[Up in Flat 23, the last door of the group of rooms is open. After being returned from a mallynap and brought back to the room by Smoker, Grell has been doing not much more than sleeping. Glorious, glorious sleep. There is little else the death god can do without blowing the story of a sprained ankle, and so Grell is lounging back in bed, dead to the world.

Saleh promised he would come today, but after a month of no sleep, Grell just can't wake up on time. Hopefully, the visitor doesn't mind to wake up the sleeping princess?]

Perhaps it was the flow of time; the details of the battle were rewritten, and the Great Dragon mostly erased from the picture.

....Rude. Why in the world would people wish to forget their own savior?

I cannot even begin to guess. It may not have been intentional. All we can do in our village is continue to preserve the true tale, and hope to re-educate the world.

Well, I do wish you luck with that. Don't go the Crusader route though. That never ends well.

Yes, I've been well...as well as I can be, at any rate. I still fear for my homeland, however.

Doesn't everyone? I've heard rumor that time has stopped so it isn't much to worry about.

I have heard that as well...and yet I still cannot be certain.

[Grell shifts in bed and brushes her hair over one shoulder.]

Well, there is really no way to know, so I find it's better not to worry.

[Saleh bats an eye at that, slightly offended, but still open-minded.]

Would you honestly be able to say that if you knew that everything you hold dear was in danger of being lost?

[Grell pauses, realizing that she may have just angered him, but then starts combing her fingers through her hair instead of apologizing.]

And if I already lost what I held dear?

Then do what you can to regain it, restore it, or rebuild it, even if it may seem impossible.

[He ponders deeply about that himself, in case he did lose Lady Myrrh permanently.]

If it were possible to bring the dead back to life and forget what happened, then perhaps I could. [But Madam Red is both dead and the memory of her betrayal still alive, so neither is possible.]

Let's not speak of this. It's putting me in a terrible mood.

Hmm. Very well.

[It's not exactly something he wants to talk about either.]

So what else have you been up to? I hear you about, but I rarely see you.

I just wander around the village and forest, assisting those who need it.

Do you help at that...centre they have? The Welcome Centre or whatever it is called?

I help occasionally, but Rydia and her co-workers do fine work there. I feel like I am needed in the forest more when new arrivals appear.

How altruistic of you. I suppose I should do something similar myself, but it's so difficult to find them all.

Just do what you can. If you can help but one person, is that not worth something?
