In which Sokka maybe actually succeeds (we hope)

[This was it. Sokka had been working up the nerve and going through all the preparations for this. The Big Day. Do or die. Either he rises or falls. He'd get to find out the answer to a question that would determine the REST OF HIS LIFE.

Either way, he'd let him work crew know he was going to be off, blown off school, informed Katara and the others he would not be back for dinner (or at all that night) and practiced his lines in front of an utterly disinterested Hawky. And then on a slightly less apathetic Momo.

Sunset was still about an hour off and Sokka was waiting by the river with the black canoe, Maza. He had wisely chosen not to take the one named Yue. Although now he was realizing he hadn't taken consideration of the moon cycle. Crap! What if this was a Full Moon? How could he manage to do something like this if he was feeling guilty about Yue!? Ugh... he'll just have to do the deed during sunset, rather than down at the lake. To think, he's already bungling things up this early.

Well, there's nothing for it now. He told Suki to meet him by the river bank. It was just a matter of her showing up now.]

[He feels like an idiot when she starts giggling and again is about to turn red. But he soon realizes she's not doing it to be mean. And well, he was being kind of silly.

... and she wants to keep going. This prompts him to sit up pulling himself out from underneath her just enough to sit. Because to him, this seems like this should be something handled a little more... intimately.]

... okay. Well if you're sure.

[A deep breath and then he'll slowly start to peel off her shirt again, a little more hesitantly and unsure, because now it's the only thing on his mind and oh man, what if she doesn't actually want to do this?]

[She has to take a deep breath as he does, mostly because even with how relaxed she is compared to her initial "oh gosh I'll be half-naked with him", this is still a pretty big step. And while she can't imagine regretting it later - she's not going to change her mind about marrying him - this moment is something she knows can't be done over. The first time is just... special like that. And she wants them both to enjoy it.

Steeling herself against her worries, she moves to try and help him with it, arms lifting as the shirt rises so he can get it over her head.]

[Okay then. He plucks it off and tosses it to the side, watching where it lands. This shouldn't be a big deal, right? Technically, this isn't anything he's seen before. A few accidents have happened in Luceti and he's got an eye full before. And Suki... well, he did see these before, even if it was from a rather unusual... angle.

But all of that just makes him feel guilty, so he pushes that aside. So he turns his head and... there it is. His girlfriend- no, betrothed, sitting across from him. And... yup. Breasts. She's got those too. And, well, they're nice. But there's really nothing he can say that wouldn't come out incredibly awkward, so he leans forward for a kiss instead.]

[He gets points for not automatically going for the aforementioned breasts, though she can't say she'd have blamed him if he had. Pleased and feeling better already, she returns the kiss with enthusiasm, arms shifting back to wind around his shoulders, body pressing against his.]

[Wow. They're... squishy. Well, he knew that already, but it's different with no barrier between them. He'll happily fall onto his back again, for now content at how close they actually are. It's something he's never felt before, because he can feel her warmth becoming his own. His own hands slink around her bare back, around her waist.]

[They'll probably be kissing like that for a while, since she's content to move at the pace they've got going so far. Though she does try letting her hands explore a little once more. It was enjoyable before and took them in an interesting direction, so why not?]

[Since she's exploring, he'll end up doing much the same. His hands travel up her back and along her sides, stopping just below her arms. He can't progress any further than that with how close they are, so when their lips next part, he plants a kiss on the side of her neck instead.]

[After some macking, exploring, and clumsy teenage friskiness, THE DEED WAS DONE.

[Yeah, no kidding. Suki's kind of breathless, so it takes her a moment to respond, merely nodding at first.]

Y... yeah. I wasn't expecting it to be so... [...Wow.]

[Okay... yeah. That was great. He relaxes back on a pillow, pulling his hands up behind his head. A head full of hair that is quite messy by now.]

Yeah, it was just... tomorrow, we've gotta do it again.

[She has to laugh a little at that.]

Tomorrow? Are you going to schedule it ahead of time, now?

Hey, I'm just saying, it's something we've gotta do again. That's all. Don't you want to?

[On the other hand... it might not be something they should do at home. It would be kind of weird knowing his sister was right across the hall.]

[kyoshi]

I'm not about to say no. [She shifts a bit, resting her head on his chest.] I liked it. We might want to find somewhere better, though. [Though the fire is nice.]

[markofthewise]

Yeah. Not here... or at home. [Which uh, doesn't leave much. Maybe a love nest in one of the apartments?]

[kyoshi]

I don't want to move out, either. [Not only would it be lonely, but it would probably be really obvious.]

[markofthewise]

No... neither do I. [If they were ever to get married in Luceti, he'd have to be talked out of staying at the house with everyone still there. I mean, he can't just move out and leave Katara alone with Toph and Zuko, right?] But we could find a place... for special nights, maybe.

[kyoshi]

We have to be careful we don't get caught, either. [Well, it's kind of embarrassing, to be honest. Imagine if someone noticed what they were up to!]

[markofthewise]

[... not to get caught.] What we just did... it wasn't wrong, was it?

I-it's not that! I mean... it was our choice, right? So it's fine if we decide to do it. But it's... it's just no one else's business!

[markofthewise]

[... ah.] Right... yeah. I guess uh, this isn't something anyone else needs to know about. [Not that he was the bragging type, but... hnnggh.]

[......] Were you going to tell people?

What? No. No! I mean, I wasn't planning to go announce it or anything. [But you know if it came up... he might've mentioned it.]
