Who:
forsurvival,
raizanshou, possibly also
ledbythewind and
denyingreasons later on.
What: Mallynap return!
When: 12th of February, around sunset.
Where: The river near house #43.
Summary: The Malnosso have returned Lambda from his kidnapping. Drama ensues.
Rating: PG-ish?. But there will be major Tales of Graces spoilers.
[Four days have passed since Lambda was taken by the Malnosso and finally, they've had their fun and deem it time to return him. They've extracted all the information they needed, after all. Perhaps they're even a bit curious to see how people will respond to his current state. Results of experimentation can be an experiment in their own right, sometimes.
As the sun sets over the village of Luceti, people living in the most northern part of the village may hear a loud splash. Something's been dropped into the river. Something heavy. Yes, you guessed it! Lambda's lifeless body remains floating on the surface of the river, the current dragging it along, but only for a few seconds. Then it slowly begins to sink. It settles onto the river floor in such a position that one might be fooled into thinking he's sleeping. Things couldn't be further from the truth.]

As he passed by the river though, he heard that loud splash, which caught his attention. Enough so to make him stare at the river. Just what was that...?]
no subject
The river's currents continued to tug at him, his shredded clothing and mildly singed hair waving gently, but other than that he remained unmoving.]
no subject
Not stopping to do anything sensible like remove his shoes or roll up his pant legs or anything like that, he instead steps right into the river, wading over to where the body is.]

While the lack of struggling is probably a good thing, it won't mean Asbel has his work cut out for him. Now that Lambda's body is filling up with water, he's growing more and more heavy by the second.]
no subject
Lambda is too heavy to really lift and carry right now... So Asbel elects to drag him to the side of the river, and then push him out from there.]
no subject
Lambda's eyes are open, but completely unseeing, making him look eerily similar to a corpse. It seems that nobody's home, in the literal sense of the word.]
no subject
The expression on Lambda's eyes are especially disconcerting...]
...Lambda...?
no subject
no subject
He notices... something out of the corner of his eye, but he doesn't pay it any attention yet, more concerned with Lambda at the moment. Maybe if he tilts the body up to get some of the water to drain out...]

The entity between the trees hovers there for a relatively long time, just watching. It's been hurt badly, but it can't count on the Humanoid vessel any more. The way it is now, it won't survive much longer. Survive... It doesn't want to die. Its scared of what will happen, even if the 'return trip' is supposed to be a certainty.
Lambda still isn't certain if he can trust Asbel, but this boy is his only chance right now. That's why he finally decides to reveals himself from his hiding place, a shadow of his former self.]
... Asbel.
no subject
...Wait, that voice... It sounded like Lambda... But... it didn't come from the body... It's empty and lifeless, but that sounded like him...
He turns his attention in the direction the voice came from, spotting the entity floating near the trees.]
...! L-Lambda...

Asbel then rises to his feet.]
Lambda... What happened to you?
no subject
Mal... nosso.
no subject
He starts walking towards Lambda, slowly.]
...You can't return to your body the way it is now, can you? ...What can I do to help you?
no subject
[It's just that simple. Lambda needs a vessel, fast. He's already weakened and unable to recover in this state, but to top it all off he doesn't have wings right now. Without those to sustain him, he's slowly dying. The Humanoid body would've done fine, even if it's so busted up it's incapable of movement, but he can't get back in there.]
no subject
He didn't expect that said help would involve something that had haunted his nightmares for months now. His call for Asbel dies on his lips as he just stands, staring at the hovering orb, part of his instincts screaming at him to run, the other part conflicted.]
no subject
...Right, of course. I already promised that much to you, Lambda... [He's now walking towards Lambda, hand outstretched.]
no subject
Never mind that he made a promise back in their world, or that he offered himself as Lambda's vessel there. Richard wasn't conscious to see that happen, nor was he able to voice his objections to it.]
Asbel!
[He darts forward, intending to shove his friend out of the way before he can touch that swirling mass.]
no subject
...R-Richard?
[OOMPH TO THE GROUND.]
no subject
Asbel, if you allow him to possess you, you'll...
no subject
Richard... Lambda needs my help... I can't just leave him to die!
no subject
[At that, Richard freezes, then turns to look at Lambda. Asbel's right, that glow is weakening...]
no subject
no subject
[He turns back to Richard, a sympathetic smile on his face.] ...I want to help him now, Richard, like I promised him I would... I'll help him like you wanted to back then...
[And now he turns back towards Lambda, continuing to walk towards him, though he continues to speak to Richard.] And... I know you'll watch over us both after this.
