said meeting about who would be on what teams and who would take positions like scout or healer!]

I remember you. [Caesar nods.] I know these aren't the best circumstances, but it's a pleasure. Are you doing all right here so far?

Yeah, I think so! Just checking in to see how you're doin' and how you're holdin' up too. Heh, you got a lot of us out here to manage.

Heh. I appreciate the concern. [He smirks, shrugging a bit.] But this is nothing. I handled a lot more back home. Fewer people are much easier to keep organized.

Yeah, I trust that you've got this! After all this is over, is there gonna be another meeting to talk 'bout what's happened?

Perhaps. If not a meeting, I'm certain that it'll at least be discussed over the journals.

[Well, since rooms have been assigned alphabetically by surname, this Silverberg might hear one very irate Anise Tatlin making noise while she stomps her way to her room, near his. On Tokunaga, likely.]

[But by the time she actually she gets to her room, she'll quiet down, because fff this room is ~~actually kind of cool~~ not half bad, in a weird way that she is never ever going to admit to anyone ever.]

[All that noise is... suspicious. He'd known that some people were probably going to end up being dragged here, and if all of that noise was anything to go by, someone was probably going to need a talking-to.

Caesar looks out into the hallway, then, to search for the culprit of all this noise!]

[It's just Anise, throwing a bit of a tantrum, Caesar. Right now, she's finally gotten off of Tokunaga, and standing at the doorway of her room, arms crossed. Kind of in denial about how nice their accommodations are.]

...

[...how does so much noise come from such a small little girl. Either way, he closes the door to his own room behind him and decides to investigate.]

Uh... Sounds like things are just peachy over here. Are you all right?

No. They dragged me over when I barely finished with breakfast. [She didn't exactly come willingly, and is slightly bruised from the trip over here.]

This sucks.

I see. [He scratches his neck. He could imagine how she felt, only he'd accepted his cruel fate a long time ago.] I didn't think they'd actually let anyone stay behind, so I'm not surprised.

Do you think you'll be prepared to fight?

Of course I'll be! Just 'cause I don't want to be here, doesn't mean I'm not gonna fight. If they want me to kick those guys' butts again, I'll do it. Doesn't mean I'll have to like it, though.

I'm sure most people aren't going to like it. [He sure as hell didn't, and he'd been preparing for weeks.] But I'm glad to hear that. We're going to need all the help we can get out there.

[Knock-knock, knock-knock-knock. Knock. Knock.

And oh, yes. It's done to a tune.]

[Caesar answers the door personally. It wasn't so much about wanting to make a good impression as it was wanting to seem approachable - he had to feign good leadership, and it wasn't as easy as some people made it look.]

Fancy meeting you here. Need something?

Let's just say I'm in need of some last-minute bolstering.

[She sighs.] Mind if I come in?

I don't mind at all. [He shakes his head, and moves out of the way to let her in. Most people would have taken advantage of the luxuries they're being offered by now, but this guy? Nope. Not at all. He's used to not having every little thing he might want and so only sticks to the necessities. And in this case, the necessities pretty much just mean maps and notes and other boring strategist things. And he's okay with that.]

I'm not sure how much I can do for you, but I'll try my best.

[She takes the few steps in and unabashedly looks around. It looks...busy. Productive. She approves.]

Just...how much of our collective strategy deals with death? [She comes out swinging.] 'Cause, okay, I killed the General. But he very nearly killed me, too. What's supposed to be the deal with all his underlings? Full on slayage? Or just...disarm?

[She begins to pace. This is clearly someone who isn't used to hunting humans. There's a whole...soul issue involved.]

[Even after he shuts the door, Caesar remains standing as he speaks. He was feeling a bit restless, but for the most part, he didn't show it.]

Unfortunately, that's a good majority of it. During the last draft, the Malnosso specifically said that our men would remain in that city until all of the enemy's forces had been eliminated. It was estimated that it would take them about a week to do so, and it did. Had it taken longer, however, I don't doubt they would have kept them there.

So, to put it simply, disarming these guys won't be enough. The Malnosso want them out of there, so I'll guess it's because this place is important to them somehow. If these guys are anything like the last ones we fought, though, they're complete pushovers - even weaker than the ones we fought in the village. But it also probably means these guys aren't going to say a word to us, and are going to attack us no matter what we choose to do out there.

[She nods, sadly.] This is where the puppeteering part comes in, right?

[Buffy slides a hand along her jaw.] Well, if they are fully souled humans? They still made their choice. I can manage kill or be killed.

That would be our only option. We don't know why they're here, and they don't care why we're here. And I don't think anyone wants to be stuck out here longer than we have to be.
