hi, guess what failmod slept in

Who: Everyone!
What: Earthquake
When: The morning of the quake and beyond
Where: ...Everywhere?
Summary: It was requested that a general reactionary log be tossed up when the quake happens so people can react in their own way without having a zillion posts. Individual posts are obviously still fine, but this might help people out.
Rating: Uh. G? PG for maybe violence and language? idk. /awesome at

[There is an earthquake! And it is collapsing stuff! Go forth and save yourseeeeelves!

...Okay yeah I've got nothing. You guys know what to do. Can be action or full log style. HAVE AT. And sorry for lateness -_-;]

Location: Building 3 (rescue mission)

[Despite the fact that her house actually was one that collapsed completely, Iris is out trying to rescue anyone else she can. She got herself out of the rubble of house #2 quickly enough via her teleportation skills and is headed out to building #3 after talking to Adell.

If anyone is in building 3 and needs a rescue, feel free to comment, also anyone else out rescuing people can use this thread for the folks helping out there.]

[Living on the seventh floor seemed like a good idea, really. Not when there's an earthquake, though. There just wasn't enough time to get down seven flights of stairs, though she was close. Maryann had made it to about the second floor before she decided to duck in a room and cover herself, cradling her journal.]

[identity profile] oracleofdeath.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
[It probably won't take long for Iris to find her, with that keen ability of hers to sense life energy of people, she knows what direction to go to find the survivors, the only question is how badly injured any person is. She knows Maryann is alive, so that's good.

Once she's within a range where her voice will be heard, she's going to shout over to Maryann to warn her of what she's going to do, since teleportation can indeed be a bit scary for someone who has never experienced it, even more scary than being trapped for some.]
Are you all right in there? I'm going to get you out here soon. Let me know if you are injured in any way.

[identity profile] followsthestory.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
[She's extremely shaken, but she's a tough girl. Maryann is just pleased that the table she ducked under held out as long as it did...and that there wasn't any flooding or fire. Yet.]

I'm fine! I...can still feel everything. Just really surprised. [And because she needs to know now--] How bad is the rest of the village?

[identity profile] oracleofdeath.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Good, strong sounding voice, doesn't sound like she's panicking. Just need to get her out before her air supply is depleted.]

I'll be honest, a lot of areas are very bad, but so far no one seems to be seriously injured. [Or dead, but not going to mention that part] You'll see soon. I'm going to use some magic to get you outside for now. You may feel a bit disoriented due to a sudden change in location, if you close your eyes, it will help a lot.

[And if it's all right, Iris is going to be using a spell to bring both her and Maryann outside to a solid piece of ground close by first.]

[identity profile] followsthestory.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
I see. That's fine. The magic, I mean. I'm ready whenever you are.

[Beggars can't be choosers, after all. And she just wants to get out from her cramped position. She closes her eyes.]

[identity profile] oracleofdeath.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
[And Iris casts the spell to take them both outside and to a solid piece of ground. It takes only seconds before Maryann can definitely tell the cramped feeling is gone and feel the rush of fresh air. Iris will also be standing nearby.]

You can open your eyes now.

[And Iris will be looking her over for signs of injury, basically to gauge if she needs to get medical attention or at least a heal spell.]

[identity profile] followsthestory.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
[When she does, she looks completely relieved. The best part is that aside from feeling really exhausted, she only has a burn mark and a cut on her leg. She slid to make it under that table. It's a miracle she didn't tear her skirt.]

Ah...thank you so much. I was really worried no one was going to find me there.

[identity profile] oracleofdeath.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
[And that is a good thing. Iris will use a healing spell that should close up the cut and make the burn mark feel better even if it doesn't all totally fade. The pain should definitely go away.]

I'm just glad we got you out before it got worse. Do you have friends you can stay with until the building is repaired?

[identity profile] followsthestory.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Woah. That was cool. She runs her hand along where the wound used to be before standing.]

Well, I don't know yet. I should really be checking on them...thanks so much, though! I'm Maryann. I should at least know the name of the person who saved me.

[identity profile] oracleofdeath.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
[Iris smiles. It's so interesting the reactions to magic that people here have, in her world it's so incredibly common that no one would even have flinched over teleportation. And since Maryann appears to be standing just fine, going to count her as all right and in no need of medical assistance.]

I'm Iris, a pleasure to meet you Maryann and I'm just glad you are all right. If none of your friends have a place, I saw that buildings 5 and 6 appear to have sustained no damage.

[identity profile] followsthestory.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
I'll keep that in mind, Iris. Once I check to make sure they're okay.

[Teleportation is kind of common in Pokemon land. Still, she seems to be a bit impatient. She can't just stand there and thank her forever, after all. Her adrenaline is working.]

Thanks again, though. I was really lucky you came by.
