Let's get ready to rumble, boys and girls! A few quick notes:

Double check the fight roster--I moved some things around, namely matching up Firo with Homura since their respective opponents weren't able to participate. Let me know if something is amiss!

Characters who are fighting will be told their opponent's name upon arrival, and fights will proceed in the order they appear on the roster up there. Let me know if you need to be moved around for whatever reason!

Tony and Shikamaru will be policing the fights for any funny business, but fights will end when one of the participants forfeits or gets knocked out cold. So your character can get bloodied, bludgeoned, and broken and keep going if they wish! Remember, there's no magic since this is in the tunnels, and there are no weapons allowed in the fights. Just your fists, elbows, et cetera.

And should they have some owwies that need attention, Adele, Katara, Luca and Ange will be on hand to provide medical assistance. What troopers.

Spectators can interact however and whenever they want, so feel free to start a new thread for your character who is watching!

[And so Katara does her thing. She moves the bones into proper alignment with her bending and then heals them with Nala, all while keeping most of the pain localized and dull. It's a lot of tricky work for a fast job like this. But she will, as requested, leave the bones knit... but not entirely whole.]

Nose next. How's the breathing?

[Even dulled, it still stings. He recognizes it should have hurt a lot worse considering what she's doing, however.

He closed his eyes at some point, concentrating on what's going on internally. He's not usually in this position, so it's weird... He opens one eye when she talks.]

Better. [No longer so painful, with the ribs fixed.]

Good. [And then she puts one water-coated hand on the bridge of his nose, lets it cover the rest.] This... might be weird. If I have to cover your nose, get ready to breathe through your mouth.

[And she'll make with the healing, then.]

[He nods, not that it's much of a change. He can't exactly breathe through his nose with it like this anyways.

Now that he thinks about it, this is the first time he's really needed this kind of attention from her since that time she helped him when he was low on chakra. She used a special water then, he remembers, so it's doubly different.

Belatedly, as he feels the water over his nose, his posture relaxed and unchanged, it occurs to him that it would be very easy for her to kill him like this.]

[This doesn't take too long. It's a bone, but it's mostly cartilage, and she just needs to shift and isolate and heal. She does take the precaution of temporarily holding up the chi flare there, since she knows that's a sensitive area. It's not more than a minute before she drops her hands.]

There. All set.

[...but then she puts her water-coated hands on his chest.]

Just let me check and make sure I didn't miss anything when I was dealing with the obvious injuries. He got you pretty good.

[One hand comes up to feel the nose when she's done once everything's back in place. Normalcy is suddenly a strange sensation.]

Aa. He did.

Mmm. [That's all she'll say while she's looking through his chi pathways to make sure nothing untoward is inflamed or ruptured or otherwise endangered. But he's otherwise fine, except for those bruises that she promised to leave alone, and the tenderness of his ribs.

She streams the water back into her waterskin.]

You look happy.

[Tentative. Did you get what you came for? Are you happier for him or you?]

[He responds to that with a shrug, and pushes away from the wall to test his mobility. There was a question in that, he knows, but there's no deep meaning for her to find here. It is what it is.]

It all check out okay?

Yes, you're fine. Let's get back inside, it's cold and you'll be in danger of pneumonia for a while.

[She starts moving back inside, shuddering a little as the tunnels rip her powers away from her. It's a horrible, deafening feeling.]

I need to check on Masaomi too. That was a nasty kick to the head.

Got him a couple times there. Check his jaw too.

[She gives Shikamaru a wry look.]

I'll check him out.

[It'd be a shame if he couldn't talk for a while, after all. And she eyerolls at her own thought.]

Ha, look at that. He can manage the stairs on his own this time. Excellent.]

Better track down Naruto if I wanna get my vest back... [Scanning the people left, he thinks he spots him over there. Before going though, he turns back to Katara.] So uh...

[Katara is glancing around to locate Masaomi, job done with Shikamaru. She figured he'd want to be rid of her and be back about his business as soon as possible, so she's surprised when Shikamaru gets her attention and pauses to look at him.]

Yes?

...thank you. I'm glad you were here.

[Just that. And for more than this - his ribs and his nose. She yelled at them for doing this, and he knows he hasn't made it any easier. That she's listened and been supportive anyways means a lot.]

[Blink.]

[That was... entirely unexpected. And he'd have no reason to express it if he wasn't genuine, but... glad wasn't exactly how she'd have thought he felt about her insisting that she come.

In fact, it was rather the opposite. As such, what he says slips past the part of her heart which has been subconsciously preparing her to lose him too and genuinely touches her.]
