Part 2
Who: Everyone!
What: Tunnel Digging
When: Any time after ANI's message
Where: Probably all over the place, mostly along the quake lines.
Summary: Here's the secondary log for the quake; anyone and everyone can feel free to dig around and interact, organize search parties, even have a follow-up for the events of the quake itself. Free-for-all. The main purpose is to progress the plot.
Rating: G/PG for maybe violence and language again. IDEK.
[This is pretty much a free-for-all; if anyone has questions about what you'll find in the tunnels, contact one of the modsquad \o The first thread will be the official Finding John thread; this thread is limited to Jacob Black and his team. Thanks, guys!]

The Main Rescue
The barrier failed. That's all he knows. He has to get out.]

he doesn't know the man's scent and even if he did, it would be impossible to pick it out over the dust and dirt. it's hard to miss a beast like that skulking along the main fault line. still, there it is. it's better to try than to leave the poor bastard to suffocate.
Cullen! I know you can hear me, get the hell over here! the thought goes out, and then those big paws are sweeping over the ground. no time for guess work.]

So, when Diana seees a giant wolf digging around a specific area, she decides to approach him. Perhaps he has a lead.]
Excuse me.
no subject
Someones under where he's digging.
[ He nods to Diana then moves over to Jacob. ] Anyone we know?
no subject
Weren't you paying attention? Just start digging, get her to help too. We don't have much time.
[and with that, he shuffles away from his new companions and starts seriously digging down.]

Once inside, Diana slows down and approaches the figure cautiously, not wanting to disturb the already unstable foundations caused by the earthquake.]
I think he's unconscious.

I can't hear his thoughts, I'd say you're right. [ He steps forward once and pauses. ]
Do you want to lift or pull him out?
no subject
Don't leave the fishbowl.]
no subject
He doesn't want us to leave the fishbowl behind.

Wryly-] Do you want to carry the fishbowl or the man?
no subject
What's easiest for you?

She also crouches down, carefully easing John's body from the rubble.]
I'll take him.
no subject
[ He moves slowly and starts to push the rubble off. ]

...How ironic that someone from the Malnosso cares so much about his pet.
no subject
[ He's careful about where he puts the stones, not wanting to agitate the situation anymore. Once John is out he slowly picks up the fishbowl. ]
no subject
I'll take your word for it.
no subject
You go first.

Mission accomplished?

I'll put out the word that we need a bed in the barracks.

She turns to Jacob.] Did you happen to see a wolf around here? He's quite big, and has brown fur.
no subject
You're looking at me. [wait a second. Cullen, why do you have a fish?]
no subject
He's the wolf. And, this belongs to the Malnosso we just dragged up.
no subject
Oh -- my name is Diana.
no subject
I'm Jacob. [And... What. Fish. What.] He's Edward... and that's John. [that's a hell of a sunburn - oh wait, that's his normal skin.]]

Flipping open his journal, he thumbed the key to post by voice.
"If anyone is still trapped and can respond, please do so. I can assist."
Pocketing the book again, he summoned his Alter and began clearing a new path to the tunnels, moving the rubble carefully, cutting through the larger pieces with the razor-sharp whips.

This there was the tall teenager girl in a fuku skirt, digging around the area, pausing when she had to catch her breath or rest her arms. She nearly wished there was a physical enemy to fight - at least those she knew how to handle.
