Let's get ready to rumble, boys and girls! A few quick notes:

Double check the fight roster--I moved some things around, namely matching up Firo with Homura since their respective opponents weren't able to participate. Let me know if something is amiss!

Characters who are fighting will be told their opponent's name upon arrival, and fights will proceed in the order they appear on the roster up there. Let me know if you need to be moved around for whatever reason!

Tony and Shikamaru will be policing the fights for any funny business, but fights will end when one of the participants forfeits or gets knocked out cold. So your character can get bloodied, bludgeoned, and broken and keep going if they wish! Remember, there's no magic since this is in the tunnels, and there are no weapons allowed in the fights. Just your fists, elbows, et cetera.

And should they have some owwies that need attention, Adele, Katara, Luca and Ange will be on hand to provide medical assistance. What troopers.

Spectators can interact however and whenever they want, so feel free to start a new thread for your character who is watching!

[ When you've been a soldier for basically your entire life, in all sorts of different situations, your training will do a lot of the thinking for you. In fact, she doesn't think - she simply reacts, ducking below the blow, and in the same movement reaching up to grasp his arm. Then she pulls, intending to flip him over her back. If she fails, it ought to at least unbalance him. ]

[Her success is probably not that stellar, though she does get him staggering, definitely. The problem is her size and the fact that he's weighed down by two rather heavy metal limbs. It does manage to send him one clear message, though- that she's faster than he thought she'd be. He's vaguely reminded of his fight with Ran Fan, actually. Better step up the pace a little.

He leans forward into a role rather than try to move back to the space he'd been in, twisting around to face her again, though he doesn't get back to his feet, exactly; instead, he stretches a foot out as he turns, trying to knock her down.]

[ It's a thing she understands quickly enough. Moving him bodily will be difficult; she'll have to try other things. Those metal limbs add more weight than she was expecting.

She sees the kick coming a second too late, and nearly manages to clear it by leaping out of the way, but he catches the back of her heel, tipping her over. Xion lands on her back, but uses the momentum to complete a backwards roll, landing in a crouched position. From there she launches herself directly at him, bodily, simply trying to knock him off balance and surprise him more than actually land a precise kind of blow. ]

[She'll get a scolding from Suki for that one later |D

The sudden lunge is unexpected, so she does at least catch him off balance, even if she doesn't have as much weight to her as he does. He lets himself fall back, choosing instead to try and flip her off of himself instead once he's on the ground and hopefully use the momentum to roll onto his feet once more.]

[ Whatever man whatever she recovered nicely, didn't she?

Anyway! Caught. But instead of resisting Ed's toss, she moves with it, smoothly recovering her feet, retaking the same battle stance as before. What all of this is telling her is that he won't be easy to take down - he knows how to take blows, and doesn't get off balance easily. She'll have to be at the top of her game to hope to take him down.

This time, she moves first, staying low, faking a blow to his lower abdomen before shooting an arm out high instead, aiming for his throat. ]

[Whoa, picking up the pace, are we? Edward moves to dodge the shot at his stomach, so the true attack catches him square in the jaw instead, causing him to stumble back a few steps. His eyes narrow, immediately launching into a series of twisting kicks. He knows he legs give him much better range than his fists, and she's shorter than him, so that should keep her on her toes.]

[ The first kick she only barely manages to dodge. Knowing she can't keep it up, she intercepts his second kick, grabbing and twisting, trying to throw him off to one side. Knocking him off his balance, again, and coming in quick for another round of quick punches and jabs. Everything she's doing is quick and fast and light - and none of her hits are heavy. Her goal is clear - not to overpower him, but tire him out. ]

[She'll have a hard time with that sort of goal, in this case; he's pretty good at matching her moves blow for blow, and even if she's a little faster than he is, he has two metal limbs that can easily act as shields when he can't quite keep up. Her tactic might be good, but her execution is flawed- at this rate, by staying on the offensive she'll tire herself out long before him.

But hey, if that's how she wants to play, he can roll with it. He's done this before.]

[ She starts to pick up on that fact as the seconds and minutes start to tick by. She's got energy to spare, but he seems to keep an edge on her no matter what she does. And she realizes she'll tire herself out before that happens to him.

So she abruptly switches gears, and stops going on the offensive completely. All she does is dodge his blows, moving, flowing, easily. And she'll keep that up unless he for some reason stops, or manages to surprise her. ]
