Who: Princess Natalia
What: Natalia is just wandering around Luceti, trying to find ways to be useful!
When: January 21st, mid-morning.
Where: All over!
Summary: Natalia is a Princess even in a new place. It's time to do what she does best --serve some villagers! And not kill them with cooking this time, okok. She will be leaning towards helping in the Clinic!
Rating: No higher than PG13 I don't think..!

Natalia was very used to waking up to the burden of tens of thousands of citizens relying on her leadership. It gave her purpose, something to do---something to strive for and to distract her from the events she still could not quite count as memories just yet.

But here in Luceti she was expected to simply exist without that mantle of leadership over her kingdom. It was..a very hollow sort of feeling. This in mind, Natalia set herself to waking early this morning, getting dressed properly, and preparing to leave House One.

She wouldn't say it out loud..but being in Luceti with people she had lost--hearing Nephry's words--it had a healing effect on her. She could feel herself start to smile a bit more openly, without that masked sadness she had been used to since the events of Eldrant ended.

The people here were just as good, (strange perhaps) as her own beloved Kimlascan citizens, and she felt they deserved everything she had to give, even if she still knew very little.

Shutting the door, Natalia stepped out into the crisp air and proceeded to begin what she hoped would be a productive day. Today she would find a way to help the people of Luceti, one way or another.

"ARGH! Get BACK here you bewigged paffle!" Sparrow soon came pelting along behind, hatless and ANGRY. "Hope you enjoy these final minutes with your guts on the inside!"

The implication being, of course, that SOON ENOUGH THEY WOULD BE ON THE OUTSIDE.

Norrington's attention was so focused upon the advancing pirate that he did not see the girl approaching until the very moment that she stepped into his line of sight. His eyes flitted over to her for a moment but his sword arm did not drop an inch, and, the moment having passed, his eyes shot back to Sparrow. It was with his attention directed toward the captain that he addressed the lady.

"You stand within range of a highly dangerous and intolerably incensed pirate. I must ask you to remove yourself, and with all haste."

"Aye, princess. Get out of the way. I've an Admiral to skewer." Jack circled, not taking his eyes off of the admiral -- trying to get around Natalia so he could lunge at James Norrington. It was very seldom that Sparrow got THIS ANGRY, but Norrington had been intolerable. It could not be allowed to slide. It had to be addressed.

The admiral had seen enough of the forms of magic in this place to know that though this girl appeared unarmed he should nevertheless be wary of those wavy arm motions. Perhaps she was a 'bender', as one of the fighters in his draft had been. He was wary of Jack Sparrow, too. For every step that that man took, he stepped to match. The two combatants were pivoting around her.

"This pirate has nothing of wisdom in him m'lady. Would that we might talk sense in the face of his folly, but I assure you we began on peacable enough terms. Now, step behind me here. I would not want you -- skewered."

"You think I'd touch the lady, churl?!" Jack was ignoring Natalia's leaderly tones, every moment growing more incensed at James's suggestion. "I'll protect her from your precious poetry, shall I? Thrice-yeast-eaten parrock-fancier!"

As soon as that insult flew past his lips, Sparrow plunged forward, trying to edge past the princess so he could spear the admiral.

It was habit and reflex to put his sword in the way of Sparrow's -- the action began as soon as he saw the muscles of the pirate's legs tense. He practically sensed the resolution that came over the other man. What he did not expect was the sudden strange phenomenon which manifested around them all in that same instant. Fortunate, then, that for every increment by which surprise threatened to delay his response to Jack's lunge the arte worked to enhance it. He did not dart forward with the grace that he would have liked, nor deflect the coming sword with the ease befitting his station, but he did at least preserve the lady's arm. He consoled himself with the fact that in truth, that was all that mattered.

"Are you happy, Sparrow? You have upset the young lady quite unduly."

Somehow he could not bring himself to go so far as to insinuate that the pirate had come within inches of causing the lady harm. Instead he targeted the pirate's language. As far as James was concerned, he himself was free from blame in the matter of her apparent distress.

Jack, meanwhile, spent a few moments being horrified that he'd almost cut her.

"WOMAN! What on earth could you have been thinking?!" he chided her, safely separated now from James Norrington. "I don't bloody well CARE if she's upset. She's done a very foolish thing, getting between a man and his vengeance!"
