First meeting of the science club. 3:00 today. The barracks. Please keep it secret.

Action

[Don will be at the barracks early, staking out a room and frequently peeking into the hall to make sure everyone finds their way to the unmarked location. When everyone seems to have arrived, he'll gather them in a loose circle for a brief round of introductions. Once that's done, he'll encourage them to mingle and talk about whatever interests them. At later meetings they can focus on specific topics; today they'll just get a sense of the group's dynamics, their areas of interest, and what physical and intellectual resources they can pool towards their various goals.]

((* Including the Elric brothers, because Winry vouched for them, but excluding Eggman, because he's a little scary.))

((Just to be clear: the character exclusions are IC only. OOCly, if you want your character to attend, then go ahead and assume they found out about the meeting despite the invitees' best efforts to be stealthy.))

"Baseline human..." Robert clears his throat a little. "I am... free of the paranormal, to the best of my knowledge; at least so far as anybody else has reacted."

He's clean of drugs - five years helps - isn't significantly ill in any way despite general out-of-shape-ness, and doesn't have any major deviances from the norm. He's also a homogenized human, so he shouldn't have any strong variability in any way, really.

"... It would be better to... have a larger control group than this, but if we were to suddenly sample the whole of Luceti, it might draw active suspicion..."

And Robert isn't certain what drives Filial magic. It has to be something everybody has in common, here. Yet, it also needs to be consciously manipulable. Energy, similar to electromagnetics but on a different wavelength?

"That's right," Ami nodded towards Robert. "That's why I believe it's better to stay with the plans I've already made. Adding anything more will only add more opportunity for notice."

Later, she could count on the shared thoughts of the group. For now, this was something she could do to their benefit while they worked on other portions of their overall goals.

She nods. It's suspicion that could be drawn not only from paranoid residents, but from the Malnosso... Not to mention some residents could simply choose to hide their species.

"Unfortunately, the most we'll be able to get will be theories, but maybe we can find a connection with those things." And perhaps an easier way to stop the droids. One piece that may be responsible for stopping all functions altogether. A 'sweet spot', so to speak.

"But everything you guys learn... I'd like to know."

She remembers the words of Sir Albert. Knowledge is a commodity.

The touch on his shoulder makes Robert blink over at Don, a little surprised. He doesn't realize how much this decision is bothering Don - to him, it's simply a case of the logical thing to do, and quite frankly he'd been fascinated enough to want to try it on his own... he'd just never been able to because it was too dangerous.

Still, he nods over at Ami. "I understand, Doctor Mizuno... I am often at the Battle Dome Clinic myself, so if you need me to come in soon, I would be willing to oblige..."

It'd actually be somewhat subtle, too, because it won't be a strange person showing up there.

"I certainly plan to share it." That was a promise she'd make even without asking, her intention even without being told. This was too important to keep to herself.

To be honest, if she discovered there was a way to save only herself and Usagi, she'd take it, to save Usagi and be with her. But for now, but outside that, her best way forward to that goal was still finding a way all of them could use. And, to do her credit, it was her first thought and priority.

Her posture softens a little, and wonders if anyone here could know her enough to read her inside her armor. She had just dumped the weight of all of the lives inside the barrier on all of their shoulders. All of the residents could be at risk if any word comes out of what Daisy had witnessed and studied that day.

She feels guilt. But if she were to ripped from this world today, or tomorrow, with all of what she had gathered, everything would have been for nothing.

"Thank you, guys." She answers. Her tone is a little softer. "I don't know with how much else could I help you all on this. But I'll try."

"Ms. Daisy," Robert says quietly, "this is some of the most compelling information I have ever seen in Luceti. You have... every right to be here. In fact, we ought to be thanking you..."

Perhaps he's simply ignorant to Daisy's guilt. He does know this is important, and needs to remain hidden, but to Robert, the sheer importance of the data means it's amazing that Daisy was able to get it.

"... I wonder if... there are others who have knowledge like this..."
