A Peaceful Reprieve
Who: Van Hohenheim & his wife, Trisha Elric (Open to Edward & Alphonse Elric as well)
What: Once the jamjar reunion died down, Hohenheim catches the chance to reflect with his wife.
When: A day or so after the kids moved home.
Where: House #30
Summary: Simply a peaceful moment between husband and wife.
Rating: PG
After one too many failed attempts, Hohenheim decided to retire for the day and give his son the peace he deserved. Being a father was much more daunting than he ever imagined it to be, especially to two young men just climbing out of the recesses of boyhood. Edward was seventeen now, nearly a man in the eyes of society. He wasn't very keen about Hohenheim's need to lecture and decided to let his displeasure be known in a series of heated replies. Deciding to retreat to the living room for the time being, Hohenheim soon found himself stretched out across the couch like an lazy old dog. He fell asleep somewhere in-between the hours, the first time in a few days that he's been able to sleep without his worries constantly nagging him. While the bliss of sleep would be soon confronted by perhaps Edward's yelling or by an unexpected knock upon the door, Hohenheim slept peaceful upon the couch of his brand new home.
(ooc: prose or action are both weclomed~!)

Aw....Hohenhiem... [Then suddenly. Light bulb~. She began looking around for some markers to draw on his face. Maybe she could color his beard, too. Trying to hold back her laughter, she drew squiggles, hearts, and sparkles all over his face.]

...hm?
[ Uh oh! He's slowly waking up, Trisha. Time to ditch the evidence. ]
no subject
Did you have a nice nap?
no subject
Hm? Trisha?
[ He takes a moment to gain his bearings again before answering. The poor bastard is none the wiser about the silly doodles on his face. ]
Yeah, I guess I did have a nice nap.
no subject
That's good. Things have been pretty busy, hm?
no subject
[ "Busy" is an understatement if you really look at it. With their children now living with them, the house is a little livelier than usual, not that Hohenheim minds of course. He missed his family and having them all together again makes him happy and also a tad blind to Trisha's treachery. ]
But how about you? Things are going well, right?
[ He must've looked 100% goofy since Trisha did draw a "fake" mustache over his lips. ]
no subject
Very well. Though I can understand why some people wouldn't, I really do like it here.

[ He pauses momentarily to let out a big yawn. Apparently the poor guy hadn't gotten an ounce of sleep since he arrived here and how could he? He's been staying up all hours of the night keeping an eye out for the mysterious Malnosso. ]
But if this is supposed to be a prison, then it's a rather nice one.
[ Just can't find the will to complain since his beloved wife is here. Everything just seems so oddly perfect with Trisha here. ]

[...oh. She flushes a little at that, and gives him a kiss on the nose. Where there are luckily no doodles.
Fluff. How does I do it.]I still say it might be heaven. [She's got her whole family here, how can she complain at all?]

So yeah, then there's the black smudges.]

Check out some of those fancy doodles on his face. Looks like a five year old got to him. ]

But... he notices the doodles. They're kind of obvious, after all, and... silly. Very, very silly.
He can't help but snicker. Someone was having fun today, and he can guess who it was, too.]
no subject
...mhm...
[ He's waking up cause he hears something. ]
What?
no subject
...Snerk. Okay, he looks ridiculous.]
N-nothing...

[ Make sure that Edward catches a glimpse of the stick-figure riding a stick-figured Pegasus on the side of his face. That is probably the best doodle ever drawn. It should be at a museum. ]
Are you sure?
[ He adjusts his glasses a bit so he can get a better look at his son. ]

I'm sure, I'm sure!
