Summary: The X-Men have decided to invite some of their buddies and pals (who all coincidentally have costumed alteregos) for some Turkey Day shenanigans.

Over the past week, the X-Men have invited a variety of their friends and contacts who they knew would celebrate Thanksgiving, but wouldn't have anyone to spend it with here in Luceti because they're all jaded loners. They were all instructed to try and bring a dish with them, but it was no requirement. Nevertheless, all the traditional foods would be present, along with some delicious extras.

ooc: Characters can interact out at the table eating, over on the couches, in the one of the two spare bedrooms, or preparing food in the kitchen. Or maybe catching some cool air outside on the porch. Whatever your fancy is! Also, prose or action brackets are cool. Pick your poison.

Regardless of how he might feel about Gambit, you don't go dissing an X-Man. Even one from another world. "She's not a weak link. She's handled stuff bigger and crazier than we have." By we, he means his X-Men. He has no idea what crazy stuff Robin has gone through.

"I don't mean to say she's incapable or anything," Robin quickly backpedals. "But she's got a soft spot for the Gambit she knows. She doesn't want to accept that this one might be different. He can use her against the rest of you."

"I know what you mean." This Jubilee seems a little more competent than the one back home. So far. "But I think she's smart enough to not let herself get used like that."

"Everyone's got a weak spot," Robin counters, unmoved. "If you were really interested in having her back, you'd look at the bigger picture. You don't have to threaten him. Just keep an eye out."

"I know, man. We're not new at this, yeah?" Though generally it's Scott and Logan who would be doing the watching. Despite all the training he's been put through, this is pretty new to him. He just doesn't want to admit it.

It's enough to make Robin chew on the side of his mouth to hold back the urge to say something that could potentially get him kicked out.

"Fine. But if you need backup..." He trails off deliberately.

"Yeah, don't worry, man. If we need you, I'll be sure to light the Robin signal." He kids. Though he wonders if Robin actually has one of those.

"I'll need to finish a communicator workup so we can stay in touch without relying on the journals. Parts are harder to come by here than I'd anticipated. [He'd start nicking bits and pieces from Stark's collection, but that's a can of worms that's staying closed.]

"I've had some successes with video equipment." It's required a lot of bubblegum, paperclips, and gutted materials from the item shop, but he's got something working at least. "It's just harder to work around wireless stuff without the usual help I have at home."

Sob, Cyborg would have helped him have this place bugged weeks ago.

"And asking the Malnosso is out, yeah?" He got a TV out of it. But Bil isn't offering anymore. And he suspects Robin wouldn't want to risk his bugged equipment being bugged.

"I don't trust them to keep putting an artificial sun in our artificial sky every morning." So no, they don't get to help Robin's engineering.

If they were outside, Kurt would be looking up. But since hes not, he just gives Robin a bewildered look. "... you don't think the sky and sun is real here?" It's not like the concept was foreign. He was familiar with the Danger Room and Battle Dome enough for that. He just didn't see the point.

"It's more that I wouldn't doubt if it wasn't," Robin clarified. "But I've suspected that things here are controlled down to the lighting since that experiment with the moon."

"I guess it could be." But that's not how he likes to think. It makes this place feel more like a cage than it already is. "... you know, we should just eat some pie or something, yeah?"

Good. The less comfortable it feels, the less likely Kurt is to get settled and complacent. But fine. It's a holiday.

"...Sure. Pie sounds great."

But complacency is great, Robin. And he keeps his girlfriend there.
