Summary: It was requested that a general reactionary log be tossed up when the quake happens so people can react in their own way without having a zillion posts. Individual posts are obviously still fine, but this might help people out.

[Jennifer hesitates before shaking her head no. Sore, yes, but there was nothing in particular need of attention.

However, she doesn't take Sheena's hand, and instead does something very bold for a lady of such hesitant and timid behavior-

She reaches up and embraces her.]

Sheena's too surprised to do much, at first. But she's been in this kind of place before, mentally, and even if she doesn't know Jennifer's exact story she can intuit the being alone and outcast part very well. Have a return hug.]

[The hug doesn't last long on her part; after a moment, Jennifer seems to realize what she is doing and tenses immediately before beginning to pull away, expecting some sort of repercussion for her spontaneous action.]

[So she notices, by the insistent whining below her. Jennifer allows Sheena to lead them out of the building, and she finally, really takes in her surroundings and she lets in a soft intake of breath.]

...Oh.

...This is awful.

[Her reaction is so muted that it would be hard to guess the event had sent her into hysterics not too long ago.]

[Sheena probably didn't let go of her, considering she found her unconscious and Jennifer seems like the type to hide it if she's really hurt.]

Yeah, it's pretty bad. At least it doesn't seem like there'll be aftershocks - everything's fallen down into the Malnosso tunnels.
