SPECIAL NOTE!! - Since this didn't come up before (but should have, my bad), there are actually a minimum of 400 Third Party soldiers in each area as opposed to in total. This means there are 1200 of them over all.

Crazy's all relative, kid. And while I'm appreciatin' your honesty, yeah, maybe I do got a problem with that. But if you don't care, why're you here wasting both our times?

I don't care if you like me or not. I do care if you're going to attack my friend or me for it. And crazy's not all that relative. I've met crazies before, and they're pretty solidly, ranting, fire-belching, baby-stomping crazy. I guess SOME people might call that relative, but I bet those people are baby-stompers too.

[Eyeroll. This whole spiel is getting old fast.]

If it's any consolation, I ain't never stomped a baby.

Cool story, bro. Just answer me this: can I trust you? You're supposed to be a warrior, so you have to know how important that is. When you're fighting with someone, you have to know they got your back.

I'll tell you what I've been tellin' everybody else: You don't mess with me, I don't mess with you. You stick to that one rule, and that's fine by me.

[well, he feels truthful enough. And Toph's hung out with enough burly Earth Rumble wrestlers to know a nice lump of stupid machismo when she hears it. So she'll take him at that for the time being.]

If I counted everyone I made cry as a baby, the whole world would be a nursery.

[He snorts.] Whole world, huh? Maybe I should be askin' you about the baby-stompin'.

I'm gonna say Twinkletoes was a big wussy baby when I was teaching him earthbending, and is still a big baby even today, so fine. I stomp at least one baby every now and then, but that's for his own good. Doesn't count.

Twinkletoes, huh? With a name like that he's just askin' for a stomping.

It's my special name for him. His real name's Aang. But I think he's a Twinkletoes in spirit. He's an airbender, so he's real light on his feet. Makes him hard for me to see.

[...Wat? He had suspicions about the blind thing, but the "seeing" bit throws him for a loop.]

What, he some kinda fairy?

Nope. Airbender. Didn't Sokka explain about the bending stuff?

Don't really give a damn about "bending stuff".

[Shrug.] Well, that's what I meant when I said he was light on his feet.

So what's that got to do with seein' him?

I'm blind. I see with that bending stuff you don't give a damn about.

That's messed up. [...That totally slipped out of his mouth before he could think.] I mean, heh. Like, seein' eye magic. Whatever works.

Pretty much. That's why all these flying bad guys are going to be a major pain in the butt for me.

Right. [Intelligence? Toph fails to notice the intelligence.] I mean, there are some ways to get around it, but it's still a bunch of stuff falling or flying at me from the sky, and that's just a recipe for a bad, bad day. I'll probably be making a nice rock shield or anchoring myself to the ground.

I could pull 'em outta the sky with my chains. That's why I made 'em.

[Raph? Offering to help a magic-user? Now this's new.]

Chains, huh? Those would be pretty darn useful. As long as they're down, they're cake. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be picking off the ones everyone else is wounding. [There's a big reason why Toph needs to trust the people she's fighting with so much. She's especially vulnerable in this battle- she needs to know she can count on the people she's teaming up with to make sure she's safe from airborne attacks. Being blind sure sucks sometimes.]

[He grunts. That's definitely something he can do to help without getting muscled out of the fight by the magic-users. He's glad to have a place, even if he won't act it.]
