It's party time! /cue rapping dog

Summary:After draft and experiment, Ven's super belated 'birthday' party is finally underway! Food, fun, derping, and mingling are all a-okay.
Rating: Probably no more than PG.

[After being suitably distracted by Sora earlier in the day (and any others who might've jumped in), the last thing Ven expects when he finally enters the Rec Center is a party.

So when the lights are on and he sees everyone-- and everything there? He just grins widely with a look of excitement and surprise all at once!

Let's get this party started.]

[ooc: Wasn't sure what all to put here, um. Anyway, people don't have to have tagged Terra's last post to have come! Like Athena said in the OOC, he would've done another post (implied) before the party to finalize things. Info here and here.]

Yeah, I've met a lot people here, and I try to make new friends all the time.

[Which is of course accompanied by a hair-ruffle. He can't help it, the kid's adorkable to a fault.]

[Don't worry. Ven doesn't sound or look upset by that hair ruffle. He laughs and nudges Zack with his elbow. Totally harmless.]

Man, I should've seen that coming.

Uh-oh, am I almost becoming predictable? I'll have to stir things up a bit more, in that case.

[Hee. It's like having his own little puppy around. Is this how Angeal felt? ...Well okay he probably had more exasperation on his part of things.]

Careful! Now I'm gonna expect something different.

Hmm... so should I lead you on to expect that and go with the old classic move, or should I pretend I'll switch over and then do something new anyway? You'll be guessing either way!

I'm really glad things have settled down for you, Ven.

[He's had it really rough for a long time now.]

[Aw, Zack. It's nice to hear that from a friend, and he definitely agrees.]

Yeah, me too. I hope it stays this way for a while.

What about that Vanitas guy? Is he behaving himself?

[He's not sure he should be bringing this up at a party, but with Ven finally less stressed, something must've changed.]

For the most part. He's still kinda grouchy, but I've been getting him some stuff to do. I think it's really helped.

I wonder if I should meet him someday. [A meeting that doesn't involve swords or anything. That could be interesting.]

I guess you could, but he's kinda a jerk still.

[Not as bad as he could be, but still a jerk.]

I've known plenty of jerks in my lifetime. I think I can handle one more.

[He's important to Ven, one way or another, so why not?]

Yeah, you're really tough! Plus, all he can really do right now is throw out some nasty insults.

So the scary Keyblade dude's been disarmed now?

Basically. He's blind right now, and he can't control the Unversed anymore.

Oh wow, rough. ...Think he'll go back to being like that if he ever gets his eyesight fixed, or is he changing for the better?

I'm hoping he'll be able to change before he gets his sight back. Even he knows that hurting people isn't gonna get him anything but more penalties.

Yeah, it is kinda pointless. Besides the temporary thrill, it's not like it gets us anywhere in the way of long-term consequences. What is it, a week for death and a few months for those penalty things to be gone? Then it's right back to normal.

Yeah, but losing his sight for months... It's a pretty big smack in the face, especially for somebody like him.
