[ When Masaomi had told him that he'd found a girl to go out with him on Christmas, honestly? Mikado was a bit shocked. He wasn't really expecting anyone to agree to go on a date with him, much less for Masaomi's plans to work. But hey, it wasn't like he was going to turn it down!

It being Christmas, he figures it'd be a good idea to take along a small present of sorts. He doesn't know the girl, so he decides that a small thing of cookies would be safe, right? Girls like sweets and stuff, right?

So at the appointed time he will be knocking at this girl's door. doop doop ]

[ So part of Usagi was still unsure about this date thing - she did already have someone she liked, after all, even if he was back home and taken. Some stubborn part of her just refused to give up on that thought. But she had been asked so nicely about it, and he had said this Mikado guy would find it fun, so.. who would she be to not try to make someone happy at least, right?

Usagi is chronically late though, so when she hears the knock she's still busy with some last preparations before she dashes over to the door, quickly opening it with a big smile. ]

Ah..! Good day! You must be, um.. [ how had he called this guy again.. ] Mikado-kun, right?

[ Small polite bow! She's not Anri or Minako but... at least she's cute? ish?? ]

Yes! That's right. And you're... Tsukino-san? [ A bit of an... odd name. But he's not really one to talk. ]

But he holds out the small package of cookies. ] Merry Christmas! [ He says, but it sounds more like a question than an exclamation. ]

[ when she says it, it sounds more like some waterfall or storm of enthusiasm instead - go figure the most awkward boy would have a date with the most enthusiastic shameless girl.. ]

Did you really get this just for me? [ nearly sparkly-eyed here. ]

Ah, yes! I mean, I figured that since it's Christmas, it would be rude if I didn't get you anything... [ a pause and a smile, before he realized what he said. ] B-But it's not like I got it as an obligation or anything! That would be even more rude... [ sigh. How does he socialize with a girl. ]

[ usagi completely glances all over the awkward either way. ]

Ah, how great, a Christmas present just for me! It looks delicious..! [ wait.. ] How did you already know I like food this much? Do you maybe have mind-reading powers?

[ or maybe he just thought anyone would like cookies but as if she would pick the normal option. ]

...Eh? Well, no, I just figured that a lot of people like cookies, so...

[ a nod.. but then her mind seems to wander again. ] Although cake is my favourite too.. and ice cream..

...We can go to the bakery and get some cake, if you like? [ It's too cold for ice cream. ]

... Really? We could? [ her eyes go a little wide in surprise, but she nods rather eagerly. ]

That sounds great..! Let's get one with strawberries, those are the yummiest!

Sure! [ Smile!!! ] Are you ready to go?

Hmm! I am! [ she smiles back. ] Let's make sure to hurry up or there might not be any cake left!

Heheh, I think there'll be some left...

[ Well. She certainly is interesting so far.

[ She follows, walking next to him, and meanwhile she figures that.. well, she should at least be making some smalltalk and all!! And if there's anything Usagi is good at, it's running her mouth, so she smiles and eagerly starts talking. ]

So.. Mikado-kun, what kind of hobbies do you have?

Ahah, it's not very interesting, but... [ He scratches his ear sheepishly. It's been a while since he's talked about his own hobbies man ] I'm online a lot. So I like doing chats and visiting message boards... and stuff.

Ah, I sometimes visit message boards too! Mostly the one for Minako Aino's fanclub, though, since I always want to see the news about her newest album and all!

[ aka usagi is not online much at all, actually. ]

I personally like stuff like karaoke or going out to eat with my friends more though. .. Technically, I guess I could say my hobbies are sleeping and eating. [ she says it completely without shame. ]

[ Nodding along and listening. It's weird to think that he's on some sort of date with someone that he'd normally never talk to if they both went to the same school in Japan. ]

Heheh, sleeping and eating isn't such a bad thing... [ ignoring the fact that he does little of either thing ] And neither is karaoke! It's too bad they don't really have it here...

Ah, you like them too? [ she's just interpreting 'isn't such a bad thing' as 'IS TOTALLY AWESOME' here.. ] That's great! And.. actually, karaoke's not much of a problem here! Ami-chan and I found a machine for it in the rec center a little while ago. We did karaoke for Christmas, it was so much fun..

Eh, really!? [ shows how much he's been paying attention ] I didn't know that... [ pause... ] Hey, if there's time after cake, do you want to...?

Of course! [ she giggles, clapping her hands once. ] It'd be fun, right? Doing karaoke is the most fun when you're together!

[ smile!! ] Okay! I've never really been in the rec center, so you'll have to show me where karaoke is.

Of course! Just leave it to me, I bet I could remember with my eyes closed! [ ... ] Ah, unless I'd run into something because I had my eyes closed, that is..

[ ahahah ] Ah, it's okay, you can lead me with your eyes open...

[ Is that the bakery up ahead? Yes it is! When they enter, Mikado will go ahead and keep the door open for her like a good boy. ]

[ she nods as a sort of thanks when she walks in giggling, but when she sees all the cakes her eyes go wide and she's completely distracted. ]

Wow, look at all of these..! They all look so yummy!
