Summary: It was requested that a general reactionary log be tossed up when the quake happens so people can react in their own way without having a zillion posts. Individual posts are obviously still fine, but this might help people out.

Shuri probably got into the Black Hawks out of mercy and his father's status. Probably paid them off too. It's not like he was originally supposed to be one of them anyway. I was.

It was barely enough to survive! They're such tyrants. [Mikage chuckles faintly and manages to hook Shuri's arm over his shoulder, trying to lift him up. The sooner they get away from the collapsed building, the better.] I feel kind of sorry for the Black Hawks, having to take care of this guy.

[ he would throw out some retort, if not for the fact that that he's choking back a scream as soon as Mikage starts to move him. he doesn't do well with pain, and that was easy to ignore when he'd gotten used to the ache.

We can't really stand around waiting for someone to tell us where to go. Bishop Labrador will know where to go if we have to move him.

[ sob. people used to care. and he's going to lean against you two because everything's getting blurry again. ]

[Mikage follows Teito's gaze, frowning at Shuri as they walk.]

Hey, yeah. You have to stay awake, passing out when you're this hurt is really dangerous!

[ go away, the talking ducks are telling him to go to bed. ]

[Mikage's tempted to nudge him into staying awake, but he really has no desire to cause the poor guy any more pain. (He doesn't want anyone to scream in his ear, either.)]

Just try to focus on walking. Come on, Teito, we have to hurry.

[Mikage's wishing about the same thing; maybe it's time to learn that healing spirit magic. He'll remember that for later. Thankfully the house is sort of RIGHT THERE, so it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get Shuri to the door and inside the house.]

Do you think we could get some more bandages from the clinic? There might be a section in the back that isn't too badly damaged.

[ oh look, home! oh look, the... that's not the ceiling, that's the floor. why is the floor so close and fuzzy. he's sagging slightly in their grasp. ]

Can I go lie down? [ careful, he might get sick. ]

[ don't you dare barf on him Shuri he will toss your ass out. ]

I'll go back and grab some. Can you take it from here, Mikage?

Yeah, sure. [Mikage takes over supporting Shuri's weight, leading him in the direction of his bedroom.] Just a little more and you can lie down all you want. And we'll try to fix up your wounds, too.

[ he'll. stay awake, because some distant part of him remembers that it's not a good idea to sleep like this. but he'd really like to stop moving because he's feeling really, really sick at this point. ]

[Mikage glances back as Teito leaves, then focuses on Shuri again, carefully helping him to his room and sitting him down on the bed. Sitting is better than walking, right?]

Hey, Shuri? I don't think you should lie down yet. You don't look so good...

[Oh, sitting is nice. But everything is still spinning and. He really wants his daddy right now.]
