Summary: Following a chat with Shikamaru and a day's wait, Masaomi summoned Gold and him to talk about something.

[Masaomi shows up probably with Shikamaru to the barracks. He doesn't have his yellow scarf on, but he has a very grim expression. Shikamaru poked it out of him, yes, but he'd been considering it for a while. Pushing denial up with his drama with Katara. But... no. He ought to let his comrades know what's up. And here we are got it. he has a flashlight this time at least]

But despite how serious Masaomi is being - and despite having a good idea as to why and what they'll be talking about - Shikamaru will wait until they actually get talking before he dwells on it anymore than he has.]

[Gold does eventually show up, Explotaro in front of him as a light source. It's times like these that Gold wished his goggles had lights installed in them. That'd be awesome.]

[WELP let's go march down tot hat dark basement and lurk down there so he can sit all imperiously. He'll get to what he wanted to say once, you know, everyone's all comfortable]

[Right. Down they go, then. Shikamaru will actually sit instead of stand this time, still keeping close to the door and the walls, where the shadows will be thick.]

[Gold takes a seat on Explotaro's back, who lays down on the floor, still providing some additional light to the room. He crosses his legs and folds his arms in front of him.]

[He nods. Sighing... okay, let it out, let's focus.

[And then he opens to keep a direct look between them and-]

Last time, I omitted information. I'm sorry. I know who the leader of Dollars is.

You know.

[This wasn't exactly impossible, or even a surprise. He suspected Masaomi had a particular suspect, but it's stayed like that until this moment. A suspect.

This is a confirmation, one he sounds confident about.]

[Gold's tone turns frantic when Masaomi makes that little reveal. He had a feeling Masaomi had some suspicions; the guy had to be from his world, after all. But for him to actually know...]

Well? Who is it, then?!

[He holds up a hand. He's begging for - no, commanding silence. and then he shifts, keeping his gaze and tone even. He clears this throat]

Yes. But before I'm saying this, my orders are that we're not doing anything. We're keeping in the same monitoring position, we're waiting for Dollars to make the first move. After all, they might not do anything. It's very possible that I'm overestimating the possibilities. [but they are the Blue Squares] So if you do anything more than what we're doing now, I'll beat you myself.

The leader of Dollars is Mikado Ryugamine. [A beat. He didn't mean to say this next part, but it's only fair that they understand why it's serious despite what he said earlier] He's also the leader of the Blue Sqaures.

[endgames]

[The threat is probably necessary - not because he's worried about it, but because it lets him know just how firmly Masaomi stands on this. He's glad he didn't use that genjutsu yesterday after all.

The revelation about the Squares might be the one thing he wasn't in any way expecting tonight, though. Blue Squares. Those are the ones who were fighting with Masaomi's gang - the ones who put Saki in the hospital. Linking them to Dollars is finally starting to put some of this into better perspective.]

Was he the leader even back then...?

[He had a feeling it might be Mikado. That's how these things work, right? Forced to battle against your closest friend in a battle no one can win... ...But that doesn't mean he wanted to believe it. Who'd expect a guy like Mikado to be involved in something like that...?

But Shikamaru brings up a good point, so now he waits for the answer.]

No, of course not. [He frowns at that, deeply. Mikado doing that... no. Of course not. don't dig into the rage] Izumii was the leader then, and he was arrested for it. I don't know how Mikado is the lead... or why. I didn't even know the Squares still existed until he told me.

[He turns to gold now-] You probably saw that shark hoodie, right? [see here, the Jungle draft. Shikamaru might have stalked it too. also, it distinctly resembled a certain mask during that moon incident which made people violent... which aoba was pedalling] That's something their elite used to wear.

[On the draft, he definitely saw it. Might have missed the mask version during Halloween... he was occupied for a lot of it.

So Mikado had that - had told Masaomi he was the leader of the Squares now, but not Dollars, huh? And then there's other blanks here.. though that would probably explain why Masaomi stopped living with Gold and the rest of them, huh.]

Yeah... [he remembers that, vaguely. The hoodie, worn by Mikado... So those are signs of Blue Squares, huh? Tsk.] ...I saw it.

[Wait... The shark hoodie's design... It looks like that stupid mask Aoba was peddling during that one experiment... Are they connected, then? Tch... Gold knew he had a reason to not trust Aoba.]

Mmm. Mikado's told me directly about both positions. The Squares don't make sense to me still, but...

Maybe if you asked him to explain it.

[With a lot of people you'd think that'd be a given, but good communication isn't one of Masaomi's strong points. It's still something he should consider, even if he can understand the reasons of why he hasn't.]

As secretive as that guy is? I dunno how feasible that actually is.

It's not. [...He should explain] Back home, I didn't know any of this. Mikado didn't know I was the leader of the Scarves, and neither of knew... [...He doesn't want to explain how Anri as a borderline serial killer. He still doesn't get it] ...this other thing about Anri-chan. Here in Luceti, when Anri-chan was here the second time...

[Glance at Gold, Gold helped facilitate this] We all disclosed some secrets. During that, Mikado mentioned more about Dollars, but nothing about the Squares.

[So they all have communication problems. Wonderful.]

All I'm saying is that if things take a turn for the worst, it's an option you might wanna consider.

[They both know Mikado better, so he doesn't doubt they know what they're talking about. Before he and Gold knew his identity for sure though, other measures of dealing with him were brought up.]

...Alright, so I get you don't want us to take any action against Mikado. [He gets that. If Silver were in a situation like that... he'd be hard-pressed to strike against him.] ...What do you want us to do, then?

[generalflirt]

Stay frosty. Gold, you just keep talking if there's another Dollars message. [As for Shikamaru... he glances at him. Good question]

[endgames]

[He'll just raise an eyebrow here. He has his suggestions - especially if Gold does get another Dollars message - but things have changed some now. Masaomi may be following a completely different line of thinking.]

Yeah, I gotcha. [Provided Mikado hasn't figured out how to block transmissions to phones that rejected his offer, that is.]
