Who: John and ...just about anyone in the barracks.

Summary: John is awake at last and pondering the state of things in the storage room of the barracks; his appearance there hasn't been broadcast, but he's still there, so while he's sort of guarded he's available if you know where to look. I'm making this bracket style too, because we are all lazy hos.
Rating: PG maybe?

[At the end of nearly a week's worth rest and recovery, John is up and awake, tucked away in the back area of the Luceti barracks, lost in Deep Thought. Obviously things have gone very, very wrong in Luceti, considering the mess outside. Without his equipment, he can't just fix it on his own.

...Dammit, that means he has to talk to people.

After much deliberation, John will be venturing out of his room to get a better look at the situation, as well as find some gophers to do dirty work for him. He won't be going outside, because HELLO, summons, but he'll most likely be at the windows or doors, watching. Bother him or be prepared to be bothered \o

As an extra note: PLEASE do not be offended if John brushes your character off. He is an extremely intolerant NPC and generally unhelpful to peons, so if he doesn't find your character to be worth his time, expect to be ignored.]

[As part of his duties to the League, Batman's been taking shifts guarding John from potential ne'er do wells between bouts of fighting outside and sleeping.

Seeing him up and about, he's still keeping a watchful eye on him... and any who approach him.]

[Oh Batman. Ever watchful and helpful. You are Good People.

But he actually has some business with you, specifically, so after he deals with everyone else, he approaches.]

[He nods an acknowledgement to him as he does so. And he'll cut to the chase.]

Something I can do for you, John?

[John returns the nod, glancing outside.]

The situation has worsened while I slept. Strong as you all are, you can't deal with this problem on your own.

[Batman wishes he could disagree, but honestly, things are looking fairly grim at this point.]

The enemies remain almost as strong as they were when they first appeared. Their numbers are not easily thinned out.

What do you need to stop this flood?

I require a laptop. One from the tunnels will do.

[Batman nods once. Makes sense enough. John knows how the enclosure works better than anyone else here. It would be logical that a piece of technology that was left behind by the Malnosso would be the start of how he could begin fixing these issues. He's not sure of the risk involved potentially removing one of the only means of private village-wide communication, but if something's not done, there won't be a village left to communicate with. He doesn't like the idea of trusting everyone's fate to an individual with a shadowy reputation.

...He's beginning to understand how Harvey Bullock must've felt. Regardless, this is no time for it. He knows John is the only person who can figure out what's going on and has the know-how to stop it.]

I'll call another member of the League to come over here and cover my absence. I should be able to retrieve one of them. The monsters have been prone to avoiding the tunnels thus far, so once I'm inside, it's just a matter of getting back.

[John merely nods again, gaze shifting back to the window.]

The sooner the better, unless you want those creatures to destroy the entire enclosure.

Understood.

[Batman pulls out his journal and makes a quick call through his League filter.]

Batman to Justice League. Need a new guard on shift. Now. Something's come up. Batman out.

[He quickly puts his journal back into the back slot in his utility belt.]

One of them will be here shortly.
