Who: Amiti and Piers
What: Mercury Adept and gameplay clone bonding
When: April 16th, all day at a far more reasonable time of day.
Where: Out on the beach by the ocean
Summary: Piers very much wants to get to know the non-evil person from his world here, even if Amiti wasn't even born yet in his time.
Rating: PG at most, but should also warn for Dark Dawn spoilers that are likely to show up since Piers will be getting spoiled for his own future.

[It looked like the day was going to be a fine one and perfect for a trip to the ocean. It was a nice change from the cold the past few days, that was for sure.

So Piers got a hold of Amiti and arranged to meet him in the plaza. He went ahead and picked up enough food to last for the day so they could have plenty of time to just talk and get to know each other better. He also made sure he has his journal, the map Nami gave him, and other things needed for a day out at the beach.

Once the younger Adept arrived, Piers was going to go ahead and teleport them over. Of course, this reveals that yes, he does have the Teleport Lapis, but he trusts the boy by now. His only concern is if Alex finds out.

And they will arrive just outside what used to be the desert fort.]

[He'll arrive with Piers, a bit disoriented because he's not used to teleporting. Hell, even in Yamata Temple, the whole thing between rooms was trippy.]

[He's sorry about that, but it is a long walk and somewhere away from the village is best for this sort of talk.] Are you all right?

How did you manage to teleport such a distance?

[He'll hold out his hand and Amiti will be able to see the Teleport Lapis.] I found this in the shop. It allows me to use the Teleport Psynergy.

[And obviously, this is something that needs to not end up in Alex's hands.]

[Staaaaare. He doubts Alex even needs it though, seeing as it's Alex.]

You had it in your possession before you arrived here?

We got it at the Mars Lighthouse and I was able to keep it since I'll have the most use for it. I also have the Hover Jade, but that is mostly useless here.

Oh. Why is it useless?

[he figures it's the type of hovering Alex pulled, which was pretty damn useful.]

It only works when standing on a certain type of device that doesn't exist here or on my ship... [And the way he trails off just shows how useless something that makes his ship hover is without said ship.]

But no need to speak of such items. We need to worry more about Alex and what he plans here.

[sigh. he thought the topic would change to that.]

Even now, I do not understand his motives.

We were told by the Wise One that he had climbed Mt. Aelph around the time we lit the Mars Lighthouse. He wanted the power that would come from restoring Alchemy to the world. But there was no way he could have survived, not with the condition of the area around Vale.

I know that as well. However, he did survive, and hid for thirty years. None of us knew until we reached Apollo Sanctum.

Truly? I don't see how it would be possible. So how did you get involved in whatever he is planning then?

[And Piers is going to go ahead and walk closer to the water, this likely is going to be long and they may as well make themselves comfortable on the beach.]

[Yeah this is gonna take a while. So he might as well join him.]

Originally, we set out to find a Mountain Roc feather. However, the Tuaparang, with Alex among them, involved us in their schemes.

[though he's not sure if Alex is part of Tuaparang anymore since...yeah. double-double-crossing and all that.]

[He frowns. Yet more people he doesn't know about because while their journey did cover much of the world, there were definitely plenty of places they did not need to go.] And who are these Tuaparang?

They are fiends who come from a militaristic country called Tuaparang.

[Yeah, way to go, and way for Piers to show how sheltered his upbringing was.

But he had been prepared for this and since the map he had made to take notes for his mission had shown up here, he could at least use that to get a better idea of things.] Can you show me where this place is? I'm also curious about where your home is.

[And Amiti will be able to notice that the continents are pretty accurate for the time Piers comes from, but any place he had not personally visited is blank besides outlines of the continent.]

Ah...I cannot mark its location on a map, for I do not know where it is. I can show you the location of my kingdom, though.

[at least, he's pretty sure. world changes and everything.]

Anything helps. I admit, I had not seen anything of the outside world until I left Lemuria, so there are many places I don't know anything about.

[Alright, just...give him a while to locate the Lamakan Desert.

...He. He can't do it.]

The geography has changed so much since the Golden Sun event...may I ask where the Lamakan Desert is located on here?

[WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN 30 YEARS]

[And the look Piers has on his face shows he has no clue what this desert is. Either it's a place he never visited, or names changed in 30 years.]

I'm not sure where that is. [He points to the continent that he recalls Amiti saying his home was on, if he recalls right, that was where Vale was.] The continent it should be on is here. Vale was here. [He points to where the now ruins of the village are.]

I see.

[Then he kind of...locates the Lamakan Desert from that, judging from that large space of DESERT. From there he goes a little south, locating where Ayuthay would be if...the Golden Sun event didn't just screw with geography.]

I suppose it would be approximately here.
