[... Why was the ground shaking slightly?

Luke pauses in his steps to frown and stare down at the ground - just as a shadow comes over him.

He turns to see what it is-]

GAH!

[And he LEAPS OUT OF THE WAY just before the foot can squish him. Luke is no expert at leaping so far, though, so he lands on his side and slides to halt, and though that kind of hurt, he still pushes himself up to shout after her as loud as he can.]

Watch where you're going, damn it!

[...a few days ago she was a squeaky green thing, can she really be surprised here]

[And she approaches him - carefully this time - and leans down to get a better look.]

[Luke's aura had changed to a blazing red to yell at her, but now that he's pushing himself up to his feet, it's back to that yellow/orange color. He dusts himself off and looks for his leaf, and- ... bah, he had dropped it when he jumped away. Now it lay crushed in Ranka's path. At least it was good while it lasted...

And though Ranka is careful in her approach, once Luke notices her approaching, he still takes several steps back. It's hard to not be intimidated by something that can squish you easily.]

... Yeah, I'm okay. Just watch it next time, all right? Jeez...

[She watches the color change, interested. It's kind of pretty, okay.

She pauses when he takes his steps back, taking the opportunity to get a good look at him. He seems just like a teeny person, but then there's the color thing...]

Are you a fairy?

No. [Fairies are stupid and girlie. He puts his hands on his hips while he narrows his eyes up at her, as if he's trying to look intimidating despite being an inch and a half tall.] I'm... whatever Miyabi is. Some bug thing.
