You can learn a lot of things from the flowers
Who: Everyone!
What: Cherry blossom viewing party
When: Sunday morning to evening? It's an all-day affair, but if you want to stay there till night, hey, it's cool.
Where: Cherry blossom tree hill.
Summary: Spring spring spring! The annual cherry blossoms are blooming, and they won't be there for long. Go go picnic-time!
Rating: G, PG-13? We're in crowds here, let's not scar the kids.
Sunday morning- bright, without a cloud in the sky and perfect in every manner for a picnic under the cherry blossoms. Sure, the hill's a bit far if you live in the southern end of the village but hey, the weather's perfect. Time to get a-walking!
Did you bring food? Can you cook? Or would you, in an attempt to be generous and adventurous, set up a barbeque pit?! Try not to burn down the place now, no one would be happy.
((OOC: Right, this is the cherry blossom viewing log that I promised! Use brackets or prose or whatever style you'd fancy, set up different sections if you'd like! THREADJACK like you've never threadjacked before as well- I expect to see some. Lots.))

[Though Gilbert has forgotten quite a bit, some things have returned, and some things he doesn't need to remember to know. He doesn't say more than that, though he scowls at the cigarette in his hand as if it had committed some great offense, his brow furrowed in deep thought or sudden pain.]

[Though the truth is anything but, Gilbert's harsh look almost seems to calm Vincent further, his smile widening a fraction more. To have done something to make brother show that face earns Richard a special place in Vincent's heart, shadowy and black, kept carefully secret from those who otherwise interfere. Oh, Richard will pay indeed for his sin, but neither here nor now. Torture proves all the more effective when the the victim knows neither when it will begin, or end.]
But I am curious about what upset you so, Sir Richard. [What horrible things does he see in the red color of Vincent's eye?]

[Richard blinks, looking over to the man that he knows as 'Raven.' An alias? Well. It's not as if he doesn't understand the reasons for such a thing; after all, he'd had to use one himself when showing Asbel around the capital. But there is a part of him that's curious about it, about why this man feels the need to hide his true identity. Not that he'll say anything out loud asking about it, of course. He knows better than that. If Raven - Gil - wants to explain, he will.]
Please, just Richard will do. Forgive me my rudeness; I assure you that I meant no offense. I was merely surprised... in my world, eyes like yours are quite rare. In fact, this is only the second time I've seen them before.
[He smiles in an attempt to lighten the mood.]
You must also admit that the two of us share a rather uncanny resemblance as well.

Gilbert absently rubs his forehead with the back of his free hand, not even noticing the look Richard casts in his direction. That was when they were children. That was... a long time ago, and he deliberately forces himself not to think too hard about it.]
It's rare where we're from, as well.

[Vincent's focus shifts away from Richard briefly, noting the way Gilbert nurses his forehead. It's not at all unlike that time before his brother and friends ventured into Sablier, on the festival day. And Gilbert remains the same, even if he truly remembers nothing of their past.
Still, brother seems to be calming now, which is fortunate. If Gilbert makes a scene, he might scare this stranger off before Vincent has a chance to teach him a lesson. He nods slightly at the assessment, because both aspects are true. He does in fact look a great deal like this Richard, save for the shade of his right iris.]
That's actually quite true, isn't it? It's funny what coincidences we encounter.
But let's move on from that awkward topic, shall we? How do you know my brother, Richard?

[If he is bothered at all by Vincent's eye, he certainly isn't showing it now beyond that moment of initial surprise. He seems just as much at ease as he was before-- hopefully that calmness will allay Vincent's and Gil's worries somewhat. He hopes.]
The two of us met when he first arrived here, though I must admit it wasn't the best of circumstances. That's why I was so glad to get the chance to speak to him again now that he'd settled in.

[He is. Fine. Just fine, as indicated by the way he all but snaps off the words. It's followed by a faint, almost apologetic sigh, but he doesn't look over at his brother; he just lowers his hand from his forehead and lifts the cigarette back to his lips.
Even so he doesn't seem terribly mollified by Richard's attitude now, though he does grimace a little at the mention of the "circumstances" under which they'd met.]
Showing up here is probably unsettling for everyone.
